Question of blackBerry Smartphones for SIM Unlock

Hey guys,.

About 2 years ago I bought a BB Bold 9600 Bell. As I moved away from Canada to Europe that I unlocked the SIM to be able to have BB-services in Europe as well. I'm now back to the Canada. I'll always be able to get a subscription with Bell? I mean, the work of 3G services, and I risk of legal issues by returning to a Bell store saying that I unlocked it in the first place?

Thanks for any response...

Bell is good with it. I got mine unlocked as well. They don't care.

    Hello

One word: HELP! This is so the case... a friend gave me a Blackberry Curve 9300 to use (cause it not to use) cause my old phone went kaput. in any case, I turned it on and I see a written screen KOODOO mobile (a telephone to the Canada company) and then immediately a screen saying "DEVICE is locked". When I choose to open it says "Enter password" and I can't get past this screen for something else. My friend doesn't remember the password. He had introduced FIDO sim card so I'm thinking that the phone is unlocked... I have a FIDO sim card also. Can someone help me understand this? What I have to go to the KOODOO store and ask them to unlock or to anyone who makes the unlocking the phones? Or can someone here help me? Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

BBs are very secure - only the password created by the user can unlock the BB. There is no password 'master' or 'ignore' to do so... only the password created by the user can do.

But, you can maybe in luck still... refer:

    • KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone

No not the password the maximum time will initiate a WIPE on the device, which is part of these important instructions. But other measures in these instructions are also important to... by the seller and the buyer. Not well fill ALL risks instructions making the BB not fully usable by the buyer (you).

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not unlock 8330 curve

I use a security code on my BB Curve 8330.  I tried to synchronize media files today through the desktop (win XP) USB interface and has been invited to enter a password.  I used my security code and password account BB, neither worked.  I unplugged the USB cable and now cannot unlock the device by using the keyboard.  Twice I have re-set the device (battery removed), and we invited to enter the word "blackberry" I did.  When you are prompted to unlock the device, I try to enter my code, but instead of the usual displays of * (standard characters when you type a password), I see on the screen the characters I entered.  I use a 4-digit number for my unlock code, but when I get in I see the corresponding value of QWERTY (eg.  type '2' see 'e' on the screen)

Now I have 9 of 10 attempts and don't want to lose my data.  How can I get this think unblocked?

    1. While you still can, on your BlackBerry smartphone, change the password to something very simple, alpha characters only, not numbers, without capital letters. To do this before you lose all your data. Enter the incorrect password ten times will wipe your device of all data, contacts, calendar, etc.

    2. you probably think that you have a number or a capital letter in your password, and you don't really have.

for example, if you think your password is "w3rs", try alpha correspondent character and the PW would be "wers".

You never noticed the error, because the entry hidden on the password.

    Good luck.

  • Question of blackBerry Smartphones

It's quite possible. Check the below knowledge base article.

Connect a computer to the Internet via an EDGE GPRS or UMTS BlackBerry smartphone as a captive mod...

But before you start using it as a modem attached, you must know how operator will charge you for the use of the data. There are carriers that do not allow or you may need to have separate internet data plan.

  • Question of blackBerry Smartphones Sprint 8830 World Edition SIM and possible causes

I recently bought a Sprint 8830 World Edition as a phone good trip/backup. The device is unlocked, as check by going to Options > Advanced Options > SIM card and then type MEPD. All that it shows people with reduced mobility.

    Here's my problem:

While in the United States just to test, I inserted a T-mobile SIM card and 8830 research for a GSM network, and after some time, shows "no service". I also tried an AT & T SIM card and 8830 is still searching once and after some time shows 'no service '. I get this because I am in the United States? Is this an indication I'm having a problem in another country, using a local SIM card?

    News of the Bill:

When the 8830 is out, way back when, I found a comment from someone who says

"This (8830) is unlocked for GSM networks and probably only GSM networks that are not in the same region as Sprint networks (roaming on AT & T and T-Mobile in the United States is probably also out of the question).

Yes and of course while out of the country, need you the SIM card by the local carrier and a data Plan of BlackBerry by the carrier, if you plan to use data, email, etc.

  • BlackBerry smartphones, for that I need a few RIM experts answer this question.

This isn't really a problem of java development, but I'm not expert on the general forum. I arrived there just the other day and a guy was ranting and raving on this is terrible, the storm is compared to the iPhone.

I have pointed out errors in his way and man, there is a lot of emotion there and a lot of very bored customers.

I think that I calmed down most of them, but I think more about the inner workings than most, they all ask the same questions.

The questions are basically, there are 2 main questions.

    1. the phone resets several times a day on its own. No rhyme or reason to it. I have heard of a mission that removing the SIM card algtogether might fix this sometimes. Is there a way to reset your SIM card to the factory settings?

    2. the second problem is more difficult to classify. There might be several problems, but I suspect that there is a big underlying problem. It's that everything is working properly. Things like him taking 2 minutes to take a photo or for the phone record horizontal to vertical. This kind of thing.

If an expert he can suggest a solution or if there is a known problem that occurs and there is a difficulty, I can relay this back to them.

One possibility is to clean the memory and restore factory. Is it possible to do so. I know that javaloader ordered a memory wipe. However, I do not know if the State of entire plant is available in EDGE tools that we installed all.

    Or post you here...

We have several storms and they all have the following symptoms:

After running for about 4 days, the system significantly slows down. You see demonstrations continuous hourglass, which means that the G.C. is overtime. A hard reset Erases (battery pull) the problem for another 4 days.

