  • How can I recover the modules and their data from a failed HARD drive (the lost BONE areas, but data files are readable)?

    The HARD drive that was my OS (Windows XP Pro SP3) failed and lost quite a few areas which are essential for the operating system running. Other data is still readable. A got another HARD drive and installed Windows XP SP2, Firefox and other programs. I was able to retrieve the bookmarks, security certificates, and other profile information using the information found in bandages.

    None of them addressed how do to recover the modules or their data. Specifically, there are several large, elegant scripts that took months to develop and customize.

    Articles related to migration and other do not work for me because they require the old copy of FF is functional, that is not because the OS on this HARD drive is damaged. Is it possible to recover these data, similar (or not) about how I could get the other profile info?

    Have you copied the entire folder C:\Documents and Settings\username \Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\ on the old drive?
    If this is not the case, can you?
    If so, make a copy and save this folder just in case.

    If so, you could replace this folder on the new facility by \Profiles\ [with your profiles inside] folder and the profiles.ini file [delete all other files / folders that may also be in the folder "Firefox"] -and then replace with the same folder named from the old failed drive. Note that you will lose what you already have with the new installation / profile!
    Your profile folder contains all your personal data and customizations, including looking for plugins, themes, extensions and their data / customizations - but no plugins.
    But if the user logon name is different on the new facility that the former, any extension that uses an absolute path to the file in its prefs will be problems. Easily rectified, by changing the path to the file in the file prefs, js - keep the brake line formatting intact. The extensions created after the era of Firefox 2.0 or 3.0, due to changes in the 'rules' for creating extensions usually are not a problem, but some real old extensions that need only "minor" since that time can still use absolute paths - even though I have not seen myself since Firefox Firefox 3.6 or 4.0.

    View instead of 'Modules' I mentioned the 4 types of 'Modules' separately - Plugins are seen as 'Add-ons', but they are not installed in the profile [except those mislabelled as a "plugin", when they are installed via an XPI file], but rather in the operating system where Firefox 'find' through the registry.

    Note: Migration articles can tell you do not re - use the prefs.js file, due to an issue that I feel is easily fixed with a little inspection and editing. I think you can manage that my perception is that you have a small shovel in your tool box, if you encounter a problem you are able to do a little digging and fixing problems with the paths to files - once you have been warned.

    Overall, if you go Firefox 35 35 or even Firefox 34 to 35, I don't think you will run in all the problems that you can not handle [that I cross my fingers and "hope" that I'm not on what it is obvious].

    With regard to the recovery of the 'data' for individual extensions - there are many ways that extension developers used to store their data and pref. The original way should save in prefs.js or their own file RDF in the profile folder. While Firefox has been developed more, developers started using their own files in the profile folder. And because Mozilla has started using sqlite database files in Firefox 3.0, Mozilla extended their own use of sqlite, as have extension developers.
    Elegant uses the file stylish.sqlite to store 'styles', but something in the back of my mine tells me that 'the index' maybe not in this file with the data. But then again, I can be confusing myself a question I had with GreaseMonkey awhile back where I copied the gm_scripts folder in a new profile and with already installed GreaseMonkey but with no script. These GM scripts worked, but I could not see them or modify them - they do not appear in the user GM extension interface window in Firefox.

  • Error 28000. Installation of the Module of licensing Acrobat failed?

    I just bought Adobe Acrobat Pro DC Amazon. I could verify my purchase and get an official order number. However, whenever I try to install using the serial number, the installation process stops just before the end and displays this error:

    "Error 28000.Installation the Acrobat licensing Module has failed. For possible solutions to this problem, please refer to http://www.adobe.com/go/acrobat_installation_rollback"" "" "

    And then he restores the facility and said "the wizard was interrupted before Adobe Acrobat DC could be completely installed."

    I tried the following:

    (1) completely uninstalled all programs Adobe acrobat (including a trial version).

    (2) import the new entry (see link above)

    (3) Ran Adobe licensing repair utility (on the offchance that it might resolve the issue, even if it's for Acrobat 8 and 9)

    So far, nothing has changed anything. Always do the same exact error.

    Any ideas on how I might solve the problem would be much appreciated!

    Edit: I'm currently under 64-bit Windows 8.

    Found a solution that worked for me.

    Run-> regedit.exe

    Remove the directory Adobe set of registry keys.

    " < = xmlns:fx s:Module ' http://ns.Adobe.com/MXML/2009 "

    xmlns:s = "library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark".

    xmlns:MX = "library://ns.adobe.com/flex/mx".

    Implements = "com. Hof.lobby.modules.IVolatileAssets ".

    Width = "400" height = "300".

    creationComplete = "onDummy (event)" "

    >

    Inside this module, I have several other properties that are themselves instances of type various other interfaces.

    When I build the main application, all right.

    I created a macrodef of ANT to build all my modules effectively.

    < name macrodef = "buildModule" >

    < attribute name = "module name" default = "none" / >

    < attribute name = "module-package" default = "none" / >

    < attribute name = "out-path" default = "'." / > "

    < sequence >

    < echo message = "building @{module-name} for @{out-path}/@{module-name}.swf" / >} "

    "< file="${APP_ROOT}/src/@{module-package}/@{module-name}.mxml mxmlc ".

    output="${DEPLOY_DIR}/@{out-path}/@{module-name}.swf".

