Promotions (daily deals) landing page for customers.

Hello

I want to offer a service for my clients to view, to deliver and management of daily contracts as another article to add to their existing Web sites. I was wondering if instead of developing a safe zone / web app etc, I could use the structure of customers/partners with models and customization of the admin panel.

I have a few questions:

Is it allowed to use adobe BC to create a page of landing or a section for existing websites (not a site in itself). I ask because I just read a few warning Adobe on the correct use of the partner portal?

Can replicate customizations to the administration console (for example to hide some menus) when you create a new site?

Thanks for your comments!

Conny

Your question is not entirely clear.  Do you mean providing access to the customer on your partner via an associated user name portal. If Yes, then I am struggling to join the dots between that and provide a door daily on the page to the client.  First of all, I would not recommend providing a customer with a partner ID. Regardless, if you did, then there no way to limit the admin experience they would get. They would have full access to everything you see.

I'll make a guess here what you're wanting to achieve is to create another deals with site for the client, but you cannot justify the doubling of their hosting fees just for the module this feature?  If that is correct, then it's entirely feasible within his hosted site.

Theoretically, you could build several sites within one hosted site.  You can assign unique names for each site and have these go to unique landing pages. However this requires a very tight navigation and linking the structures more by specifying the canonical URL on every page to help mitigate the risk of cross contaminating the search indexing sites. (for example you have 2 sites with unique pages... 'www.siteone.com/onepage.html' and 'www.sitetwo.com/twopage.html'... it is no problem.  But because they share the same host and then each page is also through the other domain. for example, sitetwo.com/onepage.html is a valid url. If paths exist between the two sites by which pages can be indexed via a domain and then Google will index both. Who will be considered duplicates and will hurt ratings for the two sites.

This does not mean that you should not do. There are times when running a separate site hosting a good sense to do so. This means simply there is more to do at the level of policy-making and management to make it work properly must weigh that.

  • Landing page for the different language in LMS options

    I need to create a landing page with options for different language for the same course that can be loaded as a single LMS-ready package.

    My solution was to create the same in each language, export in the .exe and then create an exceptional Captivate file with links to each of the languages as 'open file/URL', but I've known errors trying to do.

    I saw a person offers to write an HTML index page which links to each. I like the idea of this, but I don't know how it worked in a LMS System.

    Another idea would be to create a single Captivate project as described here: Options multilingual in a single course with Adobe Captivate 5.5 "Rapid e-Learning | Adobe Captivate Blog - but the inability to locate the bar reading/table of contents in each language, I avoid it.

    What are my options here?

    The easiest way to do this is to create a main project folder and publish all your projects DSL SCORM in specific folders, do not publish for zip.

    You create an html page that has links to specific language folders or a non-SCORM project. We could call this menu.html.

    Now you need some SCORM files.

    You need an imsmanifest.xml file to create the LMS link to your menu.html and a metadata.xml with title and description.

    We actually already have structures with the manifest and SCORM files already set up to do this associate.

    The manifest looks like this:

    xmlns = "http://www.imsproject.org/xsd/imscp_rootv1p1p2."

    xmlns:adlcp = "http://www.adlnet.org/xsd/adlcp_rootv1p2".

    By connecting to the CSA, I want to land on the page containing the communities that I am following. Example:

    The logon procedure identifies me so land on my page of interest should not be difficult. So need me a certain number of clicks and changes to access the page containing my communities followed. Example from where I have the Earth currently:

  • Problem with images not displaying only not the landing pages with IE8

    We had a page that has been tested and seemed well, and when it was used as a landing page for the tactic today, one of the images does not appear in IE8 (the red x).  Other images will display correctly, including the different file types.  In addition, the same image that does not appear in IE8 is displayed in Firefox, Chrome, and IE10 (other browsers have not been tested yet).  Eloqua support had other suggestions for re - download the source image... This does not resolve the issue.

    Everyone knows about this problem?  If so, do you know a solution/fix for it?

    OK, we just found this... turns out that this particular image had been saved as CYMK, RGB in Photoshop not.  When it was changed to RGB, it worked.

  • Microsites/Landing Pages

    I'm a bit confused-, but can someone explain the difference between a landing page and a microsite?

