• Projects that merge in RoboHelp 8

  I've never merged projects before so he of probably user error, but when I followed the steps from the Adobe Help system to merge the RoboHelp 8 projects, build the project and then he discovered my merged project is not present. That's what I did:

  (5) I went to the generic project (located in a separate folder)
  (6) I clicked on OK
  (7) the generic project name appeared in the table of contents
  (8) I have generated the project as usual
  (9) I clicked on show results and the only things that is there is just the stuff of the client project. None of the generic project is available.
  
  Everything I read says the merged project does not show up until the project is published. With the way that we work, I guess I do not understand the difference between the production and publication. What is happening is that I build the project, WebHelp Pro zip file, send it to a developer or put in a drive shared according to the customer and the developer then the files attached to the system. To call the correct screen, I have to include a HTM for each single screen (wfm) in the application. The application calls the screen name with the same name, HTM, which displays a help screen for this screen page and the user can use the navigation (TOC or search or links) to find help topics they are looking for. I doubt that is the 'best' way to do, but I work with developers on a 12 hour time difference and it's how they asked files. Point being - there is no step of "publication" according to my understanding of the issue. I know there is a server somewhere because the query to actually we build is on a server, but I do not know the technical aspects on how my HTM files that I create get on this server and appear online.

  Actually, I had the entire project of the child previously built, but that I was wrong, it's that I didn't not create a folder for the child. It seems that in the table of contents, you must include a separate folder for the mergedProject to enter. I called him just the same thing I called the project of the child. For example "global features." You cannot have just the mergedProject go in the table of contents without being in a folder (normally). That said, I found a way to get there before I found this solution. I did all the steps that Peter Grainge had suggested, so I copied and pasted the! Record SSL where the project of the child was saved in the folder mergedProject of the parent project. That's basically what RoboHelp anyway, but do it manually allows you do not have to create only a record in the table of contents - fair provides a different navigation the same.

  My question is this.  I have a project that contains the danger and process interactions of training wheel.  I publish 9 Captivate in HTML5.  When I saw the project to aid in HTML5 browser, everything works as it should, spotted in the Chrome browser.  Once I publish, the interactions of widget will not play in chrome, but will play in IE11.  I found a ticket that this problem has been fixed in Captivate 9, but which is not what I see.  Why is it happening and what is the solution?

  How did deploy the published course? You must upload it to a server, Web, or an LMS to have all the features of learning interactions (widgets). Local play won't.

• whdata, whgdata and whxdata output files

  I wonder if I can remove records of output whdata and whgdata of my projects. Aid works on the servers of our clients, who are IE 5 or better (we don't have to worry about support non - IE browsers). We use the WebHelp DHTML version - at least I suppose that we fall into this category, because we use some DHTML features, and we specify "Java Applet: DHTML > Applet Java > pure HTML" in our WebHelp SSL. So if I understand correctly, we need that the folder whxdata to support our help.
  
  Is that correct, or am I missing something? In particular, the whgdata file gets to be big enough. Is there a danger in my omission it?

  Just to amplify a little bit,

  Some of these files are "duplicates" - in other words, they have the same content of text - but code is customized for browsers other than IE and IE browsers prior to version 5.5. There may be some differences between IE 5.5 and IE 6. I'm not sure.

  And you should not assume that the latest IE browsers are only the whxdata folder. As Peter says, you would need thorough testing.

  Finally, as a reminder and for the readers of the forum who cannot not seen these tips:

  Each merged project has its own set of these three files, which the main project used to build the table of contents, Index and search databases on the fly. So even if they have identical names, they are not duplicated or redundant. Whether they are.

  Last year, my school bought a membership creative cloud for the neighborhood. However, not many teachers is actually using the cloud, and we do not want to lose. • Gap between the header and spry menu bar (school project)?

Which I did, but there is this small gap between the header image and the spry menu bar and the header that I can't get rid of.   I need help:
  
  I recently started a school project and I installed IIS on my computer and created a server local, all I can think about. I guess I'm just too much of a beginner. I tried to put any type of video on my page. I have the video downloaded on my computer and I have read the forums to try to understand what I did wrong. I can't find a way to do it. I have the file in many different types. (.mov, .swf and .js,. ed., .wma). I would really appreciate help because I tried for a few days now.