    Keep-generated-actionscript = "false".

    incremental = "false".

    Debug = 'true '.

    fork = "true".

    external load-trainees = "${ANT_ROOT}" / link - report.xml ' "

    optimize = "false".

    >

    < filename="${FLEX_HOME}/frameworks/flex-config.xml"/ load-config >

    < path-element source-path = "${FLEX_HOME} / frameworks" / >

    < compile .library-path dir = "${HOF_COMMON_ROOT}" append = "true" >

    < name = 'bin' / >

    < / compile .library-path >

    < compile .library-path dir = "${APP_ROOT} ' append ="true">

    < name = 'java' / >

    < / compile .library-path >

    < compile .library-path dir = "${FLEX_HOME} ' / managers ' append ="true">"

    < name = 'java' / >

    "" < name = "... /bundles/ {local}" / >

    < / compile .library-path >

    < path-element source-path = "${APP_ROOT} / src/locale / {local}" / >

    < / mxmlc >

    < / sequential >

    < / macrodef >

    < target name = "modulesDebug" depends = "lobbyDependencies" description = "Building the Hall modules for debug" >

    <!-< buildModule-module = module package "InboxDlg" name = "com/hof/Hall/modules/dlgs" off-path = "modules3/dlgs" / >-->

    < buildModule-name of the module = module package 'VolatileAssets' = ' com/hof/Hall/modules' off-path = "modules3" / >

    < / target >

    Then, when I run this goal, I get the following result:

    modulesDebug:

    [echo] building modules3/VolatileAssets.swf VolatileAssets

    [mxmlc] F:\var\sdk\flex_sdk_4.5.1.21328A\frameworks\flex-config.xml configuration file

    Total time: 7 seconds

    If I remove the implements attribute in the definition of the module component, then I get a failure cascaded to EVERY SINGLE interface in the module.

    Basically something is causing ANT to fail to load the def for ANY interface class in the module.

    What on earth am I doing wrong?

    Help, please.

    Thank you.

    I answer my own thread because I absolutely HATE when I see a message with the problem I have and no response.

    Here is the answer to the problem:

    I had to create an external configuration file and load it with

    the content of ModuleConfig.xml re - defines almost every configuration framework.  None of them seem to non-standard for me...

    Basically I defined just to be what it SHOULD be and responsible for the config file after I applied the default flex - config.xml in the SDK.

    do what I posted below and it will work.

    so now my macrodef is:

    output="${DEPLOY_DIR}/@{out-path}/@{module-name}.swf".

    Keep-generated-actionscript = "false".

    incremental = "true".

    Debug="@{debug}.

    fork = "true".

    optimize = "false".

    Size-Report="${basedir}/Reports/@{module-Name}-size_report. XML ".

  • Windows cannot connect to the printer operation failed with error 0x0000007e

    Hello

    OS: Windows 7 x 86 SP1

    Print server: Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 x 86

    Printer: HP LaserJet 8150 printer shared and listed in the directory

    Problem:

    When I try to install the printer in the Add Printer Wizard, choose install a network printer, she finds a driver on the server, installs, then brings up an error (see topic).

    In the Print Service logs, I see the following:

    "The print spooler failed to load a plug-in module, 0x7e error code. See the user context information for event data.

    I can install the printer very well if I choose local printer, new port, TCP/IP, and enter the IP address. This isn't a solution, as users cannot be expected to go through this process, or for me to go around all the machines and do it manually. More I want than the print jobs to the print server's spool, and I think that the local installation method uses the local spooler.

    I tried to install the driver of HP UPD PCL 6, x 86 and x 64, on the print server.

    When I check what the client machine pilot chose to install by going to the properties of the print server, I can see that he chooses the former driver "HP LaserJet 8150 Series PCL 6". I presume that it is incompatible with Windows 7, that's why I am getting the error cannot connect.

    How can I get Windows 7 clients to use the UPD?

    I left our Windows 2003 print server to a Server 2008 and comes to install the HP UPD x 86 and x 64 for each printer. Now everything works perfectly! All XP and 7 customers can install printers network without problem.

    I suspect that the problem was due to have many different versions of drivers on the old print server, and customers did not know which to use?

  • FPGA code with the evolution of the modules

    I need to create FPGA code to a cRIO-9072 facing the development of the modules.

    My cRIO will have a number any NI 9203 (analog acquisition) and modules OR 9411 (acquisition digital) as inserted by the operator. When turning the power on, the system must identify two possible modules were inserted in each of the slots. Subsequently, he will then know what choices of code to call to acquire data from the individual modules.

    I found the article in the knowledge base for CRY that queries each module and again reports the type of module and I can use it to successfully detect modules, but what LabVIEW fails to allow me to do this is to compile my FPGA code that was designed to deal with possible modules. After compiling, I get the error: "IO found point FPGA project. You must add the I/O item in the Project Explorer window, or select a different element in the control of FPGA of IO or the constant"because the compiler requires the appropriate modules are configured in the LabVIEW project. Unfortunately, this would require two different modules to be configured for each slot at the same time as there are sections of code for the 9203 modules and sections for 9411 modules for all eight locations coexist in a vi.

