    When I first learned Flash (oh, so long), I learned that unused items in your library would affect the the file size of your swf file. Is this true?

    unused items do not affect the size of the swf file at least export for actionscript is checked.  in this situation, they affect the size of SWF that it is used or not.

  • Size of the SWF file and Rollover text problem

    Hello and thanks in advance for any input.

    Two problems...

    1. size of the SWF file

    I did a small enough (at least in my eyes its small) flash site. However, when even it is really not much content, the swf file is already 2.4 mb and I have yet to finish. It loads fine on my internet speed, but im worried general users with slower internet connection. Y at - it something that I should get the size of the file (if all goes well without comprimising quality).

    2 text buttons (video Clips)

    Function rollover (event listener) for MCs containing the text continues to run when the mouse is over the button. That is he is not treating the text as a button box, his processor only as a button, while you ride between a letter and another, the reversal is re - define and restarts.

    The Swf file is here.

    And the FLA is here. * Edit *-how can I get this fla to you guys? This doesn't seem to work when I try to download the file - it gives just a fla.txt file?

    Thank you.

    Zack.

  • Reduction in size of the swf by looping is not songs?

    Hello

    I created a file that has several songs and these songs are 3 minutes in length each. Currently, these songs are looped forever. If I do not loop, which would decrease the size of the file?

    Playing the song several times should not affect filesize. Planting of the song file into the SWF instead of streaming it will have an impact considerably the size of the file.

  • How can I change the size of the swf file after loadmovie?

    Hi all.

    Now I'm a framework has a button inside. Once I click it loads a swf file

    flashmov.onRelease = function()
    {
    flash_mc.loadMovie ("animation.swf");
    }

    but I have problem that is my animation.swf is much too large (800 x 550)

    and my flash_mc has nothing inside...

    I want to resize 480 x 330. How can I do?

    Thank you

    You expect that the file is loaded before you can do something with it.  Instead of using loadMovie, use the MovieClipLoader class with its loadClip and addListener methods.  In this way, you can use the listener to determine when the file is loaded and ready to be manipulated.  If you are looking for the MovieClipLoader.addListener method in the help documents there is a complete example that you should be able to adapt to your scenario.

  • How to reduce the size of the SWF to a file imported from After Effects

    Hello!

    I'm doing a banner web for an internet marketing company, so he has very specific requirements. We did it in After Effects, and I was able to export it to an FLV file and import to Flash very well with the SWF file. Now, I need to make the significantly smaller SWF file.

    At the moment it is 2.5 MB and we can only present a 40K SWF size. It is even possible to reduce the size so much and still keep intregrity of the animation?

    I'm more familiar with Flash than After Effects, but he can play with the settings, etc. If someone can tell me what to try.

    Thank you very much for your help!

    is the flv almost 2.5 MB? If so, your only option to significantly reduce swf size is to load the FLV dynamically (which is not usually allowed with banner ads).

  • Numbers: Removal of multimedia content don't effect size of the document file.

    Hello people,

    right now I'm working on a very simple table in the Pages.

    I have reproduced a file already created by my colleague, because the page layout and all formulations must remain the same for the work that I do. The size of this document was large 1 GB (probably because there was a lot of images inside).

    But after you remove all of the content, the size is always that great! I don't have more than two empty tables with just a small amount of text inside! It's as if the media is not really gone! I also tried to reduce the size of my project with this feature, but all he said was: cannot reduce the size of the project, it is already optimal!

    So I tried to work around the problem and just copied and pasted my table to a new file. And then he gave me a 98 k file size!

    But I had to resize all my cells and everything, so this work around is not really effective and functional for me.

    I don't understand why the deletion of all media in my file doesn't effect size of my document. Am I missing something?

    I really need to create a large number of these documents and this is something that really bothers me.

    Can someone help me please. Is it possible to really get rid of multimedia content? as to delete the cache, or I don't know.

    Thanks a lot in advance for any kind of help!

    Pages v5.6.2. OS X 10.11.6.

    The key to changes in dynamic document is AutoSave must be activated, which happens only if the document is opened, edited and saved at least once in iCloud drive, or your home account on the boot drive.

    If the above were true, then your removal of images would have a corresponding reduction in the size of the document, as seen by the intermediary to read the information. I tested here with my own images, and the gradual reduction of size of the document is measurable with each image removed by the intermediary to read the information.

    One of the table cells still have images in their midst? Was it originally a Word document with embedded in Excel table data?

  • Captivate 6 graphic bug in the SWF file

    Hello

    I use 6 Captivate and have a problem with the SWF file. There are some glitches in the video. They are a bit like after images of the contents of the previous slide.

    bug.JPG

    (Here the white lines should not appear).

