Re: Lost shortcuts Toshiba FN + F1... F12

I reinstalled my Win7.
Now, I've lost all my shortcuts on Toshiba FN + F1... F12.

How can I reactivate them?

If you have reinstalled Win7 using the non-Toshiba recovery image you will have these shortcuts.
In general the right name is flash cards.
To install again Toshiba Value Package added. (VAP)

You can find it on the download page of Toshiba.

If you had not reinstalled Vista, we helped you recover the product key of Vista for running old, Vista activated using specific programs.

But, as you have wiped the hard and reinstall Vista, we will not help you recover the product key.

    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/home.jsp

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

Using recovery disks is normally not need to insert a product key.

  • I lost two Toshiba programs for my Satellite U300

    Hello

I lost the program that for example, I changed the memory card reader and fan RPM settings.
For example, memory card reader only works when laptop being charged. And you can set the rpm of different fan between the use of the battery and load (power supply).

Now I can not find the program anywhere. I think it was the program of Toshiba but I do not know...

    Thank you!

    Hello

What you are talking about two different establishments, one is a program and the other is an option in Windows. for the memory card reader, there are some programs that vary on the manufacturer of the card reader, if you are not sure, check the name of the program by locating the list of drivers for your model of Satellite U300 on http://support.toshiba.ca/support/Download/ln_byModel.asp

In what "program" which allows you to change your fan speed (RPM), click on the battery icon in the taskbar (i.e. near the clock in the lower right corner) and select several options of feed, then "Change plan settings" for the current plan that you selected, and then click "change advanced power settings". in the window that opens, you should see TOSHIBA Power Saver Settings. Expand this option (i.e. the cooling method) and to reduce or increase the fan speed select optimized battery or maximum Performance.

That should help you with your question.

    Kind regards.

  • Satellite A110 Upgrade - Xpress 200 M problem, lost Toshiba Software

I own Toshiba Satellite A110-110. After using this laptop for a period of two years with pre-installed system, CPU and RAM, I decided to update. So, I change Celeron M410 for a Core Duo T2450, 60 GB HDD for a HARD drive of 250 GB and 512 MB of RAM to 2 GB of RAM and Windows XP it for a Vista Enterprise.

Installation of all parts and software went well. Then, I downloaded and installed the drivers for Vista. So what's the problem you could ask?

An ATI Xpress 200 M, could get up to 256 MB of graphics RAM on Windows XP, now with Vista, this graphics card in the Panel displays only 128 MB (shared) memory got. Is there any option to change the settings and have the old 256 MB. Maybe someone knows the solution?

As the second main problem after that the upgrade of my personal system is total lost all Toshiba Utilities like connectivity, Wireless LAN search doctor (transparent oval radar hide on the right side of the screen with other options), Panel of SRS WOW Sound and others who were in Office Setup.

Vista does not appear all that I put in the system, some of them. If someone can help fix this problem and know where I can get this kind of software would you please give me a tip and write what kind of idea, you are able to share.
    Thanks for any help!
    Alex

As already suggested Homer shared memory cannot be manually set to a higher value. Everything works automatically and the graphics driver control and assigns the amount of shared memory
In addition, the shared memory value max depends on available main memory.
The high value of the main memory, the upper value of the shared memory could be used on laptop computer A110.

I have carefully read your message and I m confused
You said that you got the system several times and set to factory settings.
From my point of view that the Bluetooth must be preinstalled by the factory settings and in this case, no additional installation is required
I m wondering if you have enabled the Bluetooth using the Fn + F12 keys?

For the Toshiba notebooks the FN + F8 combination has enabled the WiFi and BT but X 870 Fn + F12 is the right combination

Then, activate Bluetooth would force other BT shares finished with BT work permit

    > I have a lot of data and images on the disc that I didn't lose

I have bad news boyfriend. The message missing operating system means that the laptop can not find the operating system on the HARD drive. And do you know why the laptop can not find the OS (operating system)?
Because the HARD drive is DEAD!

I had the same behavior, 2 years ago. My 4 year old HARD drive was dead. It was an accident of the head and I lost all my files :(

But fortunately, I created backups on CD so I could restore my photos and my mp3.

  • No F4 with El Capitan...

One to remember the good old days, when we could hit F4, get your notes, get a calculator, a Celsius Fahrenheit/meter cm and kilometer to miles Exchange program?

Yes.  Now, F4 does not work and I lost a lot of info, info I need and you can't get.

How can I recover the old notes I had?

As well, I'm bored kilometer in Exchange for miles, the Celsius to Fahrenheit etc, etc, etc.

    I need help!

Yes, El Capitan is nice, but we could get before opinion delete just good useful applications...

    HI there MagicM.

So you're looking for the dashboard or the Launchpad for quick access of the Widgets or applications. If you're talking about the scoreboard which was a separate space in previous versions of Mac OS X, you may need to activate in your system preferences. The keyboard shortcut for it's F12 when activated:

OS X El Capitan: Get info Express with dashboard

If you're talking about the dashboard, check out the info in the following article:

OS X El Capitan: use Launchpad display and open applications

Dashboard does not have a shortcut by default, but you can certainly be set in system preferences > keyboard > shortcuts > Launchpad & Dock > show Launchpad. I have done this and characterized by the F4 key and it worked perfectly.

OS X El Capitan: use global keyboard shortcuts

    1. Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, click keyboard, and then click shortcut.

    2. Select the action in the list you want to change.

    3. Double-click the current shortcut, and then press the new key combination to use.

You cannot use each type of key (for example, a letter) more than once in a combination of keys.

    4. Quit and then restart all the apps that you use for the new keyboard shortcut to take effect.

If you assign a keyboard shortcut that already exists for another command or another application, your new shortcut won't work. Find the menu command that he uses, and then reassign the keyboard shortcut for this element.

To disable a shortcut, uncheck the box next to its description in the list.

If you want to return their original combinations of all the shortcuts, click default settings.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support, let us know how it goes!

  • Where to find info on the Satellite Pro A200 PSAF0A

I have an A200 Satellite (Pro), number PSAF0A - 03M 019 and so far have NOT had the chance to get the info on the site of Toshiba on this machine, it seems lost as Toshiba is concerned.

When you use the menu support it rejects serial number or part of the bottom of the machine and there is NO option for the part number in the drop-down list.

I don't have drivers that I've sorted myself but, I would like to know what BIOS version it is supposed to take, he had originally version 1.20 but my client upgraded to 5.20 and there is no setting in the BIOS to enable the AHCI.

All I want to do is find some info on this machine, but I didn't do anything but run into dead ends with so-called support Toshiba. Any help I can get would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

    > I don't need drivers, I sorted it myself, but I would like to know what BIOS version it is supposed to take.

The newest BIOS is on the page of the Toshiba driver so take a look here
But no one version of BIOS for Satellite Pro A200 or other A200 series contain the AHCI / compatible mode.
The controller is still on AHCI. This can be on that other series laptop.

After the change, I installed a version of winmx... with all the taken drivers support Toshiba (u100 drivers)... one of them has been updated BIOS level...

After all, I found that my manager material showing an error... mass storage (yellow marks not informing - no drivers), module Ethernet (not even driver) and fire wire (133smth) who cannot not start this service to inform...
