I created a form with a button to remove the current action item via the script. Although I looked at this script several times and used the Action to add the button can't always the button to remove the current instance. The button always removes the first instance. What code is now on the delete button?

It is not clear what you're trying to remove, the CorrAction subform?

If the subform "CorrAction", you would need:

_CorrAction.removeInstance (this.parent.parent.index);

As CorrAction is on 2 levels (parents) over the delete key.

If it's 'The Action' you try to delete, you must:

_Action.removeInstance (this.parent.parent.parent.index);

  • Help with Javascript for the button Delete

    Hi, Im new JavaScript and have my code works partially, but the trouble with a nested if-then-else statement.

    I have a page element, P4_COUNT, and if its value is 0, the button Delete will allow the user to delete the record. If the number is > 0, a message should appear stating that the record cannot be deleted. That's what I have so far and it works, but the first ELSE is misplaced. This code is the URL target for my button remove.

    JavaScript:var response; response = confirm ("are you sure you want to delete this POC?'");
    If {(response)
    If (document.getElementById('P4_COUNT').value == 0) {}
    doSubmit ('DELETE');
    }
    }
    else {-this other fires when the user hits cancel on the first question above not what I want, I want another one here who said only: "removal cancelled '"}
    -This one should only be fired if p4_count is not equal to 0
    var answer2;
    answer2 = confirm ('you cannot remove this POC, that this POC is associated with a RIF.');
    If {(answer2)
    Alert ('cancelled deletion');
    }
    else {}
    Alert ('cancelled deletion');
    }
    }

    The above should follow this logic:

    Are you sure you want to delete this POC?
    Yes - if p4_count = 0 then
    delete the record
    on the other
    second line: cannot delete this record
    OK - prompt removal cancelled
    Cancel - prompt removal cancelled
    end if;
    Cancel - prompt removal cancelled

  • Strange behavior on the button with immediate delete = true

    Hi, I use JDev11.1.1.2

    I dragged a view object as an editable on the page form. I added the navigation + delete/create the buttons.
    As I see all buttons delete should be immediate = true, because I want the user to be able to delete the current line, despite validation errors (or maybe it's feasible otherwise?)

    But now when I press the button Delete, only readonly fields are updated with the next record in the iterator, but the input fields are not updated (they stay with the values of the row to delete).
    If I disable = true for an inputField value, then it is updated with the value of the following line.
    I tried with partialTriggers on the inputFields for the delete button - but no luck!

    Why I get this behavior different on inputFields and outputText when remove button is immediate = true?
    And how to deal with this problem?

    Thank you!

    Good to hear! I think you should be able to use the trackpad however. I think I remember to make it work on Mac a friends (first one I've listed below, in this web page)-use two fingers and tap the trackpad. I think you might have to watch that you don't type it too lightly, or he doesn't know what you're trying to do.

    On this second which says to use the CTRL, to my memory, the Mac is not that (it does now, maybe)... I think I had to use a different key that was downstairs left... Google Images, I see that there are four: fn, control, option, command... If the control key does not work, my next guess would be to use the option or command key. It's easy to see which experience.

    If you press and hold the function key, and then regular - click on the bookmark you want to delete, isn't that bring up the contextual menu? It's rather than just giving the bookmark two fingers tap.

    • * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

    Use the tap two fingers on the trackpad, not a click, just a light tap with two fingers.

    • * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

    If you have a mouse with a button, hold down the CTRL key, and then click the mouse button.

    If you have a magic mouse, press and hold the mouse on the right side.

  • Override the default behavior of the button Delete of list manager

    Hello

    Everyone please help. I'm trying to override the default behavior of the button Delete of list manager. The first thing, I want to restrict users to select only one option from the list to delete; meaning don't allow multiple options for users to remember. Before removing the selected option in the list; I want to perform a Javascript/AJAX validation on the database to check if the user has permissions to remove the option from the list. If the user has privileges simple delete option selected in the list. If the user does not have privileges and then draw the attention of the user with a message "not authorized...!  and this should occur when the user selects the option in the list to the list manager, and then click Remove from the list manager.

    Remove list manager of the shutter release button of the function 'deleteListElement ($x ('P3_LM_USES'))' on the onclick event. P3_LM_USES is my element of list manager in a form.

    I use the version of Oracle APEX 4.0.2 and Oracle 11 g R2 database.

    I was able to substitute the Add button functionality using the JS function below list manager and perform validation on database by using the method of ajax on request.

