R61i trackpoint does not work with Win7 or XP

Well, I'm down to one last thing to do work on this laptop b4 I send to its owner. The audio was difficult, it works after that uninstall what put Win7 obtained and used Lenovo software. The Mute key was difficult, got the job after having installed the Lenovo's Hotkey software. Only thing left is the trackpoint aka Baton Rouge and the left, right and scroll keys below the space bar. This is a laptop without a touch pad for the trackpoint is put to work. I'm guessing that both the trackpoint and left, right and scroll key are tied together.

Device Manager is good UNTIL you view hidden devices. While mice and other pointing devices comes with one! next to PS/2 TrackPoint.

It gives the error message is "this device is not present, is not working properly or is not all its drivers installed." (Code 24) »

I'm also going to stick to what he says for the location of the device "on Intel(r) ICH8M LPC Interface Controller - 2815"

I installed the latest version of the trackpoint.

Clues? Assumptions? I wouldn't put XP on this thing.

EDIT: OMG! It works again! I took the Palm out and came out of the keyboard. Put it back together and it works. It's an internal problem I guess. Maybe the keyboard is not enough screwed.

For those looking to install Windows 7 on this laptop. It's pretty simple. Only 1 point is presented in the device as Manager is not installed. Simply visit Windows Update and it will install what you need. Apart from this all you need is the shortcut key and reviews of Hotkey Patch to make the Mute button and the display on the screen as work volume level.

For a Windows XP installation you download the latest chipset, graphic, sound, lan, wifi, trackpoint, hotkey and shortcut fix files and you good to go. Note: LAN and extract SOUND they don't install it not, you must start the installation manually.

    I have my doubts that the (10.11.5) software is the problem.  Are you sure that the DVD player is simply not defective?  Have you tried to clean the lens?  What is the State of the disc?

    Your best option may be a date at a bar in engineering of the Apple store for a FREE evaluation.
