  If this does not work in mode without failure, then disable all extensions and then try to find out who is the cause by allowing both the problem reappears.

  I don't know, but there is no way you can stop these sounds to emerge, they are built better reliability.

  All that you can disable is the sound when a new email arrives. Although I have no reason to make this wide, but if you want, here are the steps:

  Open Thunderbird > go to Edition on the topbar/tasks bar > click Preferences > in the general tab by default, clear the play a sound.

  You said earlier that you only need fax function when you know that a fax is coming through.  If you know that a fax is coming through, you will then know to be able to hit the reply on the printer button.  The auto-answer being set to OFF should allow voice messages to come through and allow the user to manually accept a fax call.
