Recovery folder deleted

I accidentally deleted the "Recovery" folder on drive d of recovery.

I run backup just after getting the laptop (it is a dv7 with Windows 7 Home) and then updated my OS to Windows 7 Pro. I tried to save the pc today and thought that after the upgrade, I would need a new recovery folder, so I deleted the current.

It was a mistake... Can someone tell me how archived/recover/re-recreate it?

Bill

Best option would be to call HP toll-free 1 800-474-6836 or contact Email/Chat support from the link below, to get the ordered discs:

  • New to Thunderbird, & my 'projects' and 'Sent' folders disappeared (NOT in the folder delete) - how I get back them?

When I started using Thunderbird, created automatically to the Inbox, drafts, sent, and deleted files. Now I have that Inbox and deleted as the currents of air and sent are no longer displayed. They don't seem to be in the folder deleted, no more.

Suggestions on how to get to see my project items and sent?

I'm guessing that your account is IMAP and the original folders were eventually replaced by those synced from the server. It may be that they were finally populated with mail. Thunderbird tends to show only records after they serve the projects, releases etc.

The click of the future, not the account in the folders pane and choose Subscribe all folders should disappear.

    Also
Right-click the account still once, select settings.
Select the server settings and the Advanced button. Enable or disable the "show only subscribed folders" (in the case of yahoo, there is a yconversations file that is displayed if the option is disabled)

  • Increases the size of the "HDD Recovery" folder on the partition "D".

I am the owner of laptop Toshiba Satellite, recently, I noticed that my D: drive (unused) is saturated and after careful analysis I realized that the "HDDRecovery" file size is > 200 GB.

I don't want to remove the file or remove image files inside that I need the functionality of recovery, but I have not a clue how to handle the recovery process to decrease the volume.

Do you have an idea how this issue?

    Wojtek

    Hello

It seems strange to me that the size of the HDD recovery folder would increase up to 200 GB continuously. Probably for laptop computer stores files backup automatically in this folder, but I m not very well why

However, I recommend you to create a recovery media (recovery disk) using the Toshiba
Recovery media creator (this software pre-installed on the Toshiba laptop).

The use of disk recovery (or USB key recovery) would fix the laptop back to the factory and even if settings you should remove the folder in HARD drive recovery or the entire partition, this partition, and these files would be created again.

Hope that this information could be useful for you.

What I need is to know if its possible and if you can you explain to me how its done.

I searched the Web for an answer for tha last 4 hours and I thank you

    > Many people say that it is possible using the HDD Recovery folder that I have on my D drive and it s 13.5 GB

A lot of people said you can use HARD drive recovery in order to put the system back to factory settings.
This true s but this is possible ONLY if the system has not been modified.

In case you have changed the system, you could go back to the factory settings using the recovery disk!
Recovery disk may be created using the preinstalled tool called Toshiba Recovery Media Creator.

Have you created this disc in the past!

  • How do I use the recovery folder on the HDD repair Satellite A300

    Hi all

I have Toshiba satellite A300, model No. PSAGCE-00C006AR,.

My operating system is windows Vista Home premium.
Recently, I was working on battery when my system is closed.

When I connected charger and power he found that the display shows the message (Please wait) forever and does not allow me to enter my password.
When I press the power button to shut down my PC and reboot in safe mode, I can enter my password and connect to my PC, and however, when I connect to the PC shows only black screen with pointer and nothing more.
Start button does not respond, the icon my computer or all other icons do not appear on the desktop.

I did the following steps in trying to repair my PC: -.

1 I restarted my PC in safe mode with command prompt, you try to run chkdsk/r, however I got the error message that the disk is protected and that I can demand that it runs at the next reboot. I typed Y and restart, but chkdsk does not work although I restarted 2 times.
2 I restarted my PC and select advanced option then startup repair problem, then I got the message that no problem was found.
3 I also tried Toshiba HDD recovery, but could not find any folder recovery although there is about 1.5 GB partition that has everything.
4 I tried the windows complete PC Restore, but I received a message that (a valid backup not found)
5 that my PC is come without recovery CD, so I borrowed an and restart my PC from the CD and repair selected... etc, however I got the error message that the disk is write-protected once again.

