N.. completely different. For your mobile network, with a strong network carrier (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

For the wireless, there is no sort directly 'reset' nothing beyond removing and reconfiguring of the WiFi network configurations. Beyond that, things as device WIPE, reloading the OS, and other very drastic measures would be required. And, important to note, I have no way of knowing if this is really necessary... you did not no matter what description of what happens, so it is not possible to understand your situation and you give more targeted recommendations.

    Good luck!

One of the evangelists 'Developer' RIM working outside South Africa, I think, so there should be someone local you can talk too.  If you message Mark Sohm (the RIM name you will see a lot on the forum - MSohm), with your e-mail address and it ask to put you in contact with the Developer Evangelist in SA, which should help.  You can tell Mark to ask me if he needs clarification.  Do not promise anything either but I hope that something will happen.

Keep Messages on SIM - check no.

There is no on the torch, which is a disappointment.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones KB24874 ' completed Application: MPTT refused approval for communication cross-application. "is displayed on the BlackBerry smartphone

1st, I started having issues, try to connect to my voicemail with T - Mob. I called them, they had to re - setup my voicemail and (update of the settings for my Blackberry to connect properly saying this would happen over a period of 4 hours). They got my answering machine until tonight here. Later this week I get a notification there are applications that have are updates available, so I go to the app world. Things a then from bad to worse - apps I tried to update, new to download and try checking 'My World', I started having the (40760 out of line device) and another code error telling me to connect? >

Do a battery pull and when the phone back up I get error message "completed Application: MPTT was denied permission to cross-application communication.'"

My phone is an unlocked Tour 9630 from Verizon, and I have a monthly plan with TMobile, including the data packet.

Lookiong after this error code (KB24874) it leads me to believe that there is some kind of conflict with the "push to talk" Service Verizon which is not supported by T-Mobile. This problem started when I called T-Mobile to the difficulty of voicemail and they have really no incentive to help me because I have an unlocked phone that they do not initially sell for me...

It is a basic app and I can't remove it... Can I disable or restrict its permissions to stop this conflict? Is there anything I can do wireless or a parameter to change since I don't have a computer at home - only at work?

And he says I have to contact Blackberry technical support for help on this... Try to find a way to contact the Blackberry Support basically sent you here on the forums...

Oh wise and powerful Blackberry Guru and Experts here - can someone help me?

YAY! I fixed it! I got tothinking on these permissions and I went back to them and reset them to "refuse" to "default" (who put them to 'allow') and attempted to access app world and it worked - everything worked!

MPTT is the name of the libraries in the application 'push to talk' and I guess it still needs to set to 'allow' in same permissions if the app is not supported by TMobile.

Thanks for the forums. Even if no one responded, have a place as it has helped me to analyze my own of all the posts that I have sought.

Hope this helps someone if they have the same problems a day

I passed to the KB26361 and followed the process, it says. Always BB wants a password recovery question answered.

Well, you used, regarding this KB, the word "process", which is the singular form of the word. However, that particular KB contains multiple processes, so I can't say with certainty if you continued through it to the specific method for failing to provide the answer to the security question, with the 'Note', it contains regarding the absence of having already (in the past) confirmed the BB ID... and, if no, then indeed the security issue cannot be circumvented.

Please specify if you have indeed found and tried this specific section in this KB.

    davcolpitts wrote:

I don't know what it means the Blackberry ID has not confirmed. How can it be confirmed when it was used on the old BB.

When you create a BBID account, you will receive an email, with a link that you must click to confirm your account (in order to validate, for the system, which you are actually available on this email address). But, if you ignore this request for confirmation, you don't stop using your BBID... for various purposes, but this effect (to automatically recover access to your BBID) is indeed blocked unless you know the answer to the Security Question you created originally (as part of the validation of identity, to ensure that you are who you claim to be).

Since you can now connect in your BBID from anywhere (for example, PC/browser), you can now check the status of your BBID confirmation. Until you solve the access to your BBID, you can't do anything with it now. BBID, like all things BB, is very safe... but the human component is critical for safety. When the human component fails, there is only so that the automatic recovery process can do to help... and you seem to be in a situation that is beyond what those automated recovery process can do.

But, to try to get the human intervention is fully described already in this same post to which I've linked to post you 3 above.

When his memory of cleaning done, Soft Reset your Blackberry (traction 30 seconds with Blackberry battery on) and then test after its finished reboot.
