  Geert - Thanks for the info. I think that's not a bug. With the read-only option, it displays the data as it would for a display text (does not save the State) items for which source of HTML element, that is, unescaped. If you want the text escaped by using your dynamic lov query simply use htf.escape_sc:

• How to add the transient attribute for LOV (object of the view read-only)

  I have a view called CustomerView and attribute DepartmentId is present in it.

  Also exists DepartmentView and CustomerView.DepartmentId has an LOV from this point of view.

  I need to add a transient attribute to CustomerView which express the DepartmentName attribute in the LOV.

  Because of the view are read-only there is no entity object don't match them.

  How can I write the groovy for the transitional object expression.

  you are not able to write to the expression property in viewObject?

  or you want to know how to write groovy for that?

  for writing groovy you need viewAccessor and you who have, you can try as Alejandro Tovar Lanz suggested

• Static display LOV discriptions in a read-only table

  Attempts to display a read-only table. The user will then select a line to edit.
  
  If the table is editable the LOV displays very well. If it is read-only, it shows only the raw values. The majority of my LOV is static.

  In the view object, define a list of values in the field (as usual).

  When you create the table, remove the default column (in general the output text) and replace it with a single column select (should be automatic if the view has the LOV - so drag and drop)

  Now, open the properties of the field by selecting the poplist in the column and change the unique selection of read only = true.

  It will be much better that decode, who has a number of fixed - so it's the table led - as records are added - the list will always work.

  It seems that there is a certain messages on the forums about something similar to this, but nothing (that I can find) involving really read only tables.
  
  I have a tree table which shows a BOM. A BOM is a list of raw, subassemblies, assemblies, intermediate, sub-components, components, parts and the quantities of the two required for the production of a finished product.
  
  In this table tree, PARENT, CHILD, and QTY columns are displayed and are held in the BOM table. PARENT and CHILD have a LOV defined with a NAME attribute, which comes from the object View of PARTS. When I view the table tree on my. JSFF, PARENTS and CHILDREN show their number of DBSequence which had been assigned to them and is stored in the Schedule table, as opposed to the value of NAME through their LOV. A user would probably as the component name, rather than the sequence number.
  
  I could simply add this attribute of NAME in my view BOM with a JOIN clause object and display it like that, but it feels as if I am needlessly complicate my view object.
  
  How can I display the Display NAME attribute in a read-only table?

  Hi Will,

  I'm sure you'll be stuck with that in a situation of read-only. You can bring in the description as a reference attribute in your VO, and it should work.

  I have a VO ('X') which appears as a table in read-only. 'X' has an attribute called "SubscriptionId". The value of "SubscriptionId" is a foreign key to another table called "subscription". My "Subscription" database table contains a column named "Description".
  
  Example:
  
  'X' has an attribute "SubscriptionId" = 14
  
  DB table "Subscription" has a line that looks like this:
  
  14, "A description of subscription" (where "A description of the subscription" is the "Description" column)
  
  
  I created a LOV for "SubscriptionId" on my 'X' VO, whereas it should show the value of 'Description' of "Subscription" instead of the "SubscriptionId".
  
  If I view my VO 'X' as a form, I can see my LOV (for 'Description').
  
  However, when I view my VO ('X') as a table in read-only, it is not adhering to the LOV I set on my VO and instead watch the "SubscriptionId".
  
  What do I need do differently on my table to show the "Description" instead of the foreign key "SubscriptionId"? I want just a text output of the Description, not a list of choices.

  I have a problem with Windows 7 I tried to solve by looking online, go to the Microsoft Windows 7 and appellant community Microsoft technical support phone line.
  I have triedthe suggested online solutions and when I called Microsoft Technical Support, I was told that they thought might be the problem and I was told that if I wanted to try the remote solution, I agree to pay $99 or sign for their $49 per month. I tried what they thought resolves the problem by getting the online instructions but it did not work.
  Here's the problem: I set up our desktop computer with the operating system Windows 7 (I love good Windows 7) and then installed a second hard drive with all of our documents and files in the computer.  When I try to open the files on the second hard drive, I get the message that the file is read-only.  When I try to change the attributes of the file or the folder that the file is in and then try to open the file I get the same message.
  I followed a suggestion that I read online that works (set at its lowest setting user account control), but now our computer has no protection against unauthorized manipulation.
  Can you tell me how I can get help for this problem?
  I tried: 1. make a new account administrator 2. Using the attrib command and 3. used the digitization program to repair corrupted as the file to user profile files.

