  I just installed AE 2015 (keeping previous versions...) and tried to start the animation of character - but it is grayed out in the menu, and I'm not able to run it.

  I've seen a few threads in this forum on the registration of the problems that have been solved by the sign - in and sign - out.

  I signed off CC and return, nothing has changed.

  I'm not going to have a license problem - it seems that the character animation was not installed at all?

  I also tried to search my PC for the program itself, without success.

  I have experience with character animation and a problem I've never seen elsewhere. All mobile work and what is not, but the head seems to be moving on its own and jerks back. I don't know what I do to cause this problem. I have closed and reopened the project upwards as well as restarted the system.

  Thank you. problem solved. There was a small app called camtwist causing problems. I deleted the app so I could reset the default camera!

  Usually, it's because it's think mistakenly that the arms and body are interconnected like a mesh somehow. Try clicking on 'Show the mesh' in the toolbar at the bottom, and then select the layers - the triangles overlap only in the art of character, or white spots? If it's over white spots, as well as between the body and the arm, so you can check and delete / erase any trace of problem.

  Another thing to try is in the right panel under properties of the puppet, try to set the Mesh outline instead of Auto shape. It's another way to look at the stitch which sometimes does not take into account such issues.

  The only solution so far reported is to uninstall After Effects and then reinstall it.

  Hello everyone - I am a newbie to character animation and was going through the examples of preview 3. I use a macbook pro and am subscribed creative cloud.  My problem is that when I click on the button placement remains fixed in the window of the camera, I don't get the red dots that follow my face - in fact, nothing seems to happen. So I'm not able to experiment with the Red Monster. Y at - it something I am doing wrong?  I opened the preview examples 3 by following the instructions in Adobe After effects. I am a teacher and want to use it with students!   Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

  Sometimes the latch points on bottom of objects (a poster on the wall for example) if she thinks it is closer to a face. Brighter and larger, your face is in the camera, the better.

  I have not personally heard a technical reason, the points are not displayed, but if possible, try on different webcam to see if that solves. You can also double-click on your face to set the laying rest as well, or use the menu 3 lines 'hamburger' above to switch to another camera.
