  In this case, the alternative solution would be to use the ServletContext getRealPath() or getResourceAsStream() method.
  In this way, you can load a resource from your web application, regardless of where it is deployed.
  It's practically the same solution, except for the resource specified from your web application, rather than the path of the classes.

  It is a perfectly acceptable method of Classpath and alternative might be better in terms of use of the servlet API rather than the standard java classpath.

• Absolute positioning is not possible?

  I have an element with a parent. I want to place at the bottom of that parent. I can only this margin with reflow. As soon as I do the elements absolute position Collard (so I can designate postiion it is, using 'down' rather than 'margin-top) the child is released from the parent, feeling low: 0 square at the bottom of the scene. #fail in the real world, I would never top of the margin for it.

  So what do I do in a situation like this?

  The same thing you would do in the browser right? Ensure that the parent is itself relative or static position?  If it's static position so all children are compared to the other next of kin who is the relative or absolute position.

  When you use absolute positioning, your element is the position in relation to the element of his parents who has a position (relative or absolute) on himself. If this isn't the case, it will be the position relative to the body tag. Please note that when you use absolute positioning, the element is out of circulation of normal documents.

  Solution:

  1. Place your buttons in a parent container, with a relative position value without offset to it.

  Trying to create a hypertext link dynamic model built in Word 2003 using {URL_LINK} in the "Address" field of the box "Edit Hyperlink" (according to the orientation guide users related to dynamic hyperlinks) but when I close this box, Word replaces {URL_LINK} by '% 7bURL %7 d '.

• Transient analysis fails: Timestep too small

  I use Multisim 10.1 to assemble logic gates of transistors for an undergrad Electrical engineering class. Part of the specification is that doors should drive a 1 or 8 pF capacitor at the output in the 1nsec voltage. (I think that the circuit, which I've made available is the version 8pF).

  "Circuits work very well when I test for logical functionality with a frequency of input measured in seconds, but when I try to measure the time of release of a Ghz entry, the transient analysis invariably fails with a ' no time too small" error.

  I looked through the site or all kinds of possible fixes (adjustment of the values of the relative and absolute error, etc...), but no luck.

  Hi Brian,.

  I took a glance at your circuit and it seemed that your cmos_andx8_timing_test_circuit.ms10 file generates errors of convergence. I did the following two changes in the settings of your transient simulation and circuit simulated very well:

  1. Scan options > SPICE Options > Use Defaults Multisim
  2. Crawl settings > settings > no time maximum (TMAX) = 1e-13 s

  As a general rule, you want to set the TMAX parameter to be substantially less than the smallest feature of your signal. In your case, the smaller is the rise in V1 (1ps) time. If possible, try to simulate with slower rise/fall times and slew rates. It is much easier for Multisim to converge semiconductor solutions if these settings were larger. I guess you do not have the luxury here, but if you were to just test the behavior of your circuit, it would be desirable.

  I'm using LabVIEW-Multisim co-simulation for ordering a buck converter circuit. When I run the VI which controls the converter circuit in Multisim, I get an error code-2367. Specifically, its this error:

  I think that the error is the framework of simulation in Multisim, but I do not know what parameters to change so that I can solve the problem.

  Normally for a problem of scaling of the timestep I would adjust the tolerance values. In your loop control of Simulation, if you pull the bar to the left, there are 2 options for tolerance (relative and absolute). Try decreasing the accuracy of these (instead of e-12, e-08 of use). Also the minimum and maximum values of stepsize control are there as well if you can try chaning those. Let me know if it works.

  I have a set of CSV files, I need to read on my main VI starting or the executable built my main VI and all of its dependencies (be it WIndows 7 or LabView RT).  Actually, I need to get these CSV files in a path of programmatic research such as:

  What is the recommended strategy for this and is there any screws available for research of an arbitrary set of relative and absolute paths?

  Also, how this be dealt with in an AB exe version (EX: resource files are enbedded in an EXE file)?

  For LabView RT, I currently have a little a directory of resources deployed under c:\config.  This works very well for the RT, but it's a horrible way to do it on a Windows PC.  Looking for a smarter approach.

• Function of memory in the loop control and Simulation - problem of the ODE Solver

  I'm correctly using the control loop & simulation to simulate the behavior of what is essentially a shock absorber-spring-mass system. In the process of change in time (dt) is used to integrate an arbitrary value. I use a rack depending on memory to store the time, to calculate the change of time (dt).

  The simulation is quite complex, because of the precision required, not all the ODE solvers can all support. Currently I use the Adams-Moulton method, this works very well for the simulation. However, it cannot detect the change in time, the change is constantly zero. This problem has auto market by using an another ODE Solver, but then the simulation has been messed up instead (even when I listen to the step sizes and tolerances). So I'm pretty confident that Adams-Moulton is one of solver ODE best suited to the problem at hand.

  Is there another way to store the previous hour and use it calculate lag, that the use of the memory function? Everyone knows about these problems before?

