  According to the description of the problem your printer does not print text on paper as there is no ink. The question might be if there is no ink in the cartridges. Printing problems can be caused by cables that are not properly connected, corrupt, drivers, incompatible drivers, the printer settings, missing updates and problems with your printer.

  I suggest to check first the ink in the cartridges, and if possible, try to change with a new and see if it makes a difference. You can also try to clean the ink cartridge nozzles.

  Look at the area where the book comes out the tray paper. Maybe try a vacuum cleaner to do that all of the small pieces are removed.

  You do not know if this unit has a duplex unit, but look at the back of the printer and see if there are two tabs. If so, press them and remove the duplex unit and make sure all the small pieces is deleted.

  I tried this on my purchased v515W recently, but I guess that it also works with the v515 and other Dell all-in-one printers. I recently bought the v515W for my wife who is a user of Mac, only to find out that Dell has no Mac drivers for it. Somewhere on the Dell site, they have a typo at some point that the Mac drivers are available for the printer. I used my Windows machine to install the printer. After much trial and error, I finally managed to get the printer to work from a Mac wireless.

  1. Configure the printer from a Windows machine
  2. Open System Preferences-> Print & Fax
  3. Click the + to add a printer
  4. Hello will now detect the v515W by the name of the printer
