Query string of the URL - easy!

It should be an easy question, but I'm deleting. I try to get the URL query string used to access my application. The Application object has a url, but it does not contain the query string. It must be stored somewhere as a URLVariables were opposed, but where? I searched the docs for URLVariables, but developers guide only talks about how configure them on a URL, not how to get from the current URL.

    Hi all

    Let's say I have an application that has logout URL as http://abc.com/app.cgi?function=logout&user=LOGGED_USER.
    In this case, logged in user will always be different, but you want the user to sign out when this URL is hit. In this scenario, you can use query string variables and specify the function = disconnect it.

    In other scenarios where you know all the query parameters and you want to protect these URLs then the query string can be used.

    To display the url variables, you bookmark a page that has them, and then call the bookmark or click on a link that includes a query string in the url.

  • Change the URL of the files in the storage of files

    Is it possible to change the URL of the hyperlink for the files in the storage of files on an email? I wish I could change the subdomain / microsite used for the URL as well as add query strings to the URL.

    Hi Andy,.

    I don't think that it is possible to change the URL. I know that you can rename the file or download another, but what is it. Work around a potential would be to host the files elsewhere on the Eloqua link it.

    PHP can handle # in a string without problems. The error that you are
    manufacturing must pass # by a query string. In a URL, # indicates a
    element named inside the page. To use # as a character who is preserved
    as a literal value, you need to urlencode. You can either do
    with the urlencoded function. It is probably easier to use the
    URL directly: %23 represents #.

  • Dissect of Eloqua own AdWords Landing Page and URL with query string parameters, please!

    I presume that for AdWords landing pages are one of the most common types in use. I'm at a new company and try to create an approach that uses the latest methods. HAFS is gradually, and a large part of the information contained in the Topliners is old (2011) as these popular posts

    What is the best way to track Google adwords through Sales Force?
    How to capture Sources referring to forms and Landing Pages using query strings

    and the references using javascript to analyze the parameters in the screens that is 2009 and is not exactly what Eloqua uses today.

    I started to look at what Eloqua uses in its own marketing efforts and saw the potentially useful parts and parts that are confusing. I thought it would be useful if someone could dissect the code of the landing page and explain how each part of the code is. I'm OK with short descriptions and references to other articles or messages to explain the different parts that have not changed.

    Here's a page url to use. I added 'x' before each additional parameter then click top ruin the campaign stats.

    http://demand.Eloqua.com/LP=3461?elqoffer=xGartnerMQ & GoogleCampaign = xEloqua & SLS = xPPC_Google_Eloqua_2012 & gclid = xCKGFzcHyh7YCFQThQgod7lMAyg

    Here are some specific questions that I hope can be answered:

    • What you rely on Google to deliver you in their reports vs. what you capture discrete parameters: elqoffer, GoogleCampaign and sls
    • You use the gclid itself? How?
    • Is there a new better method for parsing of URLS and using hidden fields settings?
    • How do you use Eloqua cookies at the same time to send the form of Adwords?
    • You dynamically change the landing page?

    Thank you!

    Hi Mike,.

    I'm on the Ops of Eloqua Marketing team and can shed light on some of your questions.  I hope this helps!

    • What you rely on Google to deliver you in their reports vs. what you capture discrete parameters: elqoffer, GoogleCampaign and sls

