Rapidwiz upgrade to R12.2 - Web Server pre-installation verification failed
Hello people.
I'm on the right track to improve my EBS 12.1.3 to R12.2. I did all the pre-reqs/patch before the upgrade according to the DOC: Oracle E-Business Suite Upgrade Guide version 12.0 and 12.1 to 12.2 E48839-02 Réf..
Finally, I run rapidwiz. However, after entering all the required values, when rapidwiz reached the status of control system, after doing several checks he stuck on 'Web server pre-installation check failed ".
System check the status showing window continues same message for 2 hours. For more information please see the screenshot below.
Please, let me know where rapidwiz creates log file so that I can investigate the reason to fail. Also, please try to fix this.

R12: "Login" after Installation verification fails on OEL5

You must edit the file hosts (under % Windows%\system32\drivers\etc) on the client computer (XP machine) and have a valid entry as follows:
192.168.139.132 vmlinux.vmdomain.com
Make sure that you can test the server (vmlinux.vmdomain.com) as well as the IP address (192.168.139.132) of the XP client.
Add the URL of the application to the trusted sites in the browser (IE).
You should be able to access the application, and then (using http://vmlinux.vmdomain.com:8000).

Upgrading to 4 Fusion and now I can't access the web server on my Mac host
I am running OS x 10.6.8 and I'm hosting a virtual machine running windows XP, using NAT Networking. I have a web server running on the mac I need to access from the hosted virtual machine. I used to be able to just use the IP address of the gateway in the virtual machine for the web server, but it doesn't seem to work. If I set the external IP address of the mac it seems to work, but I don't have a static IP address, so it is a pain to update every hour.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thank youAlthough in some cases, the IP address of the gateway works, nevertheless IMO that is a misuse and should use the address IP of VMware NAT Virtual Ethernet adapter IP address the host not IP address of gateway.
If in a Terminal, run the following command:
ifconfig | grep -A 3 vmnet8
Then use the address after "inet" IP said at the exit.
Example on my system:

Oracle E-Business Suite patches pre-installation on top of R12.1.1
We try to identify the patches that are required to be applied on top of R12.1.1 before calling the u6678700.drv. We came across the note, Oracle E-Business Suite Patches Report [Video] [ID 1448102.1] pre-installation. We installed the report and according to the note and the report, we have 'Failed to upgrade Script - EBS' 98 patches and 'Problem of Performance - EBS' 33 patches. We would like to know if its required to apply all of these 33 98 + patches and if yes is there a better way to get a merged fix?
We need to apply fixes for products under a particular family combination if they are not allowed? IE say under Finacials, produced ZX, XLE are not allowed, so can I ignore patches preinstallation for these products?

PIX with H &; S VPN DMZ hosting web server to the hub

Heres a problem which I think would be quite common for these even remotely conscious of security. Unfortunately, my knowledge of the PIX (as well as other Cisco devices) is still in phase of 'growth '.
So, here's the problem. I have a WAN put in place with PIXen and SonicWalls, we are set up in a design essentially Hub and Spoke (fine ok so it is partially meshed). We recently decided to pull the trigger on getting a 'real' web site and everything went relatively well that getting up and rolling. (even with my notice of 3 days/deadline), but here's the problem: I set up the web server on the DMZ to the hub pix, and I figured out (the easy part) how to set things so in the Home Office, people can connect to the web server by using the internal address, but I don't know what to do for people in remote offices with VPN home connections. I tried to define static routes, I tried to add the DMZ to the VPN trigger, I tried to do both of the last things together, and I checked that I have rules allowing traffic to the VPN outside the DMZ on the inside. So, what else can I I get?
I have no problem by configuring a PIX for all basic ups and VPN even at this stage, I can do most of it through the CLI (even if I still want to do more through the PDM). My biggest stumbling block on the PIX has so far was when I actually involve this pesky DMZ...
I actually two PIX in my office, two for my network domestic (one for my place in the States and one for my place in the Japan), so if you can help me, I'll be the two problems and do not forget to give a rating of excellent reviews!