    Curiously, in the preview of these lines do not appear.

    I already tried a lot of things like the use of the highest quality for slides (24-bit) or increasing the frames per second, but nothing seems to help.

    Does anyone know a solution?

    Kind regards

    Rini

    Hello and welcome,

    You can specify the exact version number (help, Captivate)?

    Try turning off all compression under preferences, project, SWF size and quality settings. And what publication check the option 'Force republication... '. »

    PS increasing the pace will not help in this case.

  • Help! Size of the SWF become bigger after an AE project

    Help!

    I did a project EA, that make up a SWF and a WMF file

    When the project is set up, I found the file size of the SWF become bigger than the original

    What is the worse: the content of the SWF file was changed, and some content was gone

    Although changing the SWF status read-only can solve this problem

    However, I would like to know what has happened, and what happens if this happens on WMV?

    THX A LOT!

    If the problem is that a SWF file that you use as source footage has been changed, it is because you have the preference enabled to write XMP metadata to imported files. Which turns off. (It is disabled by default in the current versions of After Effects.) This preference is in the Media & Disk Cache preferences category.

  • How to get the coordinates and the size of the swf to scale components

    I use the Web (I put it to the size of the entire screen) to frame a swfloader that loads a swf file with the width and height set to 100%. This swf has a movieclip. How can I get the exact coordinates of his position and its size after the scaling in Flex?

    In Flash CS4, the movielip a x = 40, y = 700. In Flex, the swf file is set to 100% scale, but when I get the x value of this movieclip, it is always 40. I try to get the scale of the x axis ratio using scaleX of swf. But his 1, pretty weird.

    How can I get the correct coordinates of the movieclip?

    The coordinates are usually compared to something.  X is relative to the parent.

    LocalToGlobal and globalToLocal convert coordinated areas.

    You can go to transform.pixelBounds and

    transform.concatenatedMatrix.

  • Question about the size of the swf

    Hi all, I had a small question. I have some old .swf files that I made a long time ago, but I do not have the .flas. I have trouble finding the size (height and width) of these files. I want to use the swfobject to embed, is there a way to find out just how big, or is it possible to use swfobject without declaring a size?

    Thanks for any advice.

    If you double-click the SWF file to open it, it should open in the Flash Player to its actual size.  SO, you should be able to get a screenshot of it and then determine the size of the crop of this screenshot.

  • I want to see the full size of the .swf on the slide of the view, not only the thumbnail edition

    Hello!

    I have a very nice PPT I created and I tried everthing to bring the files to get the best quality = not easy.

    What I found to be the best thing is to publish the PPT file to the presenter and then you have a .swf for each slide that looks really clear!

    The problem is, I want to use these images as my slide layouts, and then add a few things to Captivate from there. Problem - the .swf files appear in the really small thumbnail view in the editing of Catpivate mode! How can I see them in their real size, as how view you a JPG or something in Captivate.

    Thank you!!

  • Change the size of the SWF/FLA

    I wonder if it is possible to change the size of a flash application when running?

    I know that I can to scale the SWF with HTML/JavaScript, but I do not speak here of scale. I want to change the actual size only it visually enlarge. Let's say my SWF is 400 x 300 pixels. When running, I want to change it to 500 x 400. All the elements in the SWF file (buttons or other) should remain the same size. This is the scene itself that needs to change.

    Is this possible and if so; How can I do?

    Yes and no.

    No, you can't dynamically change the size of the stage.

    Yes, you can view your SWF file in any size space.

    What do I mean?

    When you embed the object in the HTML code, you can set the width and height to whatever size you want, regardless of the size of the stage.  You can even change these settings dynamically with Javascript if you want to.

    Then, in the SWF file (you can do it in the embed as well) - you set the ScaleMode to "noScale" and the attribute align 'C' and you have the effect of a larger scene, without changing.

    How to change the ScaleMode and align, you ask?

    If you use Actionscript 2, in the first frame actions:

    Stage.scaleMode = "noScale";

    Stage.Align = "C";

    The Stage.align has many other parameters (and 'C' is not documented as an option).  'C' centers completely from the scene.  Then there is "TL" - TopLeft, 'T', 'TR', 'L', 'R', 'BL', 'B', 'BR' one for each of the 9 spots on the grid.

    If you use Actionscript 3:

    stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.NO_SCALE;

    AS3 automatically sets the attribute align C for you.  If you want to change it:

    internship. Align = StageAlign.TOP_LEFT; (or one of the others)