    • elqoffer - we use elqoffer to indicate that the offer is valid for adword.  The value we deliver is used for many things.  Of course, we use it for reporting purposes, but we also set up our steps to use this value in a hidden field to redirect to the appropriate page supply once the form and also send the appropriate autoresponder of form processing.  We set up a dropdown list (aka select list) cards offer URL values (for the page of the offer) and another list of choices cards offer values to email ID (for the answering machine).
    • elqchannel - we also usually include a query string for the elqchannel who tells us the General source of the Contact (e.g. Google, Bing, etc.).
    • SLS - is essentially the Source of lead (sls = source of specific lead).  We use it to fill a hidden fields that reach "lead Source - Original" and 'Lead Source - the most recent'.  For us, the source of the specific lead is a very granular (and non-General, such as 'research') but includes a lot of information based on a strict naming convention.
    • That's what we use Eloqua to adwords, but we also use an SEO company to help us optimize our search spend.  To do this, they provide their own tracking code we put on the landing page initial as well as the page of the offer (ie. confirmation page).  To get the code on our LP, we use the cloud "Static content" component that allows you to place any custom code you want in the body of the HTML code.  Unfortunately, I don't have details on what exactly is captured with this code, or how it is used.
  • You use the gclid itself? How?
    • I don't know the answer to this one.  It's someone else on our team that works closely with an SEO company, so I think they know.
  • Is there a new better method for parsing of URLS and using hidden fields settings?
    • YES!  You may have noticed, we have some Javascript on our landing page that does a few things.  First of all, he did a Web data search in Eloqua to see if you are a known visitor and if so, we can pre-fill the form with information we already know the visitor.  The other thing is the JS is populate our hidden fields with the values of query string.  We started to do this before I had a cloud component that eliminates the need for JS custom.  You can use Form Population App to do all that for you.
  • How do you use Eloqua cookies at the same time to send the form of Adwords?
    • I'm not 100% sure I know what you're asking here, but my answer to the previous question can also respond to this one.  Data search Web first checks the Eloqua cookie to retrieve your email address, and then it uses this email address to search for your Contact field values and pre-fill the form.
  • You dynamically change the landing page?
    • We're not changing dynamically the landing page.  Usually, a visitor to click through to an Eloqua email or visit a page PURL.  Dynamically present the offer page based on the value of the query string for "elqoffer."  Looking for an application Cloud released in the coming days that will allow you to place the dynamic content on this initial landing page based on your cookie.
  • The way we structure our campaigns is based on the balance between reporting requirements while maintaining their operational efficiency.  For example, we do want to create a new campaign for each offer that we have.  That would quickly overwhelm our team.  For 2013, we have created 3 campaigns:

    1 research

    2. 3rd party Emails

    3 display ads

    Each of these campaigns have only 1 formula on it (one for research, one for email and display ads).  Each offer has its own landing page (see screenshot below).  The campaign of the report combined with the data of the form layout give us the requirements we need to understand what is working and what is not.

    TIP: If you have custom data objects, you can also consider creating one that seizes all shipments form for each of your forms in 1 place.  This way, you need only 1 set of data instead of individual export for each form of export.

    Example of a search campaign:

  • How to get the query of the region "PL/SQL function body returns the query string"?

    Hello

    is it possible to get the query string from the region of type "PL/SQL function body returns the query string"?

    I can get the definition of the region as a PL/SQL procedure, but I am interested in the returned query. I tried to write something like

    < pre > v_return_query: = «...» » ;
    : P49_QUERY: = v_return_query;
    Return v_return_query; < / pre >

    to save the return on hidden item P49_QUERY string, but it does not work. I get the error message: ERR-1002 cannot find the item for the "P49_QUERY" element ID in the application '4000 '.

    Kind regards

    If you need to make reference to a page element in the block then you can use this type of control to avoid having to use generic column names:

    if apex_application.get_current_flow_sgid(:APP_ID) = apex_application.get_sgid then-- runtime  :P9_SQL := vSQL;else-- design time  null;end if;

    But if all you want to do is capture the SQL debugging you can take all the references element in the block and use the insert statement (in a debug table) as I showed earlier.

  • Add the merge fields in the url

    We would like to dynamically add the id to contact SFDC email recipient (which is an existing merge Eloqua field) in the query string of a url in an e-mail message to follow the results of the survey through zoomerang. (for example www.zoomerang.com/survey/aa3w4roafadfos?contactid=#sfdccontactid# where sfdccontactid is the merged field.

    If anyone has experience doing this, please tell us where we try to send this email shortly.

    Thank you

    Hi Joel,

    Merger of field, you can generate the HTML code required for the merger of field uttering one in your email and then merge in the email your work with.  Discover the grab HTML HTML field merging and post it in your URL.  Commonly, the syntax would be 'SFDC_ContactID1' or something of the sort (this is depends on the merge field name). In your particular case, the finished HTML code would look like, "SFDC_ContactID1">."

