ReadyNAS NV + does not connect after change of IP address
Good afternoon all,
I have a ReadyNAS NV + and connect via a 1 Gbps network and my laptop. Yesterday, I changed the IP address on the NAS and the laptop NIC. Today, I can connect to the NAS via browser to the administration. As soon as I try to connect via CIFS (going to START and type \\192.168.100.10\ - which worked yesterday) it times out after a few minutes. I did a wireshark capture during the connection attempt, there is a multitude of mistakes, including spurious connection attempts and the continuous NAS device to send AS TCP resets to the laptop.
Any ideas?

Thank you for your response. Without a doubt, check for problems of layer 1-3 is always useful in a situation like this. Interestingly, I went in the configuration, to try to see if there was something useless, I could disable (I keep most things off anyway, besides than CIFS and NFS). There was an option to optimize the CIFS for OSX and I disabled it. It started after working for some inexplicable reason and wireshark issues went away. It is plausible, if a cable was bad or had a dubious link that a slight movement of such a cable may automatically correct the problem, accidentally. But I don't think anything inappropriate. In any case, it's working now. Thank you. -Larry

I tried this on my own server and that you couldn't make it work. I ended up just reinstall SRM, keeping the same database - NBD since most of the settings are there anyway. Later, I came across a blog (which I can't find now) that said that VMware supports only a reinstall after changing the IP address.

Pavilion dm3-2020eo does not start after change of RAM
As the topic says my computer does not start after a change of the RAM.
I've updated 2 x 2 GB 2 x 4 GB DDR3 SO - DIMM 204pins Rams. When I start the computer after installing new RAM does nothing, all I get is a black screen.
According to the Spec computers, it should be able to take up to 8 GB of DDR3 RAM.

Motorola surfboard SB5101 modem does not connect after loading Win 7 OS
I had Win XP 32 bit and have now updated for Win 7 64 bit (I have a 64-bit processor) now my computer does not connect to my modem - Motorola Surfboard SB5101 even if styling check here says it should be OK. When I try to connect I get this error: failed to connect #651, modem or other reporting device connection error.
My service provider could not help and said my signal to connect is good. I loaded the new drivers Vista 64 for my modem as it was the only rider to a 64 bit OS that I could find, in the hope that it would help. No chance here no more. Any suggestions?
I guess that you connect the modem to your computer with a USB cable. If your modem has an Ethernet output, use it instead. The Ethernet connection does not require a pilot program and is more reliable than the USB connection.

Purchased in UK/Oz apps does not refresh after changing store in the USA.
I was in the United Kingdom and Oz and had a UK or OZ account and bought apps - they updated very well (although never automatically as promised).
Now, I moved to the United States and updated my account to USA store.
The apps I bought previously refreshes (much).
If I click on an app in the store I, iTunes think I haven't it and install it.
Does anyone have the same problem and the solution? I fed it to Apple.

Before changing countries make sure that you have downloaded and saved all your previous country store purchases. You will not be able to re - download it again once you change of country and it won't be easy to change the country to another once you lose your mode of payment for the old country (such as a waiting period). As long as you have on your computer you'll be fine. You also will be able to update all the apps that you have purchased.

Toshiba Recovery Media Creator does not work, too (it can not find any hard disk recovery partion).
I got in the OEM recovery partition.
I am also able to create a recovery using the Windows tool unit.

Sorry to hear about all this. Unfortunately, you now have a big problem. I don't understand why you didn't create support of recovery before you started to change the factory settings, including to change the structure of the partitions of HARD drive.
Mobile offered with factory settings a structure specific partitions and recovery recorded image is saved on the partition of drive specific and marked with invisible markers. These markers are visible for preinstalled Toshiba recovery media creator tool and when you start the tool can find points of reference and has full access to specific files.
Unfortunately, after changing the original scores structure Toshiba tool cannot find these markers more and is not able to copy files from recovery media recovery. What you need now is the original recovery disk. Using this disk, you can install original recovery image and after doing this, you will have new factory settings.

where did you changed them? In the BIOS or in the Toshiba HW setup?I suggest you go into bios after turning on your machine. You have to hit just F2 Ant then in the search for bios for setting "all default setting" or something with "bios setup defaults" to reset your bios settings.
After that, your computer should start up again.

I tried everything above that all in my X 3 nothing helps. I'll try the forget all network setting option to see if it works. Can anyone think of anything. I do a lot of phone calls from work on my trip and this will impact seriously on my day job if I can't make it work.

Tecra S3 - Intel PROSet/Wireless window does not respond after changing settings
Given that I've updated the driver and the utility Intel PROSet version 9.0.4.17 driver and tool PROSet to version 10.5.0.1 for Intel BG2200 WLAN card to build-in the PROSet tool window freezes every time after that I changed a parameter (for example, by adding a new profile).
Closing the window with ALT - F4 also does not work unless you kill the process in Task Manager.

But in my opinion, there is only a corruption of installation.

You could use additional own program register as a CCleaner. It s a freeware application and it checks the registry for some corruptions.

I just changed the toner. The green light is on, but when something I send to the printer to print, the orange error light. OptiPlex 755 USFF does not start after changing the cmos battery
I have a desktop Optiplex 755 USFF requiring the cmos battery to replace. After the replacement of the computer will not start. It brings up the menu windows start, the sasfe mode, safe mode with network set mode command prompt, security, last know good configuration and boot normally. Any option will bring to the top of the WIndows XP loading screen and then re-boot of the computer right back to the start screen. A big loop. I can get the hard drive to boot in an Optiplex GX280 without problem. I was told of the motherboard needs to be replaced, but I changed the units of the system and the same thing with this hard drive.
I tried to reinstall the operating system and get all the way to "starting windows" and then the blue screen stop error message 0x0000007B (0xF7A10524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) dead. The computer is WIndows XP SP3, 1 GB of ram with 80 GB hard drive. It seems that the Setup program does not recognize the hard drive.
Any help would be appreciated.
After several hours of experimentation, I finally found the correct BIOS settings in order to get the computer to boot. There are three BIOS settings that need to be changed or check settings by default so that it can work. SATA 0 must be activated, SATA operations must be changed from AHCI, ATA and in the modular Bay, by default "far-sighted" should be replaced by the IDE. Save the settings and start the computer to the right upwards.
