Quick Launch bar, explore and Show Desktop bunching

Hi guys...

I follow the methods to create a button show desktop on my Quick Launch bar (I don't like it to be on the far right), but when I drag the button from my office to the bar, in this case:

http://oi46.Tinypic.com/1t8y7s.jpg

This is the group with the Windows Explorer button and even if I delete Windows Explorer and drag Show Desktop on again, it creates just the Windows Explorer a new. I want all of them in my Quick Launch bar but cannot find any solution that nowhere that nobody else seems to have this problem! I have also "never combine" isn't that the value for the buttons on the taskbar.

Thanks for any help.

Instead, you may want to consider to drag the task
bar on the left side of the screen. This will put the Show Desktop
icon in the lower left corner of the screen.

In fact, with screen monitors wide today, I'd rather have the task
bar on the left side of the screen. I think it makes better use of
screen real estate that having it at the bottom.

    Hi MissLizz,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft Communities. Follow these steps and check:

    (a) open Windows Explorer by clicking on the 'my computer' icon in the menu 'Start'. If you want to add a folder to the Quick Launch bar, navigate to the folder.

    (b) double click C: local drive to open it. Double-click the "programs" folder

    (c) double-click the folder that contains the program you want to add. Click and drag the program to the Quick Launch bar. To add a folder, click and drag the folder instead.

  • Cannot add Internet Explorer to the Quick Launch bar

I've been using Vista since August 2007 and have had no problems. This morning I noticed that the Internet Explorer icon that is normally placed on my Quick Launch bar is missing, but it's in the Start Menu

I tried to drag and drop on the Start Menu, but I get the 'Ain t going to happen sign' (the circle with the bar slash through it) when I drag it to the Quick Launch bar.

I looked at these recent updates and found one Jan. 20 for Microsoft Silverlight and one a Jan 22 for Microsoft Essentials.

I tried to restore to an earlier date, but that doesn't change anything.

  • Size of the icons in the Quick Launch bar

The icons in the Quick Launch bar are usually about half the size of the icons on the desktop. Mine are now the same size, which is awfully big for the Quick Launch bar. Having the taskbar at the bottom of my screen, it takes at least two lines to display the icons.

What I found the same icons are used, but it seems that there must be a way to set the size of the icons shown.

How can I resize them to their normal size? So far, I found nothing on this topic, any ideas here?

First of all, it must unlock the taskbar, if it is locked. Now on the first line in front of the icons, right-click when the arrow on the side shows. At the sight of quality performances. Switch to the kid. If it is already on small, for some reason any. Put it in wide and apply, then back to small to see if it returns it. [_1337_Pete_]

  • How to control the order of the icons in the Quick Launch bar on taskbar of office?

When I toggle display Quick launch in the desktop taskbar and Start Menu properties, the order of the icons changes.

Is that what I can do to keep the order of the icons when I cant see the Quick Launch bar?

You could try the button "Rebuild icons" inside TweakUI (part of the Microsoft Power Toys for Windows XP pack).

  • Error "failed to create quick launch bar.

My Quick Launch bar disappeared.  I tried the procedure published by Microsoft in the registry and it still does not work.  I even uninstalled Windows 8 to return to Windows 7 and did not help.  Nothing seems to work.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Guessing 'Windows 8 come back back to Windows 7' should be 'Internet Explorer 8 to return to Internet Explorer 7 "?

Create a folder named "Quick launch" at the following location:

    "C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\.

So the WHOLE PATH would be:

    "C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\"

    Restart after you do this.

I've just updated to 31.7, unfortunately.

I've always had a you Bird icon on the far left of my Quick Launch bar. Now it creates a whole new icon and it puts far to the right.

I kept clicking on my icon on the far left because I thought that it was not run. See attachment.

Is it possible to cancel this last installation?

If that's true I would still be using BACK 1.0 and path of iron-programming BACK-Basic and assembler.
But really more updates of the victory program tends to put a lot of importance to their program and their shortcuts at the top of the list on office etc.
Using method of installation and cleaning each time makes it less vulnerable, if expenses install, new icons, new program files, new values init or a simple update.

Ugh! Registry cleaning programs are all snake oil. Cleaning of the
registration is not necessary and is dangerous. Let alone register and
do not use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and
What software record cleaning suppliers are trying to convince you,
have unused registry entries is not really make you hurt.
The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner by mistake
delete an entry you need is much greater than any potential benefit
    It can have.

Let me stress that neither me nor anyone else who warns the
use of registry cleaners never said that they always cause
problems. If they have always caused problems, they would disappear from
the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry
cleaner and never had a problem with it.

The problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it
the risk of a significant problem. And since there is no
benefits of using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad
    good deal.

  • Double row of small icons in the Quick Launch bar?

    Hi people,

I have my Quick Launch bar set upwards with small icons (my normal taskbar has large icons).  Is it possible to do the small icons to organize in two superimposed rows?  Looks that they would take almost this way.

    Thank you!

Go to the taskbar and Start Menu properties and select use small icons.

This is an acceptable compromise for what we are looking for, but never mind, you can not the taskbar is wide enough for two rows of small icons while keeping the nice looking for large icons.
