Qosmio F20 - Power options menu drop-down has changed.

Hi everyone, I wonder if someone knowledgeable can help me with this:

In Control Panel/power options, there is a drop down menu, which + used to + have an entry of "Toshiba." No more. I have no idea how this has disappeared... Anyone know if it can be restored one way or another?

Thank you

    When this happened to me, it was malware that didn't stop my computer, probably because she wanted to do something with it. I held the power button down until the computer is turned off manually, then I rebooted in safe mode - I run Vista - and ran some virus and malware programs until I found the beast and it crashed. You can also run a scan MS online at onecare.live.com, which was updated earlier this week. Moreover, I had not any data loss or permanent damage.

  • Y at - it an option to activate the menu drop-down overview of the policies?

    Until about a week ago, I could type in the menu and the box of selection taking place and I could select fonts. (as in the image below) Now, it only goes to the exact police that I type, and there is no drop down with it. It's really make things more difficult for me. I can get the menu drop-down appears, but only if I click on the arrow and use the mouse. The second, that I start typing it disappears.

    Does anyone know how to recover my preview? I'm worried that I hit a weird keyboard shortcut.

  • Firefox 4 the "Close tab" button is missing from the "File" menu drop-down

    In Firefox 4, the "Close tab" button appears not in the "file" pull down.

    This button appears in Firefox 3.6.16 but is now gone.

    I need when I have two windows open, each with one tab open and I want to close a window.

    The only option presented to me is "Quit", that closes both windows...

    It would be good [if they insist on the order being missing] to have SOMETHING beyond the CTRL-W command [which fortunately works again]. I thought it was a windows application and not BACK. I hope that the command is available in a menu drop down, especially because it has a long history of existence in a rational place.

    It will be interesting justify how to remove a menu command dropdown is somehow "better".

  • Save the choice by the user in the menu drop-down

    Hey guys

    How is everyone today? I hope you are all okay

    I am facing a problem, I made a menu drop-down with 2 options, each option changes something in the way of the application of notification showing, once the application is closed, it returns by default (no selected value... which makes sense, because I do not know how to record yet)... so is there anyway to save the user's selection in the menu?

    Here is the code

         DropDown {
                id: drop
                enabled: false
                Option {
                    text: "Every 15 minutes"
                    value: 1
                }

                Option {
                    text: "Every 30 minutes"
                    value: 2
                }
                onSelectedValueChanged: {
                    if(selectedValue == 1){
                        //because it's milliseconds
                        timer.interval = 900000
                        timer.start();
                    }
                    if(selectedValue == 2){
                        //because it's milliseconds
                        timer.interval = 1800000
                        timer.start();
                    }
                }
            }

    Thanks a lot guys

    Hi Alem... from your code snippet:

    if (theOptions[count].value == settings.getUserSelectDrop)
    {
        drop.selectedIndex = count;
    }

    The problem I see here is that getUserSelectDrop is a function, not a variable, and so he needs parenthesis after it else Qt will stop execution of JavaScript as soon as he's trying to run it.

    Try this:

    if ( theOptions[count].value == settings.getUserSelectDrop() )
    {
        drop.selectedIndex = count;
    }

    The other thing I would say is that getUserSelectDrop() reads the value of the settings file every time through the loop, who has a bit of a drop in performance. I recommend to save the value of a local variable only once before the loop, then use for comparisons instead:

    var userSelectDrop = settings.getUserSelectDrop();
    for(var count = 0; count < theOptions.length; count++)
    {
        if (theOptions[count].value == userSelectDrop)
        {
            drop.selectedIndex = count;
            break;
        }
    }

    Note also in this last code that I added a break statement, if the value matches to avoid the loop to test all the values more unneccesarily.

  • How can I use a selection of menu items drop down to change another field value?

    Hi guys! I work in a medical care center and I need to create a PDF file that must contain certain fields in the form. I managed to create the largest part of these areas, but I'm stuck in a menu drop-down. The drop down menu contains the names of 83 employees. Each employee has a unique code of 6 numbers. I wish these codes to appear automatically in another field based on the selection of a brand in the drop-down menu field. Is there a way to do this without scripts? I'm not a programmer and have no programming capabilities. I work in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC!

    Forms.jpg

    You can do this by using a very simple script.

    Basically what you need to do is define the export value of each item in your drop-down menu for the corresponding code to this person and then use this code as the custom text field calculation script (replace 'Employee' in the code with the actual field name, of course):

    Event.Value = this.getField("Employee").valueAsString;

    PS. You must also enable the option validate the selected value immediately in the drop-down list field. You'll find it under properties, Options tab.

  • Show alert window when the selection is made in menu drop-down (or when the text field is filled)

    I'm a JavaScript novice writer and need help a warning window that meets the programming user selection form a menu drop-down.

    If the user selects any option except the default choice (which is just an empty space), I want an alert is displayed.  If the user is moving through this area without changing the default value, nothing should happen.

    I have a script attached to the "blur" event for the dropdown menu, but it appears each time you tab in this area, of course.  I don't know how to tell him to display the alert if and only if the user has changed the selection.

    Similarly, I have another field which is a simple text field.  If the user types anything in this area, I would like another alert window pops up.  The thing from the drop-down list seems a little more difficult, so if anyone can help me get that squared away, I can probably understand how to program the alert text field.

    In fact, it's the same code for both types of fields:

    If (event.target.value! = event.target.defaultValue) app.alert ("your message");

  • Try to change the menu drop-down

    I created a form that uses a lot of drop-down menus and trying to get the menu drop-down see the descriptions and have actually filled area with a number of coin instead of the description. I am not against XML encoding if necessary I am new to it but played around a little bit. Ideas or direction would be greatly appreciated thanks.

    Yes. To descriptions in the menu drop down and then specify values in the binding tab. In the event for the menu output drop-down put the code (in formcalc):

    If ($.rawValue == 1) then

    $.formattedValue = "109323" / / put all part number is here

    ElseIf ($.rawValue == 2) then

    $.formattedValue = "109324" / / etc

    endif

    the rawValue is the value of the option, the person has chosen in the menu and the formattedValue is what the box displays the exit event has run.

    Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

    Try turning off hardware acceleration.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

    If disable hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

  • "When I click on: Favorites" menu drop-down will remain visible. It flashes and the.

    When I click on 'Favorites' from the menu drop-down flashes momentarily and is therefore not visible. If I hover over the list, each bookmark flashes momentarily and then not be visible. The list is actually still there because when I go to where it should be, the hyperlink is displayed in the lower left corner of the window.

    In Firefox 4 and later Safe mode disables extensions and disables hardware acceleration.

    Try turning off hardware acceleration.

    I don't want any added or registered in the address bar. Many used to be saved only the URL I used it but now, each unique url (and url in a url) that I visit are added to it.

    I'm sure it's a simple parameter browser, but I checked and nothing gives an option to control this.

  • 660 x Schematic of the low resistance of the menu drop-down

    The 660 x data sheet mentions that the State of market has an entry (high Z) with low pull-down, but I can't find a diagram with this low resistance value of the menu drop down.

    I want to measure a clock signal on my DUT without loading or distort the signal, so I intend to use a buffer. I am concerned about the current required drive to overcome unrolling integrated resistors and the requirements of threshold as a result of my meter PXI-6608.

    If anyone has a link to the recommended buffers, levers of level or an article in the knowledge base with an example circuit, it would be much appreciated!
