• Keep the faces when restoring iCloud

  I use Photos on El Capitan 10.11.3 1.3.

  Recently my hard drive died, and I decided to clean install OS X on a new and then manually copy the files from a Time Machine backup needed. I chose to start a new photo library as well and synchronize it with iCloud photo library. When I did it, and waited for all the photos sync, I noticed all the faces, I assigned don't have been restored from iCloud. I know with certainty that they were ON iCloud, because I could (and still can) search and find them on my iPhone. They are not on my Mac right now.

  I have still the old backup from the old hard drive, so I could save the new library (with new photos and faceless) to a different location, copy the old library (without new pictures and the faces) to the new hard drive, assign it to the library of the system and add new photos if necessary.

  My question is, if anyone had a similar problem, and if so how they treated?

  iCloud library stores tags searchable faces, but not thumbnails in albums of faces, as described in this document: use Photos and photo library on several Macs - Apple Support iCloud

  For groups or layers Warp independently of their parent group, add a "+" to the beginning of the name of the layer in PS / HAVE. It's the same select group in the Panel of puppets and by checking the Warp option independently in the properties panel.

  Once a group is warping independently, it will be attached to its origin at the origin of the group from its parent by default.   After indexing my LR catalog for person/face detection, I discovered a lot of 'faces' I wasn't interested. It is useful to know that these faces are actually sub areas of your image that look like faces and are called regions of the face, even if they are not really faces. Here's how you can ignore or delete those parts of the face unwanted.

  First, recognize that when you open the view of people (library > view > o people or press), you will see two different sections. At the top is the section named people who organized some faces with the names of the people you have already named. Below that is the section of people without name, with faces yet to be named.

  Allow me to guide you on the path of people named first, because although it seems obvious, you can't delete / ignore faces in that direction. Then, click on the image of the person named in the nominees section and you will see two new sections. At the top is the section, which includes the faces confirmed images that you have already confirmed to match the name of the person. Below, you will see the similar section, which includes the faces of people who seem similar to the faces you already named. LR provides a proposed name for each face, with a question mark in waiting of your choice.  Moving your cursor over the faces, you will see a check box appears in the lower left corner. Click on this to confirm that the proposed name is correct, if it is. You can also select several images by using the Shift or Ctrl click of mouse button and then click the checkbox to confirm all the.   Nice to see that LR6 now has support for facial recognition and the areas of the face. However, nowhere in the online help is written explicitly what metadata standards are used for the parts of the image.

  I hope that Adobe is a member of the metadata working group, then LR6 uses the metadata standard specified by the MWG for regions of the image.

  In Lightroom itself, parts of the face are recorded in the catalog, and these data are associated with keywords.

  When you export a photo, by unchecking the option to remove the info from the person, the names are also written in the IPTC Extension person and in the regions of JMM too.

  I suggest that you export a photo as shown above and examine its metadata in the Advanced tab of the information of the bridge file dialog box or another metadata tool.

  (1) there is no need to download anything, as the Trinity libraries are already included in JDev 11 g.

  (2) what Frank described, is really just the simple process to configure libraries for your project - you can read about it in the help of JDeveloper (libraries of the Trinity are no different than any other).

• Ignore the faces in the photos for macOS Sierra

  I got a lot of photos with the crowds in the background. The photos app is grateful to all those faces (a few thousand). Is there a quick way to ignore them permanently?

  There is no 'ignore' for people. You can either let sit them in the section "add people" from the album of the people or add them all at once, then select them all and hide. but hiding people also will exclude all the photos of that person to the memory. If offenders are in the background of a photo you want to use in the memories, you can not hide the person.

  If you use brute force and delete the circle with the face detected from a photo, you end up with white, featureless faces thumbnails in the album of the people.  I did this however and clicking the X on the circle of faces to remove the detected face. Then I merged all of the tiles white album a great person 'delete' and hope a bug fix in a future version to get rid of white tiles. Repair of the photo library does not solve it.
