Product name: HP Pavilion DV6-3042tx laptop

    Product number: WY364PA #ABG

    OS: Windows 7 64-bit (pre-installed)

    Error message:

"This PC is not supported by the system recovery discs.

You can continue to recover this system with these discs. »

After you run a memory test, the results suggested replacing the preinstalled hard drive. I bought a new hard drive similar to the pre-installed, but with a capacity of 750 GB rather than 640 GB and has installed successfully. I then use the recovery disks created by the recovery program to install the original OS from the old hard drive to the new hard drive. Windows started to boot normally until a message appears indicating the error message is on top. What should I do now?

    Hello:

I would just do this if you read the MS product key 25 character on the bottom of your laptop...

If you can read the Microsoft windows 7 25-character product key, you can download simple Windows 7 ISO files to burn on a DVD for the version of windows that is installed on your PC, and which is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker on your PC case.

Burn the ISO with the option to burn the ISO on your DVD burning program and burn it at the slowest possible speed that will allow your program. This will create a bootable DVD.

Use 25 characters on the PC product key to activate the installation.

The key will activate a 32 or 64 bit installation.

Then go to the support of the PC and driver page to install the drivers you need.

Link to downloads ISO of W7 is below.

Or you can order a set of factory HP recovery discs and I hope they will work.

    Hi the prey,

    ·         What is the brand and model of the computer?

You should check the settings of the computer BIOS (Basic Input\Output System) to boot from the CD/DVD. Check the manual or the support of the computer Web site for the same.

Note: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly.

I am trying to open samsung pc studio and it givesme an error message and windows then told me my flash drive is not compatible with my system... this after I downloaded the flash player im told is compatible with my system

In general, when the desktop software uses Flash Player, it's because they're incorporating an Internet Explorer window in the application.  If you do not have Flash Player for Internet Explorer (aka. the ActiveX Flash Player) installed, then the desktop app is not going to work.

    Then, launch Internet Explorer

    Go here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Follow the prompts and then relaunch the application after you have completed the installation in Internet Explorer.  I hope this sorts for you.

  • Satellite A500 - video/dvd player is not compatible with Windows 10

After having recently updated of my laptop for windows 10 I discovered that the dvd player does not work. A message is displayed informing that the player is not compatible with this version of windows. A scan using Norton suggests dvd will not work because it needs to be configured.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Obviously, Toshiba DVD playback application that is preinstalled on this Satellite A500 model is not compatible with the system Windows 10.

In this case this software will not properly work after the upgrade to win 10 and I guess you have to remove the system Win 10.

Unfortunately, the Satellite A500 is not listed as Win 10 portable computers and so I don't think you will get an update to this software for DVD playback.

Here is a list of models supported for upgrading to Windows 10
