• (Redirected) Alienware Alpha - monitor or TV

  I'm looking for comments and suggestions. I just bought 2 i5 Alienware Alpha for my 2 boys. They have screens VGA, that they can use, or they can use their HDMI TV. If we have to abandon the VGA they finally to have replacements for TV. Or, we leave only TVs and get new monitors or TVs for the Alienware.

  Someone at - it suggestions? (Cannot afford monitors suggested because of the purchase of the consoles).

• (Redirected) Alienware Alpha delivered games missing

  Hi all I bought an Alienware Alpha back in June however I do not have to receive the games delivered with the system when I added my Steam login to the first installation.  I suspect that the machine has been used by the shop staff JBHiFi I bought it and they may have bought the keys innappropriately.  How can I correct this situation?

  Alienware Alpha new system update 3.0.6.20 is available - download and update stop.

  I closed the download system update is running and download the new OS and the system stops.

• (Redirected) Alienware alpha bugs

  I recently purchased the Alienware alpha;

  I noticed a few bugs with the user of Alpha interface I'd like to be addressed.

  First of all, there is no option to specify a user name "" when choosing a WiFi network.  Maximum space to provide a password for the user.  It forces me to use the windows interface to connect to the network and then start steam through the Office for windows 8 (completely defeat the purpose of the UI alpha)

  Secondly, there are many problems with a wired xbox 360 controller iin switching between UI alpha and the situation as a whole steam UI.  Entering the steam UI after the launch through the alpha of the user interface with a wire of the selection process controller goes crazy and appears as if the game keys or the joystick is pressed constantly. Therefore, it is not possible to make all the selections through the intention.

  Third, (my biggest problem with the UI alpha).  When you enter the desktop mode, I have to select my user account (choice between the 'Alpha' usergroup and my admin user), and then enter a password. Instead, it would be more convenient when you select the desktop through the user interface of alpha mode, the system should go directly to the desktop.

  I appreciate that my comments go to the alpha development team to address these deficiencies.  Thank you

• Alienware Alpha - i7 - flashing yellow - recurrence

  Hi all

  I wonder if I'll just to have to send it back, but I had problems with the Alpha under and turned off for awhile now. Every now and again he just decides not to run away and instead flashing the yellow light on and off.

  I tried the things:

  -Power Drain (when you unplug everything, press and hold the power button for a minute etc.)

  -Disconnect the power from the grid and the unit and its departure for a day

  -Try a different wall jack

  -Reinstallation of the memory and HARD drive

  -Replacement of the memory and HARD drive

  -Check all internal connections were healthy

  Various things have sometimes fixed but now it is currently unusable after that being left unplugged for a few days. 5 years is impatient to play on steam!

  I bought this for my son for Christmas. Anyway, I ended up buying him the Xbox 1 as well. I want to hang the Alpha of its flat screen in his room, but also to a Dell 24 "monitor. The problem is that I see only 1 out HDMI on the Alpha.

  How connect both its flat screen and its monitor from the computer to the top at the same time? Some research shows that they offer a Powered HDMI splitter. Is this my only option?

  In addition, the monitor has a DVI connection normal so I need to get out of the Alpha HDMI splitter and 1 side brackets to the TV Samsumg, the other on its screen with a DVI HDMI converter.

  Is this really the only, it was this going to work? Can I connect through a USB port?

• (Redirected) GPU Alpha Alienware fan stopped.

  Hello, ive been experiencing this problem for quite a while already, sometimes when I start my pc, it displays an error message saying that the gpu fan could not launch, then I run diagnostics and nothing seems to have a problem, restart the pc and no more error and everything beautiful.

  Now this trick no longer works, and the gpu fan does not start going which makes the turbojet go crazy (noisy one that never normally begins) and diagnosis displays the following:

  Service number:ADMIN NOTE: maintain the label removed by privacy policy >, BIOS A04

  Error code: 2000-0511

  Validation: 90731

  My pc is an Alienware alpha Intel (r) Core i5-4590 t CPU @ 2.00 GHz model with BIOS A02 ASM100

  How can I fix this without having to send back for warranty? I live in the Honduras and bought the pc in the United States, it's really difficult if not almost impossible for me to send the product back for warranty which expired on March 5, 2016.

