  I have a Windows 7 Home Premium computer

  I read all the suggestions and I tried to download several versions of Adobe Reader for Windows 7 and Vista http://get.adobe.com/reader/otherversions/.

  Before you download each version, I would delete the current version with uninstalling programs for the control panel.

  After each new installation I shut down the computer and restart the computer.

  I tried to download the versions with and without going through my antivirus (CA Total defense) running.

  After downloading, I thought that the version downloaded successfully.

  I have read the help of Acrobat http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/troubleshoot-reader-installation-windows.html and followed the instructions.

  None of the above helped.

  The problem is that any version of Adobe Reader, download, I can't open a PDF file and read it. Or the drive itself will remain open.

  1. If I try to open the drive from the desktop link or real program menu, the Player opens for 5 seconds and then closes spontaneously. If I try to click on the Player menu (File, Edit, View, window, help, tools), then an alarm will sound and the menu does not open. Soon after, the reader is closed.

  2. If I try to open the drive by double clicking on a PDF file then the Player opens but the document is not displayed (only the grey player screen PDF is specified), then the drive closes after 5 seconds on its own.

  The desktop shortcut shows like 'red icon Adobe Reader'. But the real program menu icon shows as empty a folder icon.  All documents in PDF format displayed as Adobe PDF icon.

  I tested several PDF files and none will open on this computer, but they will open on other computers.

  I created a word document and saved as a PDF file. It looked as if it had record properly (a the appropriate icon) but when I try to open it according to point 2 above the document is not displayed and then then the drive closes after 5 seconds on its own.

  Anyone have any ideas on what is happening and how can I fix?

However, when I went to do a manual update of Windows, I am nailed with a Trojan horse! Apparently, the Windows Firewall and Microsoft Security Essentials have been affected by turning off HTTPS in Hotmail! It's 2012, and it's terribly disappointing that Microsoft only has not ironed out all the imperfections in these services now. If anyone can give me a solution (in simple terms), I would appreciate it!

• Problem with the combination of LabVIEW (dynamic distribution) classes, statechart module and module FPGA

  LOCATION:

  -I am developing a software plugin based on plug-ins based on LabVIEW classes that are instantiated in running. Plugin real classes come from the plug in generic classes that define interfaces to the VI instantiation and can provide basic functionality. This means that many of the methods of the class are dynamic distribution and even methods of child classes can call the parent method.

  -Plugins top level (the ones directly accessible by the main VI) each have a run method that animates a plug-in specific state transitions.

  -Transitions of the plug-in data acquisition (DAQ class) class calls a method of the DAQ class that reads data from an FPGA card OR and transmits to another component via a queue.

  PROBLEM:

  -Higher sampling rate, a FPGA-to-host FIFO overflow occurs after some time. When I "weigh" the system just by moving a window of Firefox browser on the screen, the overflow is triggered immediately. I did not have this kind of problem in older software, where I was also reading a FIFO of FPGA, but made no use of LabVIEW classes or diagrams.

  SOLUTIONS I'VE TRIED (WITHOUT SUCCESS):

  -J' put the transitions in a timed (instead of a simple while loop) loop that I assigned specifically to an own kernel (I have a quad-core processor), while I left all the other loops of my app (there many of them) in any simple loops. FIFO overflow still occurs, however.

  QUESTION:

  -Does anyone have a tip how I could fix this problem? What could be the cause: dynamic distribution methods, the acquisition of data of state transitions or just the fact that I have a large number of loops? However, I cannot change the fact that I have dynamic distribution methods because it is the essence of my architecture...

  I've now changed the execution priority of all the screws involved in reading of the FPGA FIFO '(highest) priority critical time '. This seems to be improving the situation much: so far I have not a FIFO overflow, even when I move around the windows on the screen. I hope it stays like that...

• Problem with the Menu of Microsoft starting and turning off Legacy USB Support

  I recently bought an Adesso ADP-PU21 active USB-PS/2 adapter. Most of the time it works OK except when the computer wakes from sleep. For troubleshooting I tried to turn off Legacy USB Support in the BIOS of my computer settings just to see if that helped what whatsoever. However, my keyboard does not work until Windows has finished starting when the legacy support is disabled. I can't use the Microsoft boot menu to select an operating system to start. This is the reason why I made this thread to get help with it. I have dual boot between Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit and Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. Is there a way to fix this, so I can have usb legacy support turned off and continue to use the start menu? I had this problem before, when I tried something else but I don't remember what it was. I hope in any case, there is an alternative for this switching usb legacy support back on. Any suggestions?

  I tried several times to install the following updates downloaded by auto update 5/12

  Update for Microsoft Office System 2007 (KB967642)

  Dungeon updates not only give me an error code 8007066F Windows Update encountered an unknown error. I don't know when I search this error code. Should I try a different approach to the update? I am running Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit.

  After beating my head against the wall for several hours (days) research and try a lot of different things I contacted the support of Microsoft Office. While there was time, their Tech Support solved the problem that apparently was having problems with the installation of Microsoft Office that would not allow updating. The solution required unistalling all the Office applications, doing some cleaning and then reinstall Office. Once this was done the updates installed successfully, like Service Pack 2. It was required a research engineer - it was way beyond my abilities. I am pleased to say that the problem is solved and I can't stress enough how much I care I just started with this option and saved manny, many hours of time and frustration. Experience with the support person, that I have had - spread over some time - has been remarkable. You save time and headaches - if you find any information on your error code get help from M/S even if you have to pay for it. If your time is worthless as it's well worth.

• Help. Very stupid problem with the placement of word files.

  As you can see I am a beginner total to Indesign. I don't know how but I can't place any text imported from Word into my project. Weird thing that if I create a new document it works. However, in this project I've done a lot of styles and other things so I don't want to start from scratch, so the question is:

  Is there some option "I accidentally the entire project" and is anyway to fix it. [Or maybe export styles and master pages to another document?]

  Ok.

  There are a number of possibilities for what are the causes of the text immediately became excessive. Is usually only a problem with a youove of added restrictions that makes a too wide to fit in the frame line (but it can also occur if you have a set of "keep the option" which requires the text to stay together and there is inusfficient space to hold all the lines, or requiring that the text starts on an odd page / hand and the one you have is wrong).

  The most common cause is probably the wrong application of the No. Break attribute. New users sometimes confuse this to how to disable hyphenation, but in fact it prevents any text to which it is applied to break even between words. Next most common, I think, is a long text string with nonbreaking spaces between the words (I see a lot of this in Word documents), and not allowing not standard, yet once, there are no place to get out.

  I've also seen cases where the format for the text calls for a font size of very large size, which makes it impossible to fit the text, or when the dashes from left or right, in the paragraph style, override local formatting or text block options, are too large to allow the text to fit.

  The best way to find out, in my opinion, is to choose the frame then go to Edition > edit in story editor, you can see and select the text and check these things.

  Seems to get more acquainted with how ColdFusion is installed on your production system. You might find web root under a directory like/inetpub/wwwroot/and are usually directly above where you ColdFusion templates are located. Can't speculate as to what 'reader' it would be, as you didn't say if you're on UNIX, Windows, MAC or Linux, etc., not that this would help a lot. Who configured your server, or at least who is the administrator or webmaster? I would like to have a conversation with him or her.