  • dealing with the URL/URI field encodings

    I'm the pages of a Japanese website and then download by saving to files. Sometimes after a request, a page without relevant content is returned. My guess is that the requested URL is not coded correctly.
    Sometimes, the requested page is returned without any problem. According to the api URL:
    "... The URL class does not itself encode or decode URL components according to the exhaust system defined in RFC2396. It is the responsibility of the caller to encode all of the fields, which need to be escaped before call to URL and also to decode all the fields escaped, who returned from URL. ..."
    I tried to follow these guidelines:
    -----
    String asianChar = _; <-a Chinese character
    String s = "http://www.acme.co.jp/dsearch?p=" + asianChar + "& stype = 0 & dtype = 0";
    UriRef URI = new Uri;
    URL urlRef = uriRef.toURL ();
    HttpURLConnection conn = () (HttpURLConnection) url.openConnection;

    SFD CharsetDecoder = Charset.forName("UTF-8").newDecoder ();
    List < String > pagedump = new ArrayList < String > ();
    BufferedReader bufrdr = new BufferedReader (new InputStreamReader (conn.getInputStream (), SFD));
    While (true) {}
    String line = bufrdr.readLine ();
    if(Line == null) break;
    pagedump. Add (Line);
    }
    ...
    dump 'pagedump' to the txt file encoding "UTF - 8", opened with "notepad.exe", sometimes the requested content is there, sometimes not.
    -----
    These contradictory results have stuck to me.

    Running this program within Eclipse still seem to work. But this cannot be the solution. I have to run this a typo: "C:\HOME\java-jar program.jar".

    because the bad character is in the query string, a fake url probably will not cause a 404 error. What do you think is impossible allows to encode that character before inserting it into the url string.

  • Query strings?

    Hey,.

    I'm relatively new to html and web design, but I wonder: why Muse add query strings on each url of the static resource? There must be a reason I don't understand, but remove them all manually works, so my question.

    THX in advance for the answers.

    Alucryd

    The query string is added as a kind of version number for the resource. This is used so that when a resource is updated, your users will immediately get the latest versions of it instead of what is in the cache on their local machine. It's a way to ensure that your users see the latest version of what you have created rather than see older versions, they studied recently. If you want to learn more, I recommend browsing the web and reading about case-cache.

  • passing parameters to the url to the recordset of the mysql

    First of all, please accept my apologies to probably do not describe the problem I have enough. I am relatively new to php and mysql.

    I have a php page that lists the results of my recordset from a manufacturer. Each recordset has an id of 'doing' and a label name.

    Another page to view all the products of a manufacturer name by passing the brand id to this links page of the label (using binding settings, brand name, the value is the full id of the saved).  On my second page recordset displays all the products.  Also on this page the category links (from a different set of records) that allows the user to filter records based on the category (the tables are related in the mysql database).

    The third page filters the results by taking the brand and the category id and displays the results. So far so good, all that work.

    My problem is that when the recordset in a particular category of a particular manufacturer with no record, the entire id mark drops.

    It's frustrating.

    It's on a new Web site, I am developing and design etc. is far from over.  Pages can be found on www.lcgcpartfinder.co.uk/new_parts.php

    If you click on the link of shimadzu and then filter by category, the last category MCG, shows the problem I have when select you a different category.

    Any help or advice as to how I can overcome this problem.

    Concerning

    Right. Then your loop for categories do, you are populating the query string with the "doing" of all results of games. If this result set is foul, there is no value to use in the query string. Use instead the 'do' value as the local variable or the Recordset 'make ':

    &category= href=" "="">

  • You can control a URL in eloqua to add to the query string?

    If I insert a URL in an email, I can't stop eloqua to add additional query string parameters in eloqua.

    I want to make this happen because the URL doesn't seem to work if we add an extra parameter using the query string.

    I had a similar problem recently, and even turn off the tracking doesn't seem to help.  I finally decided to use a shortened URL (bit.ly) and it worked for me.

  • How can I get the url query string data to a site created with the Muse? It is not module_url works in Muse.

    In my Muse created site (i.e. musesite.com), the url to the site link will be something like, www.musesite.com/homepage.html?userid=123 and I want to capture the value of username. There is documentation on the use of module_url, but documentation is vague and it's not really show in use in the Muse Awards Business Catalyst. Is there an easy way to retrieve the values of url string that does not script require extensive coding?

    Muse is strictly HTML and CSS and a little Javascript. To use URL parameters as you learn on would need a kind side Server advanced such as PHP which is out of the reach of Muse. Essentially of Muse is not the right tool, you use to achieve this.

    This works for you in Joomla because as Wordpress and they are written in PHP.