Sometimes, the phone becomes hot all of a sudden and burn the battery in about 30 minutes. If it's in your pocket, it is immediately noticeable and you pull the battery to clear up the issue. However, if the phone is, you won't notice. Several times, I put the phone down, then took a phone completely dead (and hot) an hour later. After charging the battery, you must reset the date and restore network connections, while he was REALLY DEAD.

Now, we have repeatedly stopped all 3rd party programs and the problem is not clear up. We keep waiting for this next OS update that solves problems.

  • Response of blackBerry Smartphones for reboot problem and issue of SIM card.

For anyone who is annoyed with the restart of the storm when Mater or shaken slightly, I just put two pieces of flat wide elastic medium, (you get off broccoli or other vegetables), between the top and the bottom of the battery.    The door already has a buffer for battery sponge, but it is not enough.   Zero unwanted restarts now.

Question: I have a blackberry Canada 2 on 1XEV/3GS telus storm.     There is a SIM card in the box, but I didn't.

I know it is for identity purposes and as long as I'm not 'global' I didn't need.

It is wise to put in it,... .in case I cross the border or need to contact management more?

Don't know if I should put it the phone is used to it when I need it or not.

I would put it.  You will need to get any GSM roaming service.  Really nothing not to reach.

  • Help blackBerry Smartphones for setting up email for BlackBerry Bold 9700

I have a BB Bold 9700. The phone is wiped and I unlocked it. I want to use it in Europe with a prepaid SIM, including internet and email. When you try to configure e-mail the phone does not allow me to uncheck an e-mail account to work with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server. It is the only option given, so I can't go forward. What should do? Any help is appreciated

    Hello

All the services are controlled and delivered by the mobile service provider. If they tell you that they do not support the BBs through SIM prepaid plans, then it is what it is.

Each company control services they support with different service plans they offer. Some allow the BBs on prepaid plans. It is up to each company to choose what they will provide.

Email on a BB is not only function of any kind of BlackBerry® App, rather, it's a service that requires the use of servers and others, hosted by carriers and the BlackBerry that allows to send to work on the BB. These servers are for BB users only and therefore require subscription to a data plan that allows access to these servers... What that be cost factors a company decides (each of them choose themselves).

So, in the end... If that carrier tells you that pre-paid plans do not for access to the exclusive services BB and you must have a contract plan of them to allow this access, which is an authoritative answer, since it is the only source that can know this answer. You might get an answer different from another carrier, since each of them defined their own plans/rates/services.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Priv Sim Card drawer

Does anyone know where to find a replacement for the PRIV sim card support?

I checked eBay and oter sites but none seem to have these - ideas?

Can I get them directly from Blackberry as a spare part.

You could try calling the number private Support for the United Kingdom 0800 141 3330 and see if they can help. They usually don't sell all the pieces, however, so I'm not sure what they will be able to do it for you. Does not hurt to try, if.

  • Question of blackBerry Smartphones very clumsy BIS

Hello. I post here because, in my opinion, is the last thing that I have left to do.

Not sure if there is no news of this but I'll try to keep it this way.

Since this afternoon BIS is not register my phone more. It says 'edge' insead 'EDGE '. My BIS data plan has been activated like 2 days ago and it has worked very well so far.

I called my local operator to support that they sent me the books of service as two times and obviously I did the basics before testing it (take-off at the battery). Nothing happened. Called the 3rd time, they told me that it has nothing to with them more cause it's all they can do.

The clumsy real thing is that, now that I connect to my personal WIFI bberry email, bbm, whatsapp messenger for yahoo, navigation, absolutely everything, works AS IT SHOULD work on BIS. The second that I disconnect my wifi, there no internet more on it. No more BBM, no more nothing.

I even tried a wipe. That has not worked either.

To be honest, it's kind of my last hope before throwing the 10th floor, because it is * bleep * me off.

THE: After wipe 'the trick' with the connection to my wifi no longer works since all the service books have disappeared. Try saving again does not either, as I said.

Anyway, I can't spend SIMs because that would mean to pay an another data plan on a different SIM card. Maybe I will if I have no other options left, but for now I don't want to.

The suggestion is actually replace the SIM... sometimes they spoil. A replacement should not cost anything, I think.

    DanMoody wrote:

My camera has been unlocked 2-3 days ago btw, because it was locked on Vodafone Spain, but as I said it worked great.

Oh... more details are needed. Which carrier your BB was initially assigned? And what carrier are you trying now to operate it on? And what SIM carrier do you use? And which carrier BIS account is active?

These details could be very important indeed. For example, if your BB from Spain, and now you're trying to use it in Romania, you might have for this short period, received service your account of the Spain BIS, but they finally "caught it" and blocked it (Spain or the Romania could have done). So the exact details of your situation is perhaps well critical... using a BB on a different network can be difficult indeed, and some very specific things need to be done in order to make it work well. For example, if your BIS account remains active in Spain, then the carrier of the Romania will not be able to create a BIS account... single BB PIN can exist anywhere in the world in system BIS only carrier...

  • BlackBerry Smartphones broken sim card holder tray

I broke the metal contacts in my drawer of SIM 9810 torch. can I send him a salary for a replacement of RIM? How to contact the repair service?

    Please notify

    Thank you

RIM (now called BlackBerry) does not repair the units. You can take it to T-Mobile, which would then send for repair, or you can ask a repair on your own shop. If there is a way for a quote before any work, get. There may be cheaper to buy another torch flea market online.

    See you soon.