Any advice how I can get my rear work system will be appreciated and how do I use the recovery folder on the HARD disk and avoid the write-protected message?

    Hello

Of course I don't know what the problem is exactly, but I'm confused on a few other facts.
The fact is that Toshiba has created the reminder that informs the user on the first day that Toshiba doesn't offer the recovery DVDs and it is recommended to create such a DVD support immediately.

Question about you: you created this recovery media?

The Toshiba recovery image has nothing to do with the WinRE Vista 1.5 GB partition. Partition WinRE Vista feature. On new models of laptops Toshiba recovery image is saved in folder HDDRecovery on the second partition. If touch you didn t and if you didn t change anything with partitions you should be able to install Vista using this recovery image.

After your computer is turned on press F8 and choose the first option (if available) computer repair. You can enter the Vista System Recovery Options. The last option should be Toshiba Recovery. If you didn t change anything, this option will be available.

  • Outlook Express 6 - recently emptied my folder deleted items, but now I can not remove any messages in my Inbox

For my sins, I always use Outlook Express 6 for my e-mail personal. Recently, I've erased my deleted items folder, but now I can not remove any messages in my Inbox. Any ideas?

    Thank you

Outlook Express has never reduced the file size of the file folder deleted during the clearance of the output folder. Instead he left a lot of dead space that has not been used for something beyond too much space.

The good news is that if you simply, locate the Outlook Express mail storage folder and delete the Deleted.dbx file, Outlook Express will recreate a new vacuum the next time it starts up.

    1. Open Outlook Express and access Tools, Options of dialogue,Maintenance tab, click store folder and copy the location. Close Outlook Express.
    2. Click on Start, run or the Windows key + R to rap then paste in the location previously copied and press on . The storage folder should open.
    3. Remove or rename the Deleted.dbx file.
    4. Close the file, and then restart Outlook Express.

That should solve your problems of deletion. You can also run a Compact on your other files .dbx tabmaintenance Tools, Options dialog box.

  • When I try to delete the message in the "Deleted items" folder I get an error message "some items in the folder"Deleted items"could not be deleted." year error has occurred. Any Suggestions?

I get to see all the messages that I deleted in my "Deleted items" folder and when I try to delete the message in this folder I get an error message 'some items in the folder "Deleted items" can not be deleted.' an error has occurred.  Also when I try to delete my Inbox it won't move message from 'deleted items '.  Any suggestions?

This is probably due to a mismatch between what is in the message store and which think that the database is in the message store.  Try to compact and repair the database and see if that fixes the problem.  See www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/

  • Is there a way to restore a SINGLE FILE in a folder deleted from the Recycle Bin?

Suppose that you remove all the contents of a folder that contains the files and subfolders. If you open the Recycle Bin, you can see a list of deleted files and subfolders, but there is no way to see the files in the subfolders. So, if you want to restore ONLY a single file in a subfolder of the deleted, it seems there is no way to do it. You can only restore the entire sub.folder, which is not necessarily what you want, especially if you filled out the application parent with other files and subfolders after the deletion.

Is there a way to restore a SINGLE FILE in a folder deleted from the Recycle Bin?

Another method would be to drag the folder to the Recycle Bin on your desktop. Open it and recover the files required - re - delete the folder.

@ Palcouk... you can actually retrieve files deleted, even when they are home to recycle the locker to restore a previous version of the folder parent; These come available restore points so not always guaranteed, but he made the most of the time if action is taken quickly enough. :) Ric

  • Documents folder deleted in error and start menu link does not work again

In the folder tree pane (Vista Home Premium) it appeared that I had inadvertently copied double my completed application documents in the foledr of downloads, as it seemed that I had two copies of everything: waste of disk space. So I deleted the subfolder Documents of the record of downloads... and the main Documents folder are missing too! It's all the same thing. I don't understand why. But anyway. It wasn't in the Trash because there had been too much to go over there, so it is all definitely eliminated and lost: more than 8 GB :-(

Therefore, the Documents link in the start bar stopped working. Even after that I created a new Documents folder in the same location as the original, the link on the start menu does not; When I click on properties for the link, the path is empty, and I can't find a way to save a path to it. Any ideas?

