  • How to reset my windows starter 7 asus laptop to its original state

Hi my name is Bobby, I wasn't able to get the disk to reset my laptop. Can I reset my laptop to its original state by simply using the product key? I am also enrolled in my laptop when I bought it.

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

  • I think I accidentally restore my computer to its original factory condition and now I can't access my files!

    I have a windows vista

Please elaborate on what you were doing. If, indeed, you have restored the computer to the State as delivered, your user files and applications that you have installed since it was first set up have been removed. They are not simply inaccessible, they are gone. There are various files and partition recovery tools, you could try; However, the disc was heavily rewritten by the restore process. The chances of success are slim.

  • Factory reset for Windows 7 will restore my BIOS too to its original state when I bought it?

I now use Windows 8, I bought my laptop in JULY 2012. It came with Windows Home Premium and I have the recovery disc for Windows 7. I intend to factory reset my laptop because of my disappointment with Windows 8 and supprt for Windows 8.

I want to know if the "factory Reset" will restore the BIOS of the laptop in its original state. I mean I have my BIOS set to update to the latest. I want to return to its former State. How long is the factory reset also takes? I own edition HP DV6T Quad 7000 with 32 GB WSSD.

Intel RST does not have anything, my HARD drive is shown in non-RAID and there is no way I can change it to RAID. My last option is to try the Factory Reset and see if it helps. I'm sure that TSRI will work if my BIOS is restored to the original condition with everything so it starts to detect my HDD in RAID.

    Hello

A factory image recovery will not affect the version of BIOS or current settings. The duration during which the factory image recovery takes wil depend on what type of recovery media that you have. If you have a usb recovery media that it will probably wait maybe thiry minutes. Use you a recovery value disk while recovery might take a few hours to complete.

Once you start the recovery not to touch the keyboard.

Make sure that the wireless is turned on before commit you to the recovery.

  • Need help to restore my laptop to the original operating system is

I accidentally installed 3 different operating systems on my laptop on a hard drive external that I had saved them on because we have hacked a year ago on 2 of the 3 calculates so my son saved our systems for us in case it happened again. Now, I have all 3 on my laptop and need to restore my laptop to its original files. I have a mixture of things here on my PC and my husbands xp and my laptop vista. Help. I don't know if the other 2 systems can be saved on my external hard drive or not. I have my product key for 3 computers.

    You are welcome.

As you never have a drive to buy, this is how you should be able to reinstall Vista on a Toshiba using the recovery partition:

    https://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/bulletinDetail.jsp?soID=2737864&PF=true

You can see if it works but it is probably destroyed by installing these backup Images.

If it is not available, try and get the Toshiba recovery disks or borrow a DVD of Microsoft Vista according to my first answer.

    See you soon.

    Hello JeanSteel,

I suggest try to perform a system restore to a time before having this problem.  If you want to restore your computer to factory settings, I would suggest contacting the manufacturer on the guidelines for this.  Also, be sure to back up your data before doing this.  Here is a link to perform a system restore.  Please let us know status.

  • I had to do a system restore on my PC, which reformats the hard drive and he returned to factory State, and I lost all of my emails from OE and contacts. No way to get them back?

My computer crashed and the system recovery was the only option.  I know this reformats the hard drive and actually returned the PC to factory State, but I cannot now access all of my old emails and contacts on OE.  I managed to configure OE once again, so I can receive messages via my site, but really need to come back to the 'old'.  Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Two points:

Suggestions 1. see Bruce Hagen, but it is highly unlikely that you can get everything back. When you perform a system recovery, you lose everything that was on the disc.

    2. it is late to tell you this, but like you apparenly had no backup on external media, you're playing with fire. For the future, you can read this article I wrote: "how to return your computer regularly upward and reliable" to http://www.computorcompanion.com/LPMArticle.asp?ID=314

I need to use the recovery partition to restore my OS to its original state.  I'm getting crashes (invaded by "dumprep.exe" CPU cycles) and an occasional BSOD.

What brand is your computer?  Some computer manufacturers, including Dell and HP, have a recovery partition on the hard drive of the new computers.  By pressing a special key combination when the computer starts, you can use the recovery partition to restore the computer to the way it was when it was new.  Looking for a message about the recovery options on the first screen that appears.

  • I restored my laptop to its factory settings, but now it's slower that ever - why is this?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2.

It started 2 weeks ago - I had the legendary 'Black Screen of Death"and advises him to restore my laptop to its factory settings (all my documents etc are saved on an external hard drive). After the restoration, this is when the problems started. My computer is very slow. I know that's not the internet, I tried my sister's cell phone and the internet works fine.

How to get Vista recovery Media or the Vista recovery Partition on your computer back to factory settings.

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

Ask them if you can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

They will tell you how to do this.

Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • Smartphones blackBerry how to reset apps downloaded to its original state

HII, I am newbie on the use of blackberry.
Is that possible to reset apps downloaded in its original state, just as installed apps Android hh? Coz, there is 'clear data' feature on Android that can do.
    Thank you

Oh, I see what you want to do... Unfortunately there is no way that I can think of short of uninstalling the application, restart and then reinstall the application. Some applications may have an internal reset option, but that is specific app.

So now, there is another option of deletion of user data on the device and which will have the same effect, but which will remove also all the data on your device, including messages, contacts, etc. It is perhaps the way to go - back up your data with the BlackBerry Desktop Software, wipe the data on the device (let your media card and applications intact), and then do a selective restore just the databases you want (depending on the application, some can save data in databases).

In any case, I know that's not ideal, but at least it's a work around. Good luck!