  I did a lot of research of error using the probe, but I'm sure that there is a problem with the ODE Solver and memory function. See the image below, showing basic how is calculated the change in time.

  I'm pretty new to LabVIEW, so if there is something else I missed I would be happy to hear it.

  PS! I set the tolerance minimum step of size/relative and absolute for the Adams-Moulton to simulate the behavior of the system properly.

  Problem solved!

  It turns out that the ODE Solver has struggled because of two "table 2D find" used functions. This was created for the interpolation/extrapolation, which caused a problem constantly and the ODE Solver could not resolve correctly, so the functions of memory doesn't work does not correctly or the other.

  By increasing the table manually, I could use closest method instead, with also good results as interpolation.

• Should I cancel my U410

  I ordered my U410 ultrabook 1 July, it is now July 16 and the estimated delivery date is July 26. In addition to this infuriating waiting time to get my machine before school starts, I find a LOT of posts on the problems on the U410, mainly the autonomy batteries which lasts 2 hours and horrible WiFi. I'm debating honestly or not cancel this U410 and simply never bother with Lenovo. This was my first purchase from Lenovo, and I don't know if I want to do my last or not.

• How to create a symbolic link for Window 7?

  I'm trying to put in place a Web of Appache server to experiment with WordPress development.  I installed a program called XAMPP installs the MYSQL server, the Appache server and PHP stuff necessary to create a working environment.  The author of the book suggested that I create a separate directory C:\WPDev to use for the development of WordPress.  I was able to make the necessary changes in the httpd.conf file for Apache server to recognize this place, but now I can't return to the PHPAdmin Panel I need to manipulate the MySQL database.

  So, what I thought I would do, is create a symbolic link to the original webroot folder in order to access these applications.  The command to do this, I read is:

  MKLINK [[/ D] |] [/H] | [/J]] The link target

  /D creates a directory symbolic link.  Default is a file
  symbolic link.
  /H creates a hard instead of a symbolic link link.
  /D creates a directory junction.
  Link specifies the new symbolic link name.
  Target Specifies the path (relative or absolute), which means the new link.

  My problem now is the following.  I am logged on as administrator, and yet I get this error message when I try to use the command:

  c:\WPDev>Mklink/d: xampp C:\xampp\htdocs
  You don't have sufficient privileges to perform this operation.

  Why have I not sufficient privileges to perform this operation as an administrator on this machine?  This makes not much sense to me.

  My guess is that it has to do with the permissions to this administrator user ID.  Looks like the WPDev directory inherits the permissions of the parent disk, but unlike Windows XP, I can't just take control of this directory and start to change the permissions.  When I look at the permissions summary, I think I should be able to do.   I think I have all the permissions, but there may be something on the command mklink that I'm missing.

  You need to elevate your privileges:

  1 log in under an administrator account.

  2. click on the start planet.

  3. type the three letters cmd in the search box.

  4. press on Ctrl + Shift + Enter

  5. click on "run as Administrator".

  6 type the mklink command.
  You can also use linkd.exe that doesn't require elevated privileges. It is provided with the Windows 2000 Technical Resource Kit.

• How to stop scrolling 250px from the top of the page content?

  I have links to content on the same page, like "named anchor" of ancient times. Problem is that the page contains a fixed header on 250px high. As content scrolls upward all the way to the top of the page, the top of 250px page are hidden by the header.

  Are there ways that I can stop content top of page 250-300px?

  The header must be there, fixed.

  One way of course is to raise the anchor tag 250-300px on the page that the content actually is. But it seems a bit expensive...

  A very simple way to do this is with CSS and a combination of relative and absolute positioning.

  It's the element that is bound to

  The ID (or named anchor) is in the empty space, which is the position absolute 250px above the element you are linking. The empty space is at the top of the page, and the bound element is below 250px.

• VROPs - creating reports for VMS that were down for 60 days or longer

  We have a requirement for the creation of a regular monthly report for virtual machines that have been down for 60 days or more. I thought by using the default "Disk space recoverable of Virtual Machines for some time" for the creation of this report would be the best option.   I think that this could be a really useful report, but when I was testing the integrated perspective time settings had no effect on which were virtual machines.  It seems that it is show all virtual computers that are turned off, regardless of the parameters of time or how long the virtual machine has been powered down.  I've played with filters and could not find a way to filter the virtual machines based on the length of time that they have been turned off.  What I did to work around this problem, is to add a column for the metric"summary | "Powered off time %" and the Transformation of the value average.  If the virtual machine has been powered down for the entire period that average will always be 100%.  If it was powered at any point the average off power time will be less than 100%.  Is another metric, you might use this "summary | Turn off the power"with the set Minimum Transformation.  If the virtual machine has been for the entire period that minimum will be '1', otherwise it will be '0 '.  I thought that the percentage was easier to understand, so I went with that.  Time settings, I use just the last 2 months.  I have attached the view that I use.