    Anyone have any ideas on how to get LabVIEW to compile my FPGA code somehow?

    Many thanks in advance,

    With the current draft of LabVIEW FPGA, you cannot compile a LabVIEW FPGA VI which manages several configurations of C Series modules.

    For your application, you must create a target of your project for each of the possible configurations of module and build the corresponding FPGA VI. Then, compile each of the screws to create the necessary for each configuration FPGA bitstream. Then in your host VI, you can detect what the current configuration of the module and download the binary stream appropriate for the FPGA. Another issue to consider is that the reference to the FPGA VI/bitstream returned by the open FPGA VI reference function will be unique to each bitstream/module configuration. So in your host VI, you'll need treat each configuration of the module with a separate set of code by contacting the FPGA.

    If you consider only two different modules and an eight slot chassis, there are 9 modules possible combinations. The condition would be to the end user to place all modules of the same type together, either from the left or the right side of the chassis.

  • Cannot find the dependency of the module with signature

    Hello:

    I use Visual Studio 2008 sp1 and Visual c#. The program works very well in environmental development and as a standalone .exe in the development computer and another in which he is also VS 2008 sp1 is installed. But if I try to run the program as one demo on another machine without VS2008, it gives me a module not found message as soon as it starts. If I delete the references to AIChannelCollection and ChanType, the program load without error. It does not matter whether or not the target computer has MAX on it. All machines are Win 7. I do not actually use Measurement Studio, but it seems that the classes are somehow associated with it. It seems that the program generates the error as soon as he calls a method with ChanType or AIChannelCollection in it.

    I also get a warning on the construction of the Setup project:

    Fo could not find dependency of the module with the signature "Microsoft_VC90_CRT_x86.0138F525_6C8A_333F_A105_14AE030B9A54

    In my C:\Program Files (x 86) of the \Common Files\Merge Modules directory, I present Microsoft_VC90_CRT_x86.msm indeed. (589 KB, 15/03/12)

    In detected dependencies, I have:

    Microsoft .NET Framework

    microsoft_vc90_crt - x 86 .msm

    mstudiocommon.2008.msm

    mstudiodaqmx.2008.msm

    I tried to add policy_8_0_Microsoft_VC90_CRT_x86.msm, then policy_8_0_Microsoft_VC90_CRT_x86.msm without success. The warning persists little matter what I do, and the program will work very well on a computer with VS2008, but not otherwise.

    Help, please.

    Thank you.

    Tom

    This problem has been resolved internally. For reference:

    The Measurement Studio merge modules have a dependency on the Visual Studio merge modules. (NOR) must be given a specific signature and version of what our modules-dependent (for example, we cannot say something like "we depend on this signature of wildcards with this generic version; "This is a restriction on the level of the Windows Installer). What happens is the following:

    1 Microsoft released an update that changes the signature of module of the MSM that we are dependent (e.g. it's bad to do because its existing customers as use breaks)
    2. where Visual Studio will create a Setup project, it looks like our MSMs ModuleDependency ¿and attempts to locate the MSM. The problem is that the Microsoft Visual Studio MSM update have a different signature/version and so Visual Studio cannot locate the MSM. So the MSM Visual Studio don't get included in your Setup project.

    So, basically, there was a kind of update Microsoft (probably to VS 2008 SP1) which updates the modules that depend on our DAQmx merge modules. As a result, the old buildings no longer exist, so the Setup program creates a warning and fails finally when trying to run on a target computer. There is also a forum link below that is this number in case you are looking for more information or need a different version of merge modules:

    tonkatnrus,
    If you are still having this problem then, let us know what version of Windows 7 you have, and your basic system specifications.  I suggest to perform a clean boot , and then test the game.  Also, let us know what updates failed and this error code you received.

  • Error message: "the address book failed to load. Outlook Express is incorrectly configured, please re-install. "at the start of XP and the machine.

    After uninstalling my XPSp3 o.e., I started getting the following error message: "the address book failed to load. Outlook Express is incorrectly configured, please re-install. "at the start of XP and the machine.

    Uninstalling included 7 entries registry to remove all the * files dbx and files *.wab addressbook, except himself. After uninstalling and receipt of the error message above, I tried to use my CD of XP OS to re - install O.E. as a component of Microsoft without success.

    I upgraded to Outlook 2007 and imported to the address book of O.E. successfully before uninstalling.

    Please advise me how to get rid of the error message always appearing at startup.

    Thank you

    You can't really uninstall and reinstall OE without having to reinstall XP as OE is a part of it. I hope your foray into the registry does not require a reinstall of XP.

    You now have the DBX files? WAB files?

    If Outlook has been on your machine before this event, see the reference by PA Bear in this thread

    If Outlook has not been installed, see these.

    All of you who have the same cause.  Something is screwed up with your address book.

    It could be several specific problems, which include:

    -damaged or incompatible DLL files for the addressbook
    -have OE set to use the Outlook98 / 2000 + contacts instead of the WAB
