  Dear forum members
  I would like to know if you have a broken on those screen tecra A10, we could eliminate a screen from another similar machine that is faulty, but has an intact screen.

  In this regard, I had a look on the Tecra A10 screen cover but for the life of me can not establish how you would get the screen on the cover and also how to disassemble the lid of the machine, we'll install the screen.

  You won't find that everything disassemble manuals on the pages of Toshiba.
  You can find manuals the user only for models of simple laptops that are provided for ordinary users.

  I guess you will need to search on the internet for some details how to disassemble the Tecra A10.
  Use google and search + Tecra A10 irisvista +.
  Then you should get a few hits on Tecra A10 disassembly

  My TECRA A10 - 1 HG PTSB1E does'nt recognize my second HDD that has taken the place of the cd-rom.
  I use a SATA caddy and the boot of the A10 with a CD-rom error!
  is it not possible to use a shopping cart with a TECRA A10?
  Does anyone have a solution?

  I guess that the Tecra A10 does not support these updates.
  The 2nd SATA controller does not seem to support the additional HDD instead of ODD.

  But I've read a few things to get such2nd as recognized HARD drive.
  You must start the laptop without the HARD drive caddy in ODD Bay.
  After that the Windows system has started, you can plug/connect the HARD drive caddy and system PnP service should recognize the new device.

  I think this isn't the best solution, but it seems like it s the only way to get this HDD caddy recognized in the Bay of the STRANGE

  This model is not listed on toshiba - Europe.com and serial number not on the database.

  You will not find the Tecra A10 - 11L on the driver page, but you will find the * series Tecra A10 PTSB0E *!

  Take a look at the bottom of the unit, you will find the model/serial number

• Express Port Replicator II and Tecra A10 - 12Z - only the power and LAN

  Since my Toshiba T3600CT I received with docking station, I discovered that I have a docking station. In the meantime, I had a small Sony who had no docking station, for which I got one of the first USB docking station and since then I've seen always to get laptops with docking station.

  But this time something went really wrong, the Toshiba Express Port Replicator II PA3680E-2PRP provides only power and LAN. There is no power in the USB ports, so no serial port or the sound, and DVI and VGA are also disabled.

  All these ports work fine on the Tecra A10, but not on the docking station.

  Of course, it is nice to have the power and LAN, but not when I expected too much of everything.

  When the laptop is preinstalled with recovery image simply connect compatible laptop Toshiba docking station and all the devices connected to the docking station will be recognized correctly and all available ports should work fine.
  Is that a Port Replicator basically "replica" ports on the laptop.

  As much as I know Express Port Replicator supports the simultaneous use of RGB & DVI only if the laptop itself also supports the simultaneous use of RGB & DVI.
  So if the Tecra A10 1GV would support the use of RGB and DVI port simultaneously then Express Port Replicator should support too.

  The Port USB Dynadock Port Replicator support VGA or DVI port. I didn't find the Dynadock, which was equipped with two ports together.
  The Dynadock can be connected to all computers with USB 2.0 and it beautiful s expansion.

• Tecra A10 - change of resolution with Docking Station problem

  I own a Tecra A10 - 14Q and I like it a lot - it is a very beautiful piece of hardware, including the functionality of UMTS.

  When the Tecra is moored to the dock Express, and the external monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 22 "with resolution 1600 * 1200) is on defining the Office to be cloned on both screens, passes resolution of 1280 * 800 on the Tecra to 800 * 600 as"best resolution.

  I tried Intel and Mobility Center graphics settings, but I can't find a way to set I want to keep the resolution 1280 * 800.

  But sometimes, if the external monitor would be connected to the Tecra A10 directly without using the Express Docking Station?

  Otherwise the problem could be linked to the dock Express (Replicator of port express?)

  Maybe the 1600 * 1200 resolution on external monitor is too high for the express port replicator and so there are some questions which s my personal suggestion

  To be honest I don't know if it will be possible to m.

  But as far as I know the Tecra A10 has of a pre-installed tool called: Toshiba security help.

  This tool can be used for the parameters the user BIOS, disk HARD password user password or fingerprint fingerprint authentication.

  Perhaps it would be possible to have access to this tool by using Active Directory.

  In my opinion the Windows version (32-bit or 64-bit) has nothing to do with the hardware of the laptop. If you use 3 GB of RAM or less in my opinion 32-bit is sufficient because it s not slower or faster for 64-bit. It is just necessary to use 4 GB of RAM.

  But as Al - eX has already written that you can download all the drivers on the Toshiba site. Check this box!

  A friend told Tecra A10 and he said that he of a notebook of big business, it seems, he is very satisfied with this laptop. :)

  I asked him about the startup eSATA option and he told me that it of not possible to start from eSATA, but you can boot from a USB storage device. I put t know why you want to start from eSATA, but if you want to boot from your external HARD drive you can connect via the USB port for example. It should work.

  Furthermore, system dual-boot (for example, XP and Vista) is also possible and you n t need a external HARD drive or second for that.

  As far as I know that the Tecra A10 can use only a single HARD drive with the CD/DVD drive.

  By the way; some Tecra A10 (NOT all Tecra A10) as PTSB0E Tecra A10 - 13 K are equipped with the 64 GB SSD SATA. It s a Solid State Disk.
