  We are on R12 (12.1.3), it was installed with the English language by default. We wanted to add Spanish and Portuguese languages to the system.
  I went through the steps that contains generating manifest file and get a patch custom from Oracle.
  
  Here, we take the additional license of Oracle to add these languages?

  There is no impact/licensing requirements for the addition of new languages to an existing installation of the EBS

  Hi Experts,
  
  To clone an EBS r12 DB for Vmware machine that are running on the same server which is RHEL 6 64 bit OS platform.
  
  EBS r12 software needs to be installed on the vmware machine prior to EBS r12 DB can be clone on it?
  
  Can we clone EBS r12 database by restoring fair EBS DB files or through rman on the vmware that has just installed RHEL 6.
  
  Please suggest what are the means or how EBS r12 DB can be the clone of Vmware server which is not installed software EBS r12 have? What is the best.

  You must copy all applications and files nodes of level database from the source to the target servers-this is already explained/mentioned in the documents mentioned above.

  I tried to check the required RPM for EBS R12.2 on OEL6.5 based on Doc 1330701.1

  I have these missing files:

  When I tried to yum install them I got error like:

  We have a database of a growth of about 3 to 4 GB per day and we are looking for the best answer to audit needs and performance.

  We had discussions with one of the archiving solution provider, but the meeting was unable to set the backup strategy for the database. To remedy this, we are looking for the solution of compression compress the database.

  Oracle has not been able to provide results of sufficient success and validations for the performance of instance EBS r12 on prod with cuts of the advance on.

  So I would understand if someone uses it and how well has it? other suggestions are also welcome.

  You need to upgrade to Discoverer 10g / 11g for use with R12.

• R12 Oracle Diagnostics Zip files

  Sorry if this has been asked before but I think I understand Oracle's Support when downloading multiple files to a SR it is best to their zip in a single zip file.
  
  However when you are prompted by the Support to run several R12 Oracle diagnoses each html file obtained sometimes compressed in its own zip file.
  
  This creates a problem because as much as I know you cannot compress multiple files zip together and you have to go through the laborious task of extracting each html file, thus renaming the name of the file is significant and then zip and then all together in a single zip file.
  
  Not a problem for 2 or 3, but when you are prompted for the diagnosis on 20 operations it may take some time.
  
  Does anyone know a way to get around that by maybe getting the resulting HTML compressed and named with the file name, that you specified at run time?

  Yes, I read the manual, but I always try too tuts as I learn better when I have things as well as to read.

  So here's today's dilemma

  

  I did the form without problem and used the tool pen on form

  The only way I could find to duplicate a shape (or path) in the user's manual is to select the tool path (the black arrow) in the tools Panel Selection and use Alt + drag

  However, (as you can see) I need the form to stay in the same place - so I tried to slide in place - but double moves with the original shape and when I go to change the color - the color changes the two forms...?

  Also, how can I tell if I have duplicated the path or shape?

  Because once I have (we) understand how duplicate the shape & change the color of the duplicate just I so need double just the path.

  Says tut to set the Mode of path duplicated to subtract, but it is not sensible me - it would seem that the Mode should be set to subtract beforehand.

  Ideas, links or help is greatly appreciated. I'm going to continue searching the manual & FAQ

  Use the path Selection tool to take the path of access then Cmd + C Cmd + V to duplicate it. Subtract the value combined mode of a path in the path Selection tool options bar.

  Note: 341322.1 - how to change the hostname of a stream of Applications using automatic configuration

  Additionally, make sure that you clean the FND_NODES table according to the (how clean non-existent nodes or addresses IP of FND_NODES [260887.1 ID]).

  With respect to the version of Fusion Middleware based on EBS 12.2, take a look at the notes 1911660.1.  11.1.1.6 is currently the base version supplied with 12.2.4 with the 11.1.1.7 version is the highest version supported.