  Hi, I was watching and thinking about buying an alienware alpha, but I had a few 1 questions that I can't find any info on. So could someone please help.

  1st question and that is my main I need to know, can I run Ventrilo on it and play all the games at the same time or would I still need a laptop to use ventrilo to chat with friends?

  2nd video of question 1, I saw said that I could run non-steam game, is it true? I will mainly play steam games, but I want to just make sure I could still run games as League of legends and perhaps The Elder Scrolls online because he is going to play soon from what I've heard.

  3rd question and sorry about that one, but I don't know much about computers so I need to ask. I see that $700 and $850 versions have higher processors makes this mean for games? Also they have more big disks hard, it's just the space right storage? Sorry for this question, that I just want to ask before you buy

• All my Airport extended expresses abandoned their Wi - Fi connection to my base station can the airport extreme.  In other words, the light goes from green to yellow flashing and I can't reconnect.  All ideas

  All my express airport extended (one for music, one for the printer and one to extend range) lost their connection at the same time.  In other words, they all went from green to yellow flashing.  I was not able to reconnect.  Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

  Your first step is always power off the entire network... what... and then restart in good order.

  Modem... Wait 2 min

  Main router... Wait 2 min

  Extenders... Wait 2 minutes.

  Printer and other clients... wait that see everything toward the top.

  If this fails, then you need to find how the network is down... Connect the modem to the computer by ethernet... didn't you internet... If Yes... then try to the main router... If so, try again the next step... When you find the scene of the breakdown, reset it to factory and redo the configuration.

• Rebel T3 does not take pictures, bright yellow flashing, please help!

  My Rebel T3 take pictures.  A yellow light flashes to before, but nothing else happens.  I tried to replace the battery, mode change, but it will not still images.  It was working fine yesterday.

  I actually tried who.  And this is going to sound like I'm stupid, but I found my problem.
  Somehow I must have hit the timer setting.  I've never used the timer before, so I didn't know it's the yellow flash light.  And I'm not just sitting here waiting to see if it would take a picture.

  Anyway... problem solved.  I feel stupid, but put the solution here just in case anyone has the same problem! Laughing out loud

• Random 1 second yellow flashes between elements after recording video project on computer

  I use Windows Movie Maker 2.6 (one that does not come with Windows Live Essentials), and I can edit the clips and other very well. I followed the steps correct to record video, but a movie, I get random yellow flashes 1 second that interrupts the film; It is not pleasant. I understand that this can happen between the first and the second clip due to the different size and other, but the clip of third and fourth are the same exact information, and a flash appears between the two clips anyway. When I preview the movie before you save it, there is no sign of it; It is only after I saved the film for my computer and I play on Windows Media Player, so I know that this is an incident regarding the recording of the film.

  Curiously, I saved another video and is not the case.
  I downloaded my videos on YouTube, so my friends can watch and criticize how I made the video so far. I'll post the links so that they can be viewed and hopefully give me more specific answers, since I have no idea what could cause this.

• Alienware Alpha refuses to play Star Wars Battlefront 3

  Not too sure what else to try...

  Bought a copy of PC of Star Wars Battlefront 3 of Dell.

  He arrived, installed original, installed the game, but the game would not load (game seems to be gray out originally). Installed on my Media Center PC Battlefront (i5 / 16 GB-RAM/GTX770SLI) and it will start and play without any problems.

  Went back to my Alienware Alpha (i5 / 8GB - RAM)... Upgrade to Windows 10... still has not loaded...

  Experience of GeForce uninstalled and reinstalled and updated drivers for the last... Still has not loaded...

  Updated RAM on my Alienware Alpha from 8 GB to 16 GB (ordered through Dell... shot in the dark)...  Still load the game...

  GeForce experience sees the game, but is unable to optimize or restart...

  Account Origin see the game... but it's greyed out on the Alpha...

  Windows sees the game as being "set up" and is unable to launch...

  Any help or suggestions here? I called the origin, with me by checking the settings of my account and some basic PC troubleshooting... Unable to find a problem...

  Reference called Dell... Transferred 3 times and told me its probably a "software problem" and that maybe they could help me if I paid them $129.00?... What is rather low because I bought the system, game and RAM directly through Dell...

  I've seen countless comments, posts and videos of people with Alphas playing this game...

  Anyone have any ideas on what I can try?
