Recent locations (under Favorites)

Recent locations in Win 7 does not meet with the recently opened files.  It is always empty, even after I opened and used several files.  How can I fix it so it works again?

    In the meantime, I suggest do a start-up in minimal mode and online virus scan and check if the problem persists.

    I don't know exactly what I did, but my leader (?) recent locations is glued to my office and I can't get it off. It is not a shortcut, it is the recent of real places. Any way to get off this thing? Thank you.

    I would like to customize the Open Dialogue that is used by some programs other than office, like Photoshop. I can't find this information anywhere. I know shell: recent, but I would like some recent places, not recent items.

    To be precise, I'm in the Local Group Policy Editor and am change the setting called 'Items displayed in the Favorites bar', in the Configuration of the user--> Administrative Templates--> Windows--> Windows Explorer components--> Common Open File Dialog.
    If not, there is a registry setting for this, could you please suggest how can I make one? I thought maybe I could make a description of the folder so that I can make shell: RecentPlaces. I don't know if it still works.
    I tried to add one in \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FolderDescriptions\ but did not know exactly how.

  • Where are my recent locations?

    I save documents scanned in PDF format.  The scanner records in a pre-designate folder, I clicked on the final analysis, if that's ok, I click on "save under" and the window that appears used to offer "recent places".  This seems to have disappeared and I have to navigate to "recent places".  Now, I agree that I am of a certain age, but I don't know that I'm not imagine this.  Anyone can guide me please?

    In collaboration with the new button of Firefox in Firefox 4.0 and with the addition of some new features that adds a number of new items to the menu, many of the menu items older have been moved or appear only in certain conditions. It can be a bit confusing until you get used to the changes, but beyond the addition of new menu items for the new features in the future, I don't think that there will be major changes like this for awhile.
