Question: How do I uninstall Windows XP Professional in an old laptop and do a fresh install on another computer? __
Background: I have a legitimate copy of Windows XP Professional (license) currently installed on two computers, a desktop computer and a laptop. I want to uninstall Windows XP from the laptop and use my privilege to a right to install this OS on a second computer. How do I uninstall and install on a second computer, download the new Microsoft/computer to recognize that I have a copy only installed on 2 machines?
It's interesting. As far as I know, you can only install system builder OEM licenses on a single machine, not two. You must have a volume for more than one license key and I think that minimum volume licenses is 5. But of course the right people to ask are people of Microsoft licenses.

You should probably check with them to see what license you really. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

How can I uninstall Windows 7 altogether?
Get really hacked off the coast with things not working not not in Windows 7 and would REALLY like to get rid and install XP instead. Anyone know how?
If you really want to replace Windows 7 with Windows XP (which, IMO, is not a good idea), there is no need to uninstall Windows 7. Just do a clean install of Windows XP.
Exactly, what appears on the face of your drive "XP"?
The disc has a hologram and look like this--> http://vistaproblems.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/Formatting-CD1.jpg
Or they have a printed label and look like this--> http://bootfromcd.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/Windows-XP-recovery-disk-CD-drive1.png
XP is already installed on this computer (that is, do you know if XP drivers are available for the hardware)? If so, have you already collected and copied on a CD all these drivers?
If you have a genuine Windows XP installation CD (first link above), see the following:
http://www.theeldergeek.com/xp_pro_install_-_graphic.htm
http://michaelstevenstech.com/cleanxpinstall.htmlAfter a clean install of Windows XP, you must immediately install all necessary drivers, service Pack3 (you may need to install a service pack earlier, depending on which service pack, if any, is embedded in your installation CD), all updates critical post-sp3 and one antivirus application. I would like to uninstall window vista home basic 32 bit on my right turn to install the new window and that already.i want to uninstall the vista of old window on my laptop.and I try many times impossible to uninstall vista.please help me.Please, help advice.thank.
You cannot uninstall a running operating system. The best you can do is wipe the hard drive and start over, but which will also remove all programs and documents.

How do I remove Windows 7 so I can legally install on another computer?

If yours is a copy retail, you don't and I don't need to.
But if yours is an OEM copy (for example if it came pre-installed on)
your computer, you can not install it on another computer. Your OEM
license restricted for the first computer, on which it is installed and it
can never be legally moved to another.

Original title: installation of Windows 8.
If you bought a laptop and you want to install Windows 8 Professional, can install you it directly or you must have a base like Windows 7 Stater license?
Hello
The only FULL of Windows 8 Pro version would be the OEM System Builder... everything else is an upgrade...
Unlike Win 7 and earlier versions, Microsoft is not offering one COMPLETE Win 8 other than OEM package...
The difference is that the OEM version has no support from Microsoft... If you have a problem, you are on your own... Just enjoy the Forums and for any issues that arise...
Providing that there are drivers available for your laptop to win 8, it should work...

Hello
In addition to the advice given by Jose Antonio Ponton Posada CEO, you can also have a look at the response of Shenan Stanley on 20 October 2012 in this thread.
As Tommy mentioned, you can download and it save on the same computer. You can also download the Service Pack on a different computer and transfer to install it on the requested computer.
Do not respond if you have any other questions. Thank you.

Activate a GENUINE windows XP installed on another computer
Hello
My father has recently upgraded to a laptop with Windows 7, but misses his old games which are not compatible. I have rebuilt successfully his old vista laptop on Windows XP (better compatibility) but it requires activation and the code I have does not work.
It has the Windows XP as it came with a laptop even earlier, but I think that automation can detect, it has been used on the computer as soon as possible.
Any of you know how I do it to get Microsoft to recognize that it is is no longer using the old laptop and wants to instead use Windows XP on this newer model?
He holds the license for the software as surely he has the right to install (only) on any machine as he wants?
The laptop that I installed XP is a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo LI 1718.
The version of Windows XP, there is no service pack (it is so old!) but I have installed all updates until and including SP3.If you need any other information to answer let me know, I can provide a report dxdiag etc.
Thanks to all who can help out me!
If Windows XP product key is an OEM version, then it will activate not on another computer.
