  You are running Internet Explorer by chance? If so, the Flash Player you have is NOT in need of Adobe Reader and Acrobat. If there is a link in the message, use that, rather than assuming that you already have Flash Player. If this does not work, let us know.

  New York requires the fulfillment of its RP-5217-PDF form for all real estate closings.  The form automatically generates a bar code.  My office uses Apple/Mac computers and the barcode appears in all versions of Adobe Reader and Acrobat Pro before DC.  DC watch version the form without a bar code.  The form is available here: https://www.tax.ny.gov/pdf/current_forms/orpts/rp5217.pdf is there a preference setting in DC that I'm missing, or is broken for the most recent version of the Adobe on a Mac?  Help, please.

  A workaround would be to upgrade to XI player for now. I agree this is a major issue and hope Adobe will solve it soon.

  Acrobat Reader is just a viewer/reader PDF; It cannot modify or create PDFs.

  You will need Acrobat Standard or Pro to extract pages from a PDF.

  Jeff, you made me think a little more about it.  I just completely removed Norton security Suite from my computer and the download worked.  I have now reinstalled Norton.  Previously I tried to disable the firewall, but which did not allow the download.  Sorry to you and thank you for evil.

  No, you don't need a LiveCycle Designer to create forms. Acrobat is able to

  I didn't say "creating forms", but "create files". However, the form fields are

  interactive elements in a PDF file that users can fill (text boxes), or select

  (buttons, drop-down lists), or press (buttons).

• conflict between Reader and Acrobat, read aloud

  I installed Reader 9 on a pc. Read aloud worked well. Then install Acrobat test. Now ROL in does not. Try to read the text, it produces sounds without meaning, as if the software became Dyslexic.  Any ideas?

  Installation of Reader and Acrobat is not recommended. If I were you, I remove all traces of both and reinstall the one I want to keep.

  I hope that it will be a pretty simple question to solve if there will be a solution or it be the case that Acrobat and Reader have this conflict and that is like that.

  I will describe my situation and what I am trying to accomplish the first.  I sometimes need to modify forms on PDF files so I need Acrobat installed.  I also need the ability to preview the PDF file in Windows Explorer (I don't have to wait and open Acrobat/Reader whenever I want to check a PDF of sense).  Unfortunately, for some reason, install Acrobat does not give me the preview function.  I need to install Reader for viewing work.  Well now, I need to print PDF forms but with the form fields * only *.  Unfortunately here again player does not have this feature.  I use Acrobat to do this.

  In summary, I need reader to see a preview of a PDF file in Explorer and Acrobat to change forms and print PDF files with the fields of the form only.  So, I use that drive for the preview function; It is never actually opened.  However, Reader takes upon himself to make the default program for PDF files, which means that I have to 'Open with' on every single PDF, I want to open and print.  Acrobat refuses to let be the default program.  If I try to change it to Acrobat, it simply returns to the player.  I have to be able to use Acrobat as a PDF Viewer by default as the player is installed.  I refuse to believe there is not at least a setting somewhere where I can register * force * windows only use the .exe in the Acrobat folder when I try to open a PDF file.  That's what I'll get for now this post gets visibility.

  I FIXED IT!  So first I tried to reinstall Acrobat 9 Pro.  Oddly, this broke the PDF preview.  The preview works through Reader, I didn't, but whatever.  Reinstalled Acrobat 9, has not changed the situation.  I've uninstalled reader XI and installed the X drive instead.  NOW it allows me to choose what I want to manage PDF files when I press this button in the general tab of preferences in Reader.  It was certainly a lot more under the hood than to change a program by default because it took a minute to finish.

  After you open a Times Reader X, preview began working again and now he recognizes my desire to use Acrobat to open a PDF file and works fine.  I don't know if it's a problem with the drive XI or a question seeks to use it and Acrobat 9, but they do not work well together.

Is there any information I can send to the 3rd party support people who tell me this isn't there problem? According to them, that they use that provides the operating system.

  If you use 10 x or later:

  Choose Preferences > General > select default PDF Manager.

  This will call the installer and you can set the default display.

  You can go ahead and install the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Acrobat Reader DC Learn & support.

  Had a little problem just installed adobe acrobat X on a computer and when to open documents text looks like "fuzzy" which is the best way to describe what it looks like.  the letters have no sharp edges more pixelated.  If I open the same document in adobe reader 9, it seems.  I have run all the updates for adobe acrobat X and even performed a repair installation.  still no change.  Here is a screenshot of the problem text above was the software adobe reader 9, the text down was acrobat adobe x

  Did you compare / order the settings in the preferences (Edit/Preferences /Page Display)?  "" There are a couple of settings under Page display that could be the culprit - it is useful to check the "rendering" section that the smooth text option has defined appropriate monitor and I personally smooth linework, smooth images and improve fine lines checked. Hope that helps.

• Digital Signature in Reader and Acrobat behavior

  I created a file PKCS #12 digital ID in Acrobat 7, which included a graphic image of a real signature. When I apply this signature in Acrobat, it shows the image of the signature in addition to the other information I've included in the file. When I apply this signature in the reader but rather than the graphic image it simply places the file name information in block type where the image should be well that it always includes the other information in the file. Anyone know why this would be the case and how I can fix?

  Hi Brian,.

  The image is not part of the file P12, but rather an aspect of personal signature that you created in the Preferences dialog box. To create a signature custom in player appearance:

  • Select it Edit > preferences (Windows) or the Adobe Reader > preferences (Mac) menu item.
  • Select Security in the Categories list box
  • Click the new button in the appearance group box
  • Select the imported graphic on the configure Signature appearance dialog box, and then click the file button
  • Click the Browse button in the select an image dialog box
  • Navigate to and select the image you want to use, and then click the Select button in the open dialog box
  • Click the OK button in the select an image dialog box
  • Provide a title (for example my Signature) and select/deselect the checkboxes for the items you want to display or remove
  • Click OK in the configure Signature appearance dialog
  • Click the OK button in the Preferences dialog box

• Premiere Pro CC 2015 program and preview of weird displays bars and colors at rest

  My first Pro CC 2015 program suddenly displays a weird look bars "glitch" on the screens of the program and preview while screens are at rest.  It looks like this:

  Now, when I actually play the video, those weird bars disappear.  Also, when I scrub through the video bars disappear, but then they immediately come to the time where the screen is at rest.  Anyone know why this is happening?

  Go to the file/project settings/general and change the rendering on "Mercury Playback Engine software only" engine.

  Press OK, you will get a dialog box in which select "remove previews."

  Try these steps and it should work.

  But the Installer MSI for the plugin is on this page. in the line that says «Windows, Browser Plugin»  It is a plugin that is used by XI Acrobat and Adobe Reader XI.

  P.S. Yes, this sentence about the "full Flash Player" on this help page is a bit misleading; This is the plugin version must be installed in addition to the ActiveX version.
