• Change the rating scale

  I have 5 questions and the answer to each question is fraud or abuse.  I was hoping that I can configure it as a rating scale where I list the 5 issues in rows (A - E) and the radio buttons colum header as fraud and abuse (vs not agree rather disagree). I would also have the opportunity to try again (if the answer is incorrect) or continue (if all the answers are correct).

  Or any idea how I could accomplish as task?

• Quiz - Rating scale (survey) output

  Hello again guys

  This time, I have trouble with quizes in my project. I thought that it is easy to create quizzes survey but... :))

  That (or where) is out of the quiz slides rating scale?

  There are two slides rating scale in my project (each with 5 questions 1 - 5), but there is absolutely no output or output parameter that lets view the answers of the user.

  Is it possible to somehow see the total sum of the points of the survey questions?

  In these posts, I explain how to use widgets and the associated variables (both are on the radio buttons and check boxes). And Yes, the values of the variables are used to calculate a score.

  If you want to report to an LMS, you will need another blog post on the reports, but I thought that you don't need that.

  Hope that let me me pointing to an explanation more detailed rather than repeat everything in those boxes to answer with their limited functionality. This is the reason why I started blogging a year ago.

• Change the Format of the Question

  I repositioned the content of a Question of Likert scale in support of our model. Several (Captivate 2.0) weird things happen.
  
  Firstly I have centered the numbering of the pages in a bar, when I saw, the pagination is not centered, in fact it is higher on the screen. I played around with the positioning until it displays correctly but when I'm on the editing screen is far away.
  
  Secondly, I moved the question and the rating scale and the buttons in the center of the screen with an area of high point behind them. It seems that the buttons are assigned to both groups to move. They are sometimes attached to the description of the scale (agree not agree, etc.) and sometimes they are attached to the issue.
  Anyway, once they moved with the rating scale descriptors, at the preview of the objects were all on display and were not where they were in edit mode.
  Another thing, that I noticed when I first selected the objects and have begun their repositioning with the down arrow key, they have immediately left justified and the left edge of the screen, I couldn't shift to the right. I had to drag them. I believe that is where they became disconnected from the grid screen real and begun previewing differently. Edit and preview were different.
  
  I searched the forums and found nothing of the sort. I hope that a service pack for Captivate soon appears. Captivate 1.0 was buggy, but Captivate 2.0 has many undocumented features that really adversely affect the tasks to accomplish. Quick Create is really slow down when you have to deal with all the questions. I also noticed that the number of questions that appear on the forum seems to be increasing.
  Sufficient ventilation. Everyone knows about this issue and to know what part secret screen I'm supposed to touch to get preview screens and the right edition?

  Regarding the size of the screen, I was able to view the entire screen without scrollbars, snap to grid is turned off.
  Quite strange when I deleted the corrupted question slide, snap to grid and recreated the question slide, I have encountered the problem again.

• Print the specific tile

  Is it possible to print specific tiles (NON-specific pages) when you use the option poster?

  I'm working on a map of large screen which will consist of 3 individual panels, 76 "long and wide 36" (our size plotter).  I would like to print only the upper part of each tile for the test, to see how the borders, etc. align.

  I prefer not to print the length of each tile for this purpose. However, in mode "Poster", while the rating scale indicates he knows there are 3 pages (i.e. tiles), print only selections Voirledocument all of the document (see image below).

  The print to the Adobe PDF printer. It generates a new PDF file where each page is a single mosaic. Then you will be able to print just the tile you want.

• Need help to create a custom formula

  I have a form of evaluation of staff for which I need to create a custom calculation script. We have a rating scale for 1,2,3,4, N/O (not observed). I need a formula that will not include indicators that were marked "N/O" but an average of all selected numbers and place it on the form.

  

  The formula must focus on all areas and determine if they are a numeric value or the N/O, add all the fields with a digital together and then divide by the total number of assessments which have a numeric value. For example:

  1.01 = 4

  1.02 = 3

  1.03 = N/O

  1.04 = 3

  1.05 = 3

  1.06 = 4

  1.07 = N/O

  I need the formula for adding 1.01,1.02,1.04,1.05 and 1.06 and divide by 5 instead of divide by 7, because all indicators have not been observed.

• Several buttons and rdcmndGotoFrame with rdinfoCurrentFrame

  I'm working on a project using the buttons and multiple advanced actions to allow users to make a self-assessment with a rating scale. The buttons are how they enter their rating.  I had the problem of when I clicked on one of the buttons it would advance the slide instead of wait for the user to click on the next button. I searched the forums and found the solution to use rdcmndGotoFrame with rdinfoCurrentFrame, that fixed my issue of the advance slide and let my rankings correspond correctly to the top.  But now I have the problem that the slides with side buttons do not play, even when none of the buttons were clicked to trigger rdcmndGotoFrame with rdinfoCurrentFrame.

  Does not look further for the reason of corruption in this action InitSlide, but with a fresh mind have now some questions and answers:

  • the InitSlide action makes no sense at all; You must have misunderstood this other thread, because the variables that you are reset to 0 for each slide will be re-populated by actions on the various buttons. change the action on enter to the 3 critical thinking slides to continue (BTW, don't use not identical ID even for slides, when you use the button to its use in the interface the user advanced, Actions the same slide jumped 3 times, ID was quite confused until I realized that you used the same label on slide three times)
  • the variables that might perhaps need to reset to 0 are those which are incremented after each slide as v_Critical... (another tip: check the shorter labels...) ; but this can be necessary if you allow the user to resume all the slides; is this the case? Reset would be enough once, entering the first criticism... drag

  You do not have to stagger the buttons as you did on the first slide of critical thinking, with the statement that Rewinds the playhead in the tip action, they have the same point of suspension. Another tip (I was born as a sensei): label the buttons, if you graduate them before you create / label advanced actions, you can even use the same label for actions, makes it much easier to attach to buttons (what about Bt_CT1_1 for the first button on the first slide, Bt_CT2_7 for the seventh button on the second slide etc...)

  This script works, but when the calculation is equal to 1.99, 3.50, 4.25 exactly the event.value swells. and I don't want that to round upward. I want it to equal the event. value number I perscribed.

  If you perform calculations, the value displayed is not always equal the value used by JavaScript. It might be a good idea to round the value used in the script to match the displayed value. You may also need to set up values outside the rating scale.

• Likert rating quiz questions?

  I create a skills assessment in an e-Learning career development.

  The range consists of 1 to 5, I have the lowest and 5 being the highest high.

  I would like to add partial marked which would coincide with the range.

  Example 1 = 1 point, 2 = 2 points etc.

  I would use multiple choice, however, I need more questions and answers on each slide, because I have about 60 skills that I need the user to assess themselves.

  Likert questions may not be categorized at all, sorry.

  Another possibility (created such a case of use once for a customer) is to use the interactions between the radio buttons, the other standard objects and advanced actions.