    {code}

    < script type = "text/javascript" >

    <!--

    This replaces the default manager of Apex lists which removes embedded spaces from the last item when it is added to the text box

    appendToList function (value, toList)

    {

    First of all, get rid of all spaces

    trimmedValue = value;

    var ajaxRequest = new htmldb_Get (null, & APP_ID, 'APPLICATION_PROCESS = VALIDATE_ADD_USE', 0);

    ajaxRequest.addParam('x01',trimmedValue);

    var ajaxResult = ajaxRequest.get ();

    Alert (ajaxResult);

    If (ajaxResult == 1)

    {

    Alert ('after alert ajaxResult');

    Then, divide the string separated by commas in a table

    valueArray = trimmedValue.split(",");

    for (i = 0; i < valueArray.length; i ++)

    {

    If (valueArray [i]! = ' ')

    {

    found = false;

    for (j = 0; j < toList.length; j ++)

    {

    If (toList.options [j] .value is [i] valueArray)

    found = true;

    }

    If (found == false)

    toList.options [toList.length] = new Option ([i] valueArray, [i] valueArray);

    }

    }

    }

    on the other

    {

    Alert ("you cannot add it" "+ theValue +'".) Please contact the administrator of the application. ") ;

    }

    }

    ->

    < /script >

    {code}

    I have this above function JS in a section of text of element the element of P3_LM_USES list manager post. Please help me with your suggestions for the button Delete.

    Thank you

    Hello

    I was able to solve the problem by replacing the default functionality of the list manager delete button using a JS/AJAX process. FYI, here's the JS function.

    {code}

    function deleteListElement (toList)

    {

    Alert ("Hello in function");

    var x = $x ('P3_LM_USES');

    for (var i = 0; i)< x.options.length;="">

    {

    If (x.options [i] .selected is true)

    {

    Alert (x.options [i] .value);

    var ajaxRequest = new htmldb_Get(null,&APP_ID.,'APPLICATION_PROCESS=VALIDATE_REMOVE_USE',0);

    ajaxRequest.addParam('x02',x.options[i].value);

    var ajaxResult = ajaxRequest.get ();

    If (ajaxResult == 1)

    {

    var y = x.remove (i);

    alert (y + 'removed');

    }

    on the other

    {

    Alert ("you can't remove this" ' + x.options [i] .value +' "item in the list.) Please contact the database administrator.') ;

    }

    }

    }

    }

    {code}

    Thank you

  • condition on Page Button - delete and save

    I have the condition do not delete are modifications of the update on the records that are related to other records in the table so that those who don't get orphan. I'm doing it with the PL/SQL function returns Boolean.

    I code like below.
    < code >
    Declare
    v_found NUMBER: = 0;
    BEGIN
    SELECT count (*) in case v_found

    RETURNS false;
    END IF;
    END;
    < code >

    But
    The State does not seem to be put right and I always see the button DELETE and save buttons on the page. Am I going wrong somewhere?

    Hello

    Did you try to write like query and use condition is not?
    And you use as no %

    SELECT 1
    FROM cases
    WHERE lower(REGION) like lower('%' || :P21_ID || '%');

  • Button Delete does not seem to use branch to return to the page

    I've implemented a form of single update with several pages of report pointing to it. I did it using the base report / form option, the button create is therefore on the report link to the form with a button change to the form of update and delete. There is also a button cancel on the form.

    After having read the Forum, I put an article on the form to accept the page past the various pages of report number and redefine the unconditional branch on the value of button. This works well for create, update, and cancel. They all return to the original page beautifully.

    However, the button Delete a popup javascript standard asking for verification to delete. Appears, the record is deleted and I get treated action message, but I'm not at the original page - instead, I get an error "error ERR-1016 request '122' Page '0' not found (requested language =" en - us ")") which seems to say that it is not referencing the element of the back page. I know that the item has the correct value because it is currently not hidden to test.

    The branch point is on submit after treatment and pointing to a page of the application with the value of & P3_BRANCH_TO.

    If I replace the URL for the javascript popup in the button of deletion with the link to the article, I don't get the deletion at all. It just goes back to the original page. If the javascript code gives more than a popup.

    How can I work around this situation?

    TIA

    Gillian

    PS - this forum is great - it has been very useful for the beginner.

    Hi Gillian,

    The process of "reset page" is there to remove from the session, the values of all elements on the page. In most cases, it's ok because that's what you want to do. In some cases, however, this can cause problems. In your case, since your article P3_BRANCH_TO is on the same page, then it was also being allowed to go out with the rest of the data, so when management tried to read, the value was in fact null instead of a real page number.

    There are two things you could try, to make sure that you clear the values in session that you don't need, but keep those you do.

    1 - Place the items you wish to keep on another page, if possible or to create elements of the Application (via the shared components) and set these values instead. I'm doing this for my G_RETURN_PAGE point (which I think is similar to what you do with your P3_BRANCH_TO article) - I put this value on my basic pages (the pages that the user must come back after you perform an action) and then use & G_RETURN_PAGE. in the branch. As "reset page" don't erase data pages, any part of the application is not affected, will always be available.

    2. in your branch, you can set the value to itself. Thus, the parameter "Defining these elements" would be P3_BRANCH_TO and the 'with these values"would be & P3_BRANCH_TO.
