Qosmio F30-140 - Windows7 cannot find the HDD - SATA storage

Hello

I've got Qosmio F30-140 and I tried to install Windows 7, but as usual windows 7 found no preparations.

So I hope to find a solution with someone.

Thank you very much.

Hello

The Qosmio F30 supports the RAID controller.
You must therefore RAID driver and not the driver SATA.

You can consult the page of the European driver Toshiba. There is a RAID driver for the Vista operating system.
You can try to use it under Win 7.

If this does not work you can disable RAID in BIOS.
I think you might find these settings on the 3rd page of the BIOS.

    Hello world...

How is - anyone help me?

    Thank you

    Hello

You can download it from the page of European driver of Toshiba.
Choose the Qosmio F20 and you will find the Qosmio Player 4.2.1WW

I think that it s an image that must be burned to the CD.
You can then use this drive in order to reinstall the Qosmio Player.

    Dear,

After I updated my BIOS of the laptop, when I start my laptop I find new start method, it is from USB Flash?  :| How I can use it and what type of file should be in it? I mean .iso or what?

    Thank you

    Hello

I n t have Qosmio F30 so that I can t test it for you, but I think it means options that you can boot from a USB stick for example. Did you check that?

You can boot from an iso file t because you have to create a bootable media. For example a Windows Start disc or a version of Linux that you can boot from a USB key.

  • Qosmio F30-140 - new damage to the battery?

I bought a new battery for my F30-140.

Unfortunately after a few days, the battery was broken. She seems to have the ability properly, but measure instruments presents, the battery has only 39% of original capacity. A discharge of battery 3% very fast and after that it work about 1.5 h with critical power level.

I don't know if it's just battery failure or my laptop.

    Hi Kojot89,

    > Battery very fast discharge of 3% and after that it work about 1.5 h with critical power level.
For me, it sounds like that the new battery properly works, but the battery will not be read correctly.
Can you please tell us which program shows the critical battery level? I mean Toshiba Power Saver or the Windows power management?

It is really hard to say why this is happening but in your case, I would check the drum part primes. Do you have another battery now or is it the same as that of the former?

I would try to update the BIOS of the alternative. Maybe this will help you

  • Satellite A100 - 02 M - cannot find the correct SATA driver

    Hello

I have an old laptop Toshiba Satellite running Vista Home Edition.
I would like to downgrade this machine to work with the XP operating system.

I have a real, but rather old, CD Windows XP Pro SP1. I also have XP Sp2 and SP3 downloads.
I searched the web and understand that I need to download the final medium of Storage Manager XP9 Intel (Matrix)

    Package from your webpage.at http://pc-support.toshiba-europe.com/drivers/.
I have visited this Web page and downloaded the XP drivers for the laptop.

However, I am unable to find (or determine) the subfolder Chipset appropriate to the F6flpy directory, I have
understanding would allow me to add a storage from a floppy driver.
To be honest, I'm not sure how to proceed here!

    Details of the laptop: Satellite A100 - 02 M
    Model No. : PSAANE-04U03EEN
    Serial No.: 64Q 372 464

Before I try to run the upgrade, I wanted to make sure that if everything goes wrong, I could go back to Vista.
Therefore, before you start, I tried to run the program of re - install. I pressed F8 during startup, as
educated and after entering username and password have reached the screen offering me options. I tried the "Restore to an earlier Date" option and that works well. However, when I try the "reinstall the OS", nothing happens.

I checked the HD that is partitioned with the C partition and also the hidden partition, size 1.5 G labeled 'Simple Basic', 'in good condition (EISA Configuration)'; the other partition is labeled NTFS. As far as I can remember, when I asked John Lewis, when I bought the PC, they said that there is no backup discs.

    You have any suggestions.

Thank you very much in advance for any help.

  • Qosmio F30-140: cannot install Windows operating system-> no. HDD

I bought the Qosmio F30-140 and I can't install Windows XP from my original cd: / recovery cd works fine but it installs a bunch of stuff I didn't need if I want a clean install...

so when I run my winXP cd Setup program I get the error message: "Setup did not find any hard drives installed in your computer..."

Although I can run windows normally which is installed from the CD of restoration... I think it's something with the hard disk drivers.

How can I overcome this? Thanks in advance :)

    Hello Sarunas

There s nothing wrong! Nothing with HARD drive or other hardware!
You have just installed the RAID driver
The Toshiba Recovery CD contains the RAID driver and so you can install it without any problem.
But the Windows CD contains no such driver and therefore the RAID driver must be installed at the beginning of the configuration of Windows installation procedure.