    Thank you

    The microsite is the URL of the actual site which are hosted your landing pages - for example: go.companyname.com

    Landing page you would then be the following:

    Go.CompanyName.com/whateveryounameit

    The URL of the destination above page is the page people will visit, the microsite is the place where the landing pages are sitting.

    Make sense?

  • Hidden form fields - Landing Page Data Capture

    I'm trying to use 1 generic form on all landing pages we create for Webinar sign.  in order for me to pass the correct form by webinar data via the form of treatment to the module of the event concerned, I need to have a hidden field that contains the identifier of unique landing page.  What would it be?  If that's the name of the destination page, then what is the real call tag and how that I insert in the hidden field?

    the objective here is to have: 1 generic form used in webinar multiple landing pages that transmits data through several modules of the discipline concerned for each webinar.  See below for a brief scheme.

    Thank you!

    DOM

    Quick question - is the landing page for each webinar on a canvas of separate campaign? If so, you can use the URL that contains the elqcampaignid to delimit the module in which Webinar to send it to. You simply need to add as a hidden field on the form, and then add the code to extract the value of the URL. You can find instructions and the code here: How to capture Sources referring to the Landing Pages and forms using query strings

    If they are not on separate canvases, you can use the same method as above, but it would just come with your own query string parameter to add to the url. Example: http://www.url.com?webinar=A

    In the example above, you just have to then a hidden form field "webinar" and update the code to reflect this hidden field. The key he ensure that's connecting to these landing pages then have this added query string.

  • Rules signature on landing pages?

    All the

    I have a few questions about the rules of signature and page layouts.

    First of all, the signature rules are always related to the Eloqua users?  If you have a system with hundreds or even an umpteenth vendors where you want to use signature page layouts, is it necessary to add all of these vendors as users?  I know that Eloqua helped upload signature mappings in large quantities (see this page), but I do not know how this relates Eloqua users.  And, if the signature rules are always related to users, is it possible to add new users in bulk?  I ask this question in the context of an application that is not a CRM integration.

    Second, it is possible to use page layouts of signature or the rules on landing pages, for example to show the name, address and photo sales person contact?

    Thank you

    Andy

    Signature rules - they are only used to deploy the emails from a particular sender... the sender must be a user in your database, eloqua... these go with email sending only and cannot be used on landing pages... you can always download the users... settings--> all upward--> users-->, click users, next to the bar to get started... Select users to download/update... here, you'll have a sample file with formatting required to use in the download process...

    signature layouts - these are similar to the CDA, but will merge the data of the registration of the user of the sender... data being merged are defined by the registration of the user of the shippers (so these a little need to be used in tandem with signature rules) and on e-mail only...

    However, you can use domain merges with information rep on emails and landing pages...

  • Download of landing pages

    Working with a new body who do not know the Eloqua.  For the first time, we use the download feature in Eloqua to landing pages rather than WYISWYG. This is not my forte - I'm not good at coding, etc.

    They argued the landing pages for me, with outside JS and CSS for html to call. And so I learned that it does not work in Eloqua. I know I could put the css docs in the content library, but it doesn't have to move in this direction. Instead, we he changed so that the html code includes these elements in the html code (again, not an expert, so I can be totally butcher my descriptions here).

    In any case, the Agency is really satisfied with this method of doing things.  Does anyone have any comment on that? Is - it really against best practices? Is there something else we could do? All the comments I've seen on Topliners, etc. suggested that people are generally satisfied with the product html download in Eloqua for landing pages. I don't know how we had such massive disconnection or how to facilitate this operation. Appreciate the comments of the Eloquans!

    We are a little new in this process, so you can take my comments with a grain of salt.  What we have found so far, is that it is easier to work with landing pages in Eloqua if the CSS and JS are online, as you saw.  Which allows you to make changes directly in the Eloqua html editor.  Otherwise, if you need to make changes in the CSS or JS, you will need to change the external files, download the new versions to the content of Eloqua, and then re-link to the new versions of CSS and JS library.  And you should probably remove older versions of the files, just so that you have not confused.  The file library includes a function to update a file in place but it works so slowly that they are useless.

    Is - this recommended?  No, it isn't.  The use of external CSS and JS files is a common practice in the design of web pages and has been for some time.  But as far as I know, Eloqua does support the use of the files CSS and JS separated well enough to make at least a practical function, if you try to host all the files on the servers of Eloqua.  I think that it is an area where Eloqua could greatly improve.

