Quick way to create a PDF of a folio?

I completed an iPad app rather rich in contents of DPS for a customer. They also want an interactive PDF version to place on their site.

Is there a quick process for conversion, or manually do I PDF each page of each section of the folio?

Thank you

You can simply save your InDesign documents to PDF source by using the file menu, but do not forget that your interactivity will not carry to the PDF document.

  • Quick way to create a gradient of selected fill color?

    I create gradients all the time and I wonder if there is a quick way to create a gradient based on the fill color of the currently selected object. For example: I chose an area with a BLUE fill color. I'm going in the gradient panel and see that what the gradient will be if I click on it (which is usually based on a default gradient WHITE to BLACK, or it comes from the most recent gradiented object, I've touched). So I click on it and the gradient is enabled with the stops not being is not BLUE. What I want is... If I select a box with a BLUE fill and click on gradient - it will create a gradient with the two cases being the same BLUE as the fill color. It would be very convenient because instead of clicking on each stop, shift-eyedropping the blue color in an area of duplicated, it would begin immediately with the gradient of blue-blue for me to adjust (in the case below for a button I'd the superior light and lower darker stop).

    It is rather useful to select an object with a gradient to 'copy' this gradient, select a new object, click the gradient panel and have this new object to take on this exact gradient. But most of the time I'm not degraded copy but I'm creating new ones, and it makes more sense for me to create a gradient fill color. It would be helpful to someone else?

    This script is that it creates a gradient with both having the same color as the selected object

    var idoc = app.activeDocument;
    var sel = idoc.selection[0];

    var myGrad = idoc.gradients.add();
    myGrad.gradientStops[0].color = sel.fillColor;
    myGrad.gradientStops[1].color = sel.fillColor;

    var fillcolor = new GradientColor;
    fillcolor.gradient = myGrad;
    sel.fillColor = fillcolor;

  • Best way to create/protect PDF crossword?

    Hello

    I created a giant crosswords, I want the players to pay, download and fill out either on-site or offline.

    Creation of an interactive game is probably expensive, I wonder if it is possible to:

    (1) create a PDF file of the puzzle that showcases the squares and their corresponding indices.

    (2) inform the player when the puzzle is completed successfully;

    (3) to add security measures, to avoid that the purchased puzzle being reproduced and transmitted to other players?

    Thank you all for any help!

    You can do 1 and 2 with JavaScript, but 3 is not something that gives Acrobat. The closest thing is provide is security certificate. You can use standard password security so that the password is required to open the document, but the password might be spent with the document and most users would find annoying and you mind when they forget their password.

  • Is there a quick way to create a shortcut on the desktop instead of drag?

    I didn't notice a way to do more than to drag the address on the desktop. It would be cool to have an option of menu keyboard shortcut or bookmark - so I can't resize my browser in order to have room for dragging to the desktop, then resize again in full screen. I use FF 29.0.1, win7 64-bit

    Thank you!

    There was formerly a context menu entry to create a desktop shortcut; This extension adds this new item in Firefox.

    Hello

    Create PDF is a subscription service in function that you wish to convert ppt/pptx, doc/docx, xls/xlsx etc. documents to PDF format. This service is currently only available with the Document cloud. However, to read and save the documents on your device, you need not Document Cloud. Could you explain your problem in detail if you are unable to do the same? Please also indicate your android version and the version of Adobe Acrobat you are using.

  • I have created a form in Indesign. Is there a way to create the default text in a text field that displays the interactive pdf "insert text here" in the text field?

    I have created a form for the company, so that I work. It is a form that will be used in several offices and has buttons, drop downs and text fields. One of the text fields has a requirement that when the PDF file is opened, the text field has something written in there already, as an example (and one only) INSERT the TEXT HERE. I created the text field in Indesign and used the text tool to type in the area of the body-copy required. After that I have to export it as an interactive PDF, text in the text field disappeared.

    Drop-down lists give an option for a default choice, but I don't see a way to create default text in the Panel of buttons and forms for text fields. Is there a workaround or a hidden feature?

    Thank you!

    Set it in Acrobat.

    Hi kevin7frg,

    You can go to "file > create > scanner > configure presets PDF»

    The dialog box that appears, you can choose 8.5 X 11 as the default width and height of PDF pages to scan.

    Hope that helps.

    Assuming that you are talking about Adobe Acrobat 7 Standard, it is far from being compatible with Windows 7, if problems are to be expected.