The Document folder is a special folder that will be created in a special way.  Here is the procedure to correct a record that has not been created properly: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/90705-personal-user-shell-folders.html.

Here is another article on how to restore a missing (like Documents) under Vista personal user folder: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/148461-personal-user-folder-restore-missing-folder.html.

Between these articles, I think you should be able to solve your problem in one way or another.

    =================================================================================================================

In case you're still interested in trying to retrieve the dossier of Documents initially lost, here are some options you can try:

If you have Vista Business, Vista Ultimate or Vista Enterprise, you can be lucky.  They have so-called saves shadow copies, which are deleted or modified files that can be recovered in case changes/deletions made by mistake.  http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/Windows-Vista/features/shadow-copy.aspx more information about how to use this feature to: http://blogs.techrepublic.com.com/howdoi/?p=145.

If you have Vista Basic or Premium of Vista, shadow copies is not available; However, there is an alternative that is free and the shadow copies feature called Shadow Explorer. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/recover-files-with-shadow-copies-on-any-version-of-windows-vista/.  Although it will not help you this time, it could very well save you in case this happens again.

In case this does not work (not all files are available through shadow - it occurs periodically), here are some additional free recovery programs that might help:

    http://www.SnapFiles.com/freeware/system/fwdatarecovery.html (first try Recuva)

http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/DiskDigger.html (try this second - if this fails too, then the chances of recovery are very slim, but we invite you to try other programs if you want)

    http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/easusdfr.html

    http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/restoration.html

    http://www.SnapFiles.com/downloads/Recuva/dlrecuva.html

    http://www.SoftPerfect.com/products/FileRecovery/

    http://techpaul.WordPress.com/2008/06/23/how-to-recover-your-lost-files/

The files are not really deleted until they are crushed (although they are no longer available through conventional methods).  If you decide to try these recovery programs, you should stop using your drive hard immediately in order not to replace the data that you are trying to recover.  He slave on another PC and launch the recovery of this PC.  Even now you have definitely lost some of them if you use the same PC.  If you can not do this (slave on another PC), you run the risk of overwriting the data with every action you do on the PC (but you may still be able to recover some or most or even all files - it's a matter of luck).

Only you can decide if the data is important enough to take the PC to an expert data recovery to recover files (they will have better programs and hardware to do that none of us do, and I've provided above).  Do NOT go to the Geek Squad or one of these centers of store-, they generally don't know what they are doing - it take for expert data recovery.  It will cost you a little and they generally offer no guarantees.  The decision is yours.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

I just assumed that I could remove / delete the folder and if it was necessary for backup reasons, I could get it back to a band. When removing it destroys the database connection / status and file recovery did not work :(

    Help, please!

If you look at your parameter control_files, you will find that it specifies two files. Both must be present and synchronized. If you create your DB with DBCA, you get one in your data base area and the other in your FRA. Sensible? Well, maybe. I think the idea is that the FRA is supposed to be a file system independent of the database region, you can clean one and the other will survive. As you have proven by mistake!
Either way, DBCA will also put a copy of the records online in the FRA, you might want to
    Select * from v$ logfile;
    and see what you get.

That's all for me: it is fast approaching time of the beer in my time zone...

  • iCloud mobile documents folder deleted

I am a MAC user, have my MBP PRO synchronized to iCloud entirely.  iCloud is my base repository.

I managed to delete the file/folder called com-apple-CouldDocs.  Fortunately I've recovered from the Recycle Bin as well as documents are safely on my local drive.  Phew.

I have consulted library and just hoped things would drag my com-apple-CouldDocs Mobile Documents in the folder, but I can't access this folder as a record of the normal finder.

If I try to rename the folder Documents Mobile (and then rename my copy of the Mobile Document > com-apple-CouldDoc) then the folder reappears just on finder, OSX recreates it as some file system type essential.

So I can't copy my com-apple-CouldDoc to ICloud.

If I have access to iCloud sidebar folder is completely empty

    Any tips?

Simply drag all the files from my backup copy in the new "empty folder iCloud and and gradually let it resync the 50 GB of data.

Lesson: Do not access LIBRARY when you have no idea what you are doing!  Stick to the GUI of MAC

It appears by dragging in the iCloud folder are the best choice.
