  I have tried to create repository obiee in obiee under solaris environments. I find that there is no system for Solaris obiee administration tool. How can I create repository in solaris if there is no administrative tool.

  InstanceConfig.xml sets the location of the Web catalog, not the name of the repository RPD. The Web catalog is where the user reports, dashboards etc are stored. You must change the RPD of the BI llok at the NQSConfig.INI server.

  Currently, I am trying to download the OBIEE repository using WLST script.

  I am aware of the solution to download the repository, but the same type of solution does not work for download from the repository.

  MBean: oracle.biee.admin:type = BIDomain.BIInstance.ServerConfiguration, biInstance = coreapplication, group = Service

  Operation name: downloadRepository

  Description: Download the repository file in a path specified in rpdFilePath. Recommended sequence: lock(), resyncRepository(), simpleCommit(), getRepositoryName(), downloadRepository (...).

  When I try this in my script:

  I get an error:

• Question of repository OBIEE 10 G

  Hi, I'm really new to OBIEE 10 G. Recently, I asked two questions and got great answers, thanks. Now, here's a new.

  I have branch, time, product, and Sales of paintings in the physical layer. Branch, the time and the products are the dimensions and have a relationship several ship sales.

  I built models and mapped the relationship (model of Business and physical diagram). And built the display boards.

  Now because sales are by long branch, (day) and products (product not), what ever size I drag in the responses, the result will be there branch, the time (day) and product (not).

  For example, if I drag the branch and sales, I want to see the branch sales, but instead, I still see sales by long branch (day) and products (not produced).

  I don't know y at - it something I should be doing in the repository? Especially in the MDB. I have the MDB sales as done and branch, time, produced as dimensions. I didn't build hierarchies because I'm not sure what the hierarchy.

  Thanks for the reply. Finally, I found that it is because I did not in place the aggregation for the fact table columns. It's 'None' by default. I've changed the 'Sum' and problem solved. The hierarchy is irrelevant because my case is very simple and there is only one level in each dimension. But I'll certainly have to build for real things and hierarchy levels. Thank you.

  I have a requirement as below.
  
  There are about 300 pictures with the physical connections that must be done in the physical layer of OBIEE.
  
  Since there are a lot of tables and various possibilities of connections, I want to split the work between 2 of us.
  
  Is it not possible for a user to create a set of connections and the other user to create another set of connections and finally merge into one final repository?
  
  Since I am still creating the physical layer, there is no MDB/presentation layer and I guess that MUDE would not work as a project is not created.
  
  Kindly let me know if my understanding is good, and I would like to know an appropriate approach for this problem

  Updated the repository - RPD user B

  Try the two ways mentioned above, with minimal changes and check if it works.

  Why not add a TOUR around your measurements to make sure do them the same "accuracy"? Do not round to a higher accuracy than you display or 1 more and you'll most likely get a match.

  And also look at the SQL generated physical because at least you are 100% of what you need to do to get the digits of your correspondents.

  Make sure that your format of configuration and Notification data in your excel, it should work.

  try to open you are excellent 1st then check the data format and close your excel sheet and then try to import them into your RPD.

  My organization has decided to build their reports and dashboards using obiee.   OBIEE is a software to run without a good understanding of its complex concepts. I would really recommend attending a training course, or at least a book (for example this or this). There are MANY items of general blog on OBIEE, many of which are of poor quality and are all step-by-step guides on how to do a particular task, without explaining the overall situation.

  If you want to use OBIEE and to make it a success, you have learned to understand the basics.

  To answer your question directly:

  -BI Publisher is not the same thing as OBIEE. It is a component of it (but also autonomous available). OBIEE makes data accessible through 'Dashboards' which is made up of 'Analysis', written in the answers tool. Dashboards can also contain content BI Publisher if you want

  -OBIEE can report against the many sources of different data, one or more data warehouse and transactional. Most of the OBIEE implementations that perform well are based against dedicated DW, but is not a mandatory condition.

  -If reports against a DW real or not, when you build the repository OBIEE you build a "virtual" data warehouse, in other words, you dimensionally model all your business in one data set of logic diagrams in Star.

  SSO has been implemented with SSO - Ondaaah using Kerberos authentication.

  But SSO not working for BI Publisher. When contacted Oracle they suggested me to follow the bug below.

  When OBIEE use SSO with MS Active Directory, BEEP should be used instead of analyltics Analytics-ws endpoint. But currently, BIP uses analyitcs as endpoint.

  This problem has been solved once once the config.xml xmpl-server-file has been manually under the leadership and analytical endpoint was changed to analytics.ws. Bipublisher.ear on WLS console application restart.

• OBIEE Metadata Plugin cannot loaded with 10g DB and 10.2.0.3 AWM

  I use database 10g R2 with awm10203A_win32 (10g AWM) downloaded from OTN to configure my cube. Cube, measure and configured axis fine but even if I put the obieeplugin.jar file into the location of the Plugin and configure the same path in my AWM interface after reboot of the AWM I still don't export to the OBIEE Admin submenu.
  
  However, I don't have this problem when I'm under database Oracle 11 g R2 with 11g AWM. It was perfectly well at this time.
  
  Is it because of the version of the database for which 10 g MN does not support the OBIEE plugin? I can see information below:

  OBIEE plugin for Analytic Workspace Manager supports Oracle Database 11 g,
  Release 1 (11.1), version 11.1.0.7 and later versions and Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2).

  So, Yes, you can use this if you use the database 11.1.0.7 or later and if you create a style of 11g AW.

  You can map style 10g AWs to OBIEE, but it's a complex and manual task. You must first generate views (for example) using the generator to view OLAP (10.2.0.3) available on http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/options/olap/olap-downloads-098860.html. After that, you will need to manually create the mapping metadata in OBIEE.