    The first version which has been is 9.2, if I remember correctly.

    Hello

    Acrobat X doesn't support office in 2013. You will need to upgrade to Acrobat 11.0.1 or higher to use the feature to create a PDF file.

    Otherwise, you can open the Word file and print to PDF using the Adobe PDF printer. But it is not as rich as the one created by PDFMaker.

  • Export PDF, or other quick way to share with the customer.

    Does anyone know of a quick way to export an out-Muse page so that you can share a work in progress with a client?

    I realize that I can export and then package an HTML element, but when sharing those on the road is not always accessible to them on their smartphones.

    To this day, I had to resort to screenshots, and dial in Photoshop (where a page is larger than the size of the screen) to record on, which is good, but a bit tedious.

    Ideas or alternative approaches, I should know about?

    Thank you all.

  • Quick way to assign the IDs table header cells to data?

    Acrobat X (10.1.9)

    For the accessibility of tables with complex headers, is there a quick way to assign the ID of the header cells to data associated with them?  I have not found a way faster than go to one cell at a time.

    All tags already have an ID, this question is how quickly assign the ID of header cells to all data cells in a row or a column.

    Better yet, is there a function or plugin that looks like to a table column and line and automatically assigns the headers for all data cells?

    I used the Table Inspector in Acrobat and several years of the CommonLook plug-in version. Both allow you to set several properties for all the cells in a selection. And they act as if they fortunately put header IDs for multiple cells, but after clicking OK and watch the cell properties, TI is not set for any of them, and CL only sets it to the first cell that has been selected.

    I prepare a PDF file of scientific reports for Section 508 compliance. Often, they are hundreds of pages long and got the results of large tables. Some clients insist on complex headers. Cell by cell is surprisingly long.

    I am running the latest version of CommonLook and manages to assign very well identification tags.  You can select multiple cells and assign them to a header.  You can also select the same cells and assign them to another heading using "Append". This will add the new header, without deleting the header already assigned.  In earlier versions Append has not worked for me.   That's what you need, if you have complex tables for a long time.  If you get the latest version and this isn't the case call Technical Support, as the plugin does not work correctly.  The Touch Up reading order tool does not.

    I sometimes create a white/hidden text for the header text that spans several columns and then create individual to keep them, but I wouldn't rely on it for long tables or use it as my main method. It's a pretty quick solution in some cases - or if your author likes to let in line 1, column 1 white, you can create your own invisible header for the screen reader.  But it is too difficult to verify, and not the best route to follow. Also the hidden text is considered a no-no by some as it is supposed to be a drop out / drop behind or mistake to layout.

  • Problem, create a PDF file by dragging a doc on Acrobat file, after installing Office Mac 2016

    We have recently installed Office 2016 on a couple of Macs at work. We have XI of Acrobat Pro installed, and the other has the version of Creative Suite (Acrobat Pro DC) subscription. After you have installed Office 2016, we have two different problems when trying to create a PDF file from a doc or docx file by dragging the Word on Acrobat file (which we always used to do before, without any problems):

    1. on the computer with Acrobat Pro XI, drag the Acrobat doc file try to open Word 2016 with Acrobat, but then gives an error (cannot open Word) and the process stops. Do drag directly on doc file Word can open without error, and drag a PDF Acrobat file opens without error. We have tried to reinstall Microsoft Office and Acrobat and of course restarting the computer, but without success - the problem persists. Before installing Office 2016, the conversion would happen almost immediately, without the word being opened in the background.

    2. on computer 2, it's a different problem. The process works, but when you drag the file doc on Acrobat Pro DC, it begins to convert, but then he said that additional permissions are required to access the files (the way it gives looks like: private/var/folders/hn/vpyjby8d7r34y68chxfx9mpc0000gn/T/Acr175842024411136-91550.tmp) I have to then click on "Select" and grant access to the folder. It wouldn't be a problem if this were to be done once, but she does whenever I try to convert a doc in this way file (the path is always the same, but the .tmp file is always different). I thought it may be a permissions problem - do a read the information on file shows (/ T /) read & write access to me and "no access" for "everyone." I tried to settle temporarily "read and write" access to "everyone", but that did not help. Is there another way to give access to the applications in a folder without having to manually grant whenever an action?

    Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer a solution to these two problems!

    Integration between older versions of Acrobat (11 and earlier versions) and office 2016 will not be forthcoming. You need Acrobat DC for that integration. Sorry!