    There is another alternative.  You can host the files CSS and JS outside the repository of Eloqua, for example on your own website.  Link to these files directly from your Eloqua HTML landing page.  Then, as long as you have a good process to make changes to these files as necessary, and deploy quickly, you do not need to go through the hassle of trying to maintain links to files in the repository of Eloqua since they change over time.

    Who is?

  • Best practices for the webinar Landing Pages

    We are developing a landing page that hosts several seminars online and want to get an idea of how others have done it.  Here's our scenario:

    PLAN:

    We push an email highlighting a webinar.  Clients fill out the form for this specific webinar and for sending the email with the link, the landing page is redirected to a list of other webinars to choose (previously registered or not).

    QUESTIONS RELATING TO THE:

    Did anyone done this before? How to follow Webinars a person clicks - through? There must be a better way than to have a person to submit a form to watch/attend each webinar.

    Also, can you do activity driven or landing page upside DOWN so that it lists only webinars which it has not already chosen or read?

    Can't wait to hear your best practices! Thanks for sharing.

    Hi Julia,

    You have at least two options for the capture of submission of form to your visitors without them knowingly send a form:

    1. If your confirmation page is hosted in Eloqua, you can use the links send blind form to these other Webinars. There is an article on Topliners here on how to install this feature to write links, but it's actually the same with regard to links to landing pages: trigger actions multiple with a click-through email (via 'send blind form').

    2. use "gated forms. You can apply this technique on all the forms on your site - the visitor will have to submit the form to get the first active, but each subsequent active form is hidden (a concept similar to sending blind form, they just see a link). Generally speaking, customers chose to have a consultant Eloqua build the frame (you can easily maintain over time when you add new assets), or you can build it yourself by following the related step by step guide to this post Eloqua Artisan.

    With the help of a form submission to capture these clicks gives you the opportunity to enjoy all of these smart actions of processing steps and get a tracking more than just using a regular.

    For your second question regarding conditionalizing links so that only those that have not been visited show - I recommend you really against that. What happens if your visitor wants to go back to the link, how can they access it? Leave it to the browser and use different colors for non visited compared to visited links.

    In any case, after downloading the HTML page, I have to go in the bin of the component library files and download each asset, then get the real URL (for example, http://domain.com/Web/landing/%7B7cb4efcc-8ff9-4b54-9add-5f07d783930b%7D_video-thumbnail-1.png)and paste it into the editor of Eloqua. I do it about 60 times for all files that requires this homepage and I was wondering if there is anyway to make a transfer to batch of these types of files?

    I know that after the landing page HTML upload it is an option "Treat files" (see table), but never, I got 20 percent of the files even listed there so I skip this option and "Do nothing" every time because it is easier to track and get the URL of the component library file. There may be a way for me just to solve this problem? Let me know, thanks!

    I tried with the above code to do this, but I don't think I was sticking to the right place as it was a mistake

    On my database (phpMyadmin) I've already implemented 3 columns: company, username & database, example below:

    Most of our clients will get the same username and password to enter the same homepage

    You can do it for a limited number of users;

    First, he must add "society" to the query.

    $LoginRS__query = sprintf ("SELECT company, user name, password AND password OF connection WHERE username = %s is %s",

    Then you need get the "society" based on the name of user and password:

    $LoginRS = mysql_query ($LoginRS__query, $searchDB) or die (mysql_error ());

    $row_rsDetails = mysql_fetch_assoc ($LoginRS);

    $loginFoundUser = mysql_num_rows ($LoginRS);

    And then the last piece of php code should look like below:

    Only 3 companies in the database to GET their 'dedicated page' - all the others will go to normal.php if they provide the name of user and password correct.

    If (isset($_SESSION['PrevUrl']) & false) {}

    $MM_redirectLoginSuccess = $_SESSION ["PrevUrl"];

    }

    $company = $row_rsDetails ['company'];

    If ($company == 'standard') {}

    Header ("Location: standard.php");

    }

    Else if ($company == 'Advanced') {}

    Header ("Location: advanced.php");

    }

    Else if ($company == 'super') {}

    Header ("Location: super.php");

    }

    ElseIf ($company! = 'standard' | $company! = 'Advanced' | $company! = 'super') {}

    Header ("Location: normal.php");