Well, this will usually be the folder root of your apache server.
for example, windows search for the /htdocs
for linux/var/www/html
However, if you manage a large dmm project then it is advisable to create subfolder under the root folder such as:
/ video
/ images
So overall, the content will be accessible using the example http:///video.
Then, you can simply add Vod on the DMM library using the link above and avoid uploading it directly to the DMM

You have changed the source IP address of the order I suggested?
There is no reason to use the 192.168.1.1 IP address as the source of this command "packet - trace" that the source will NEVER be this IP address, because it is a private IP not routable on the public Internet.
Then you can try with the order I suggested.
entry Packet-trace out tcp 1.1.1.1 12345 61.186.236.4 80
I guess that the above command / test failed because you were using the real server IP address as the IP source for the test.

Project created after installing the new update for CP9 does not not on Web server
We upgraded 2 computers yesterday with the new update for 9 Captivate and that they will not play on our web server. We have completed the upgrade of projects work very well.
New projects are working fine locally. I had to open these on a computer that has not been to level again and then make a new project and copy the slides in the new draft and publish it. Then it works on our web server.

Can you check with your Web server administrator that the list of permitted such MIME type entry for json files?
It is a necessity with the changes in the recent update to HTML5 runtime. Please let me know if that solves the problem.

R12.1.1 EBS installation and upgrade to R12.1.3
Dear Experts,
I'm already installed Oracle E-business R12.1.1 (new installation without patch update after installation is complete).
However, now I will install a new VM on Oracle Linux 5.4 then level to R12.1.3.
I'm looking in and read too many articles in the Oracle support on how to install 12.1.1 and upgrade to R12.1.3, I found too many documents and patches.
My question, is there any document makes instruct me to install requisit-pre and post requisit for installation and the upgrade?
and also, mention the fix required for displays and upgrade?

Just upgraded to 8 Captivate and for some reason my server any internal messages is no longer work on the web server. I can test locally the lesson that always points to the Web server and it works. Can't understand why when it is on the server it does not work. The ashx handler that manages to post is fully accessible to the web server and DNS solves very well so I can't understand why he doesn't hit the Manager. I use IIS to host it and a .ashx for managing for results.
Is there maybe something new that needs to be allowed in IIS for 8 Captivate work? .js seems to be fine and firewall is not the issue. Short of ideas and the need for this work as soon as possible.

OK, finally solved. For some reason any run under HTTPS lesson could not publish my results. As soon as I changed to HTTP the results perfectly. All of this makes sense why I could post locally on the Web server. Hope this saves someone else 5 days of hell.

You should not change the Test.Config file.
It seems that it cannot connect to your Web server. Check that your Web server is running. Check the logs at/usr/local/apache2/logs /.
Also, make sure that you do not have a firewall running on your client.

First of all, quick summary of my configuration:
- 6 devices - 3 Android and iOS 3 devices all connecting via wireless
- LAN with my own Web server and DNS. All Web sites are configured to work outside virtualhost such as mysite.local and can be access in the browser on my desktop and all devices
- My own local server weinre works again since all devices
- My own PC with Chrome and and extension edge inspect
- All devices can connect on board to inspect without any problem and in a position to use synchronized browsing Web sites on the internet
I just upgraded to the full version of creative cloud and now I can view is more Web sites on my LAN in edge inspect but ONLY on my Android devices. I would absolutely swear that my Android devices to connect but for some reason, they cannot now and I get a message "Web Page not available". In addition, it shows the IP of my desktop (I guess this is how to inspect dashboard works?) as the address that it is unable to connect. On the back of this, I tried to connect to this IP address in the Android browser but nothing happened, and I turned off the firewall on my desktop PC but still no luck. Finally, I tried everything Android devices on their own without the connected devices iOS, but also with all 6 are connected and it's the same thing every time.
Anyone able to help?

OK, got it. I'm sure that I know what goes wrong. In iOS, the .local domain names management is automatic, but we had to in Android code in a solution for this particular situation. In iOS,
.local refers to the local computer, so when the Android client sees that URL to enter, she replaces part se1united.local of the URL with the IP address of the machine running edge inspect. In most cases, that works, but in your case, it seems that you are in fact trying to refer to a third machine whose IP address must be resolved in dialogue with your own domain name server. The code native iOS that runs properly and is not our code custom Android. So there is a problem with our Android app, but I suspect the fix for this will not be easy. In the meantime, there should be some simple solutions, you can choose from your side which must make things work correctly with applications Android and iOS.
- In Chrome, try referring to your site with the following URL: http://192.168.1.50/ OR
- Rename your server from se1united.local to something that does not include the part ".local" domain name
I think that is one of those who should work fine.
