  • Problem with Windows Movie Maker 2.6 Re: Save movie file

I get the classic "Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available, the location of the backup is still available... "Message ETC, but I have a few additional details that I hope will help someone diagnose what might be wrong:

    * In fact, when I import video files (imports are in WMV format - I have converted to WMV using iOrgSoft Video Converter), he split the file into several clips of different lengths to seemingly without rhyme or reason (done on my old computer with a different version of WMM too).

Going to the statements in the following format:

    FileName_001 FileName_002 FileName_003 FileName_004... etc.

Then, I divided the clips if necessary to isolate the parts I want to drag them to the timeline.

Anyway, through experimentation I found that for each file, I can use all the clips, it was automatically divided in to the last, where I can only use a certain small part of it (the last of them is usually the largest by far) and have it save in a movie file.

So FileName_001, FileName_002, and FileName_003 will all work and save to a movie file in their entirety, and I can use a smaller portion of the FileName_004 and have it record as well. But if I spent a certain point in this last clip (FileName_004), it will not save.

So let's just say that the 8 seconds of FileName_004 can be saved in a movie file. If I try just to save 2 seconds of a value of the element after only the second 8 FileName_004 brand, it will trigger the "Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. I too Movie Maker 2.6 running in Windows 7 (64-bit), and sometimes she would not publish the movie. So today after reading things here, I did some research and found this page:

I removed the Movie Maker 2.6 from my PC and then downloaded and installed Movie Maker 6.0. I opened the last project of 2.6 MM that would not publish the movie in my new 6.0 and clicked on _Publish to this computer_. And it worked. So I tried a larger project which had also failed to publish the movie and it worked again, producing a 40 MB .wmv file.
So it seems under MovIe Maker 6.0, designed for Vista, works fine under Windows 7, at least if you download the file shown to Movie Maker Blog of Blaine (Blaine Hat!).

  • Problems with Windows Movie Maker: video/Audio, cut and cutting

I recently did some videos, but there was this thing really annoying happening in the middle of the video. Okay, let's say I put together all the clips in Windows Movie Maker for my taste, and it's how I wanted it to be. I saw it and then suddenly in the middle of the video the sound shuts down or freezes the clip or it will just empty. I have not been able to solve and so I can't do more videos without him just hide or cut.

Please help, I need to make a video for a deadline but nothing I try suddenly freezes or cuts in a specific clip. How is what is happening and what can I do to stop it. I've accidentally done something or it just freezes.

Thanks, I need all the help I can get!

  • Problem with Windows Movie Maker.

Hello. Yesterday, I tried to import audio files in Windows Movie Maker. The file is in mp3 format. An error comes up saying that WMM does not support the file type. I thought it was strange because a few months I was able to import a mp3 file in WMM. in any case I tried to convert the file in wav format, and he always says the same thing. I also noticed that in the House program tab my add music option is grayed out, as I can't select it. Someone help me please.

  • Problem with Windows Movie Maker - Audio is messed up

OK, so I'm doing a film, with the lyrics of a song. I put pictures of her and paired words. It worked fine for a few songs. Then when I went to make another, I imported the song, but the time of audio changes. I mean, it's that I can't say... 0:20 seconds in the song and it should play the same part of the song, whenever I go to 0:20 seconds. On mine, it keeps switching autour. I'll go to 0:20 seconds and it will play what he normally plays at say 0:15 seconds. Or I'll set it to 0:40 seconds and he will play the music to 0:20 seconds. That's when I jump to that point in the song. If I start from the beginning and let him play through, then he plays at the normal time to 0:20 or 0:40 seconds. But he messes up and plays the wrong thing when I skip some time that is not at the beginning. Does anyone else have this problem? How should I do? Should I uninstall WMM and redownload it? Or is it a thing of setting? Help, please! Thank you!

I had this same problem. Assuming that the music is your use of WMM in iTunes, follow this:

    1. open iTunes

    2. click on Edit--> preferences

    3. click on import settings

    4. in the drop-down arrow next to the import to help:, select WAV encoder

    5. press the OK button

    6. now click on the songs you want to use in WMM

    7. click on advanced and click on create the WAV Version.

    8. now, when you return to WMM, click on import Audio or music and go to your iTunes folder. Versions WAV songs you create must be there and when you import, you should have no trouble in :D
