  I recently downloaded my previously purchased Photoshop CS4 Extended on my new macbook pro and installed correctly, however camera raw will not open and is not the same version that was on my old macbook. My old macbook was camera raw version 5.6 or 5.7. Someone at - it suggestions?

  Hello

  I got a new camera, Olympus OM D 10.

  Unfortunatelly the ORF-format RAW cannot be read by my system, what is Photoshop CS4 (student edition) and Camera Raw 5.

  So that's what I did:

  -Download and install Olympus PSP High Res Shot Photoshop plugin, but still by importing images it shows that they are of the wrong type

  -Download and install the 9_4 DNG Converter, convert my Photos, but still they must not have open "because they are not the right type.

  -Download and install DNG Converter 8_5 because it was the first version that supports my camera and to the download page it says that a new Camera Raw Version is included.

  It still does not...

  What will I have to enter my CameraRaw, Photoshop-workflow of the ORF-RAWs?

  Where can I find the version of Camera Raw on my computer (win 7)? I can't find it in the Adobe section.

  When you use the DNG Converter that you don't have to put it to the Adobe Camera Raw you have.  5.7 for CS4 is the last.

  What version do you have? Shall be displayed at the top of the window if you are going in Edition > Camera Raw preferences in Bridge CS4

  What happens if you go to help > updates in Bridge CS4?

  Alternatively, you can install it manually.

  Don't forget to have the last download, and then open the DMG file (should do so automatically) and enter the card file to drag it to the right place.

  This is the path:

  Library (which is on root, not your library user account!) / Application Support / Adobe? Plug-ins / CS4 / File Formats.

  In this folder should be a current version and it is called "Caméra Raw.plugin" to the title of the info it should say version 5.7.

  The D7100 was added to the list of devices supported in Camera Raw version 7.4, which is compatible with Photoshop CS6. There is no Camera Raw plugin for Photoshop CS5 that will support this camera. You will need to choose another software, or use the free DNG Converter to create negative digital copies of your NEF files. Then you can open these files DNG using Camera Raw, you have now.

  OK, to account. I needed to update my Windows 7 Photoshop ACR to 8.7, so I went the same link I gave you.

  I usually keep Firefox and Chrome browsers. I put my download location in the preferences of browser on 'Office '.

  Then I went to this link and click on the zip file. I chose 'Save' instead of 'open with '.

  The zip file is now on my desk, I can see it.

  I double-click it to unzip it (I use Winrar 5.11) I then get the .exe installer.

  I close all my programs, run the installer and enter my admin password when asked. He simply settled with a single click.

  When I finished, I open the bridge, go to preferences Raw camera to see I have 8,7 I.

  I'm not familiar enough with the camera models to choose those that could be without a mirror. You probably know that there is a Raw camera available for Photoshop CS6 8.6. It supports all of the cameras listed. However, all the new features that have been added to Camera Raw 8.x is not available. These new features are only available in Photoshop CC.

  Seem to have found the problem.  Windows 7 (64), PS CS5 extended.  Turns out Adobe Photoshop Camera Raw version 6.7.0.339 was already installed.  Guess 6.6 update is not enough smart to bail or alert when a later version is installed.

  Also, it turns out that Adobe Camera Raw 6.7 is the last update for Photoshop CS5.

  Reinstalled first elements, used help, look for the updates.  Camera Raw 6.7 was installed by the update process.  That's how I discovered I'm good.