  When you right click on the files read-only, you have the "Take Ownership" option. Once you have correctly taken possession of the file, you can then change the properties of this file to remove the read-only.

• Make the fields to a custom read-only after clickingsubmit button page to insert page

  I have a custom insert page. When the user enters and click on submit, I want to do all the other fields read-only except 'create another button of registration '.

  Also, I have a lov in my custom page, when the user selects invalid values, error messages will be displayed. My problem is same after displaying the error message, the user has the option to navigate to the order of the day and enter data and submit. How to prevent the user to navigate to the order of the day if the value entered is not valid.

  Please suggest your ideas.

  Option 1: Add a controller to the dynamic region and ad whereclause LOV to limit the LOV query, so that it will not allow the user to select the 100.

  Option 2: The LOV (if required), just remove the value of the element LOV LOV action, based on the State.

  If this element of text attached to the lov is a single block record, use the SET_ITEM_PROPERTY procedure with the UPDATE_ALLOWED = property_false property.

  If it is a multi-record block, use the SET_ITEM_INSTANCE_PROPERTY procedure with the UPDATE_ALLOWED = property_false property.

  So, the logic might be:

  IF: blk_name.textitem is not null THEN - assuming a valid value entered via lov (you can check this if you set the "Post to list" item text to true).

  SET_ITEM_xxxxxxx ('blk_name.textitem', UPDATE-ADMITTED, PROPERTY_FALSE);

  END IF;

  After spending all morning on the interweb Googling I'm still at a loss as to how to do this

  Basically, I developed a tabular form that the customer love with nice formatting, the calculated values in the column headings that I am very proud of :-)

  in the PM_REF column, we have a value, if the value is 200 300 or 400 so all the line items must be disabled or read-only

  "td [headers ="ASSIGNMENT_ID"] entry: visible" seeks of entry elements, which are not there, it's just plain text. Change that, and it should work just fine.

• How Mark Read only cases based on RadioButton selections

  I have spent the last hour looking through old discussions and found nothing on this subject, so maybe it will help others in the future as well.

  I'm building a dynamic PDF for people at work to use for troubleshooting.  Basically, it follows the same logic flow charts I have already done, but by asking questions and saying technicians what do based on their responses.  Top I have checkboxes which are kind of 'high level questions' that I want to be read-only and that they check automatically as they make their way through the radio buttons.

  My ultimate goal is to integrate this PDF file in our ticketing system and the checkboxes at the top level will show the troubleshooting that has already been accomplished without the technician having read the full PDF to find out what to do next.  If we have to send a technician on site to fix whatever it is she will also act as a report of climbing, to let him know where we could get without him being there.

  I thought this might work, but apparently I don't understand the coding as well as I thought I did.  I hope I'm close lol.

  I've created two elements on a page and they are named P47_REQUEST_SOURCE_KEY (RSK) and P47_REQUEST_SOURCE_OTHER (RSO). I want to do SAR conditionally read-only based on the value of the RSK. BSR, here is a list of selection based on a LOV and RSO is a text field. I want RSO read-only unless the Serbian Republic of Krajina is equal to 'other '. I've experimented with read-only Condition Type value of ' expression element 1 is! exepression2 =', P47_REQUEST_SOURCE_KEY and expression expression1 two "other". (The value of the key stored in the LOV is 'OTHER' but the display value is 'Other'). I also tried the ' text in expression1. = to exepression2 with various permutations of expression1 and expression2.
  
  How do RSOcolumn condition that the content in the Serbian Republic of Krajina? No matter what I put the values in the properties read-only which is always read-only even when the value of the RSK is "other". Any ideas what I am doing wrong

  With it, selected as shown in the second screenshot, click on the button of the mount. Then, eject in the Finder.

• USB key came into read-only mode

  This morning my USB key came into read-only mode and I can't reverse this trend. I just assumed to come from the third party who helped me write on NTFS, but I have a drive HARD Toshiba (NTFS) that works and a USB key that is read-only. I changed the third party software and the same result. I tried the option 'get info' and I still do not see the permissions.

  I tried to format the drive - because it is read-only won't let me not - it. And so on.

  I tried disk utility - no result.

  I need an idea, suggestion, something for it to work.

  When some Flash storage starts to falter, it locks in a read-only mode. So, it might be failing.

  When you try to format the drive, you must select the drive itself in disk utility, not partitions. If that's how you try to reformat, so I guess it's a failure.