  • Is there a way to create a table that creates new "lines" when enter is pressed?

    Hi all

    I am trying to create a pdf file for my company to regularly use the packing list. Generally, this packing list is generated by our software, but our software was not designed primarily for delivery and purchase and lack of functionality. With complex or revised orders, we must create our own documents and I wanted to create something that could be used as a standard that reflects what the software has generated.

    Thus, the document itself. Packing lists (or invoices or purchase orders, according to what is required at this time) have a number of elements arranged in a table with properties. These properties is the name of the item, description, how many rooms, the price, the size of the container, etc. Simple packing lists have three or four points that all fit on one page but larger orders have elements which extend into several pages, ending with a 'total' for all areas.

    My question is, is - it possible ot create a table in Adobe Acrobat, DC format that allows me to create a dynamic array that can be extended (with additional lines) when necessary on another page or several pages? Table if it makes a difference, each page would have a header and a footer (information for the transport and logistics) for this 'dynamic' table would be sandwiched between these two areas.

    Thank you

    EDIT: I've been looking around and, I hope that Adobe Acrobat DC has this feature, but it seems the best way to acchieve that is via Adobe Live Cycle Designer, which fortunately, my supervisor has a copy. This youtube video explains, in an overview, exactly what I want to do and how to do it through this program. Perhaps that will help someone in the future who also Live Cycle:

    Creating robust dynamic forms in Adobe LiveCycle® - YouTube

    As you have found, it's more a characteristic of the LCD and not Acrobat. It is possible to add new fields in Acrobat, but there is no "dynamic table". It must be done manually.

    Another option is to create a template page with additional fields and then reproduce a copy of it when necessary.

  • Acrobat Pro DC freezes when creating a PDF from the Clipboard and gives an error message when you create a pdf from Microsoft Word 2016.

    Two weeks ago I have upgraded to Adobe Acrobat Pro since Acrobat Pro XI DC. Create a PDF from Clipboard in appearance from a status bar results, lessons for 25%, at which point Acrobat "freezes" "." " Similarly, when using the feature to create a file PDF in Microsoft Word 2016, a progress bar appears, gets to 25%, then the error message "Microsoft Word has stopped working", restart Word, and a message recommending that the Acrobat Add-in is disabled. I'm on Windows x 64 on a Lenovo X 1 carbon 10. Is there a "fix" to these questions?

    The word problem seems more likely to have a bug introduced by Microsoft in their last update for Word 2016, a couple of weeks. Someone posted a way to get Word to revert to a version:

    To revert to a version earlier office 2013 or 2016 Office in the form of installation of Office 365, you must use a command line and specify the build number, that you want to return.

    1. As Office 365 facilities are automatically updated in the background, you must disable the automatic updates first. This can be done in any application Office 365 via:
      File-> Office account-> Update Options-> disable updates
    2. Open a command prompt:
      1. Start-> type:cmd
      2. Click on: command prompt
      3. Choose: Run as administrator
      4. Provide your credentials to the administrator or to confirm the user account control dialog box when you are prompted.
    3. Type the command below that applies to your version of Office or Windows
      • Office 2016
        cd %programfiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun\
      • 2013 office under Windows 32-bit
        cd %programfiles%\Microsoft Office 15\ClientX86\
      • 2013 desktop on 64-bit Windows
        cd %programfiles%\Microsoft Office 15\ClientX64\
    4. You can specify the number of bed to regain in the following way:
      officec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=

      • Replace with the build number that you want to return. There is a preview of version numbers, you can return to the Office 2013 and 2016 Office.
      • Example to return to the release of January 2016 office:
        OfficeC2RClient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.6366.2062
      • Example to return to the release of January 2013 office:
        OfficeC2RClient.exe /update user updatetoversion=15.0.4787.1002
  • Create a PDF - Captivate 9

    Hello

    Is there a way to create PDFs of source 9 Captivate files? What are the alternatives?

    Thanks in advance!

    I wonder what you mean by 'pdf' because most people think about being a digital print as pdf. The PDF file that you can create with the Captivate publish options is an interactive pdf (requires Adobe Reader and Flash player), where the CP file will play (or almost) as it is in an LMS or a Web server.

    If you want to have a pdf as being a digital print, you first need to use the file, print to create a Word document (with option documents maybe), then create the pdf file of this Word document.