Windows will ask you 3 RAID driver. The RAID driver, you can find on the page of the Toshiba driver. Download it on the floppy drive and connect the external USB FDD drive.
From there, you will be able to install the RAID driver.

    Good luck..

  • Question about the Qosmio F30-140 system memory

I have a Qosmio F30-140 NB (to 667 MHz front side bus) and it has 1024 MB (533 MHz) DDR2 memory.
If I want to increase the size of the memory, can I use DDR2 667 MHz for my NB type? and if this is true can I remove the type of DDR2 533 MHz or we as well as usef type of 667 MHz (no conflict).
    Please notify.

    THX

    Hello

Surely, you can mix the modules. It will work because the 667 Mhz Module itself slower clock down to the FSB of the module installed in the system. So if you install another module of 667 Mhz, the frontsidebus must run at 667 Mhz Mhz and not at 533 Mhz. (I guess)

But you can mix, which will not fail.

    Welcome them

Hello to all users of the Forum and to whom, who prefer Toshiba to a daily activity of s.

I am owner of laptop Qosmio F30-140 for 7 months. I can say that I m happy with my laptop. But about 2 weeks back, I had some problems, which I can't resolve up to our days.

I use Windows Defender to protect my PC from alert elements, applications of which I erased by this program once. There after I ve discovered that s keyboard buttons in the library and the remote responds does not and does not control panel. I had tests to recover by Qosmio player recovery CD, but unfortunately all attempts have failed.

Please help me solve this problem, because I am deprived of my remote control, in which I so need.

As for you and best regards.
    Dr.VugarVali

    Hello

Looks like you have just messed the whole OS.
Use and relocation of the recovery CD Qosmio Player will not allow Toshiba cotroll buttons and remote control.

In you case reinstalling the driver would be desirable; Start with Manager common Module, controls, remote control.

If it does not help the use of CD recovery Toshiba does wonders! ;)

But note; Don t forget to back up your data because the recovery CD formats the HARD drive!

HL-DT-ST BDDVDRW GGC - H20N ATA cannot find the driver for windows7

    [Moved from comments]

    Hi Philippe,.

    1. What is the brand and model of your computer?

    2. How do you try to install the drivers?

    3. you receive messages or error codes?
    4. have you made a recent software or hardware changes to the system?

You must contact the manufacturer of the computer and check the /firmware updates driver available for the device for Windows 7.

If it is not available for Windows 7, you can try to install the Windows version of the drivers in compatibility mode and check if it helps.

For more information, see the article:

Make older programs in this version of Windows

    Update drivers: recommended links

You can also try to perform Windows updates and check if the optional driver updates are available for the same.

    Hello

    > How can I activate the laptop to boot from usb memory flash with source of windows 7
    I think that's not the MAN of functions;
I m not 100% sure, but I think that this BIOS does not support booting from SD card reader.
But why you don t try to boot from the CD/DVD drive?

If I understand your question, the external LCD is recognized correctly.
Go into the BIOS and set the external monitor as the primary monitor.
Then, you should be able to see everything.

  • Card of Qosmio F30-140 is scalable?

The Qosmio F30-140 comes with a Nvidia GeForce Go 7600 equipped factory.

    Hi mate,

Unfortunately, the VGA chip cannot be replaced since it s "wired" on the motherboard, which means that the GPU is soldered on the motherboard.
If you want to replace it you will have a soldering station, which costs probably above 13,000 bucks and a team that knows in soldering BGA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ball_grid_array) and maybe you have plans of engineering for the motherboard and and it wouldn't hurt to have at least two programmers for the creation of a new BIOS, which implies that you have some connections to Toshiba Japan because the BIOS is not a FRIEND, it s one or Phoenix BIOS toshiba which has its own characteristics and I Don t know a soul who managed to enter the structure of such a Toshiba BIOS.

I hope I was able to clear your mind. :)

    Hi all

Is it one program other than Windows media center that you can watch TV on and work for Qosmio F30-140?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

There are many programs where you can watch TV. You only have to use Google to find, and I think you can do it yourself. ;)

You have already written that you can use the function, software of Toshiba which must be sent with Notepad in Windows media center and I use DVB viewer (http://www.dvbviewer.com).
Check this tool! It s freeware and easy to use.

  • Qosmio F30-140 does support 64-bit Windows operating systems

    Hello

Qosmio F30-140 does support windows XP/Vista 64 - bit operating systems, and if so, where can I find 64-bit drivers?
    THX

Qosmio F30 supports the 64 bit OS. This means that you can install it, but the problem is that you will not find Original Toshiba 64-bit drivers or tools because the 64-bit operating systems are not supported by Toshiba at this time.
