Reset the quiz

I'm trying to put up a quiz with features that I'm not sure is possible in Captivate (I use 5.5).

The student passes the test at the end of a lesson and has three opportunities to re - take the quiz. After the third attempt failed, I bring to a slide that invites them to look at the content of the lesson. A button on this slide back them to the first slide in the lesson. Is it possible to also reset the quiz so that they can re - take after having examined the lesson or they will have to disconnect from the lesson?

Once the student has exhausted their maximum allowed attempts, they need to revive the lesson in order to resume the game again.

  • Reset a quiz

    Hi all

I have in my 8 Captivate project with different quizzes (1 quiz in the middle of the project) and 1 quiz during the final project.

I would like to add a special button for my student to give it the ability to reset the quiz at the end if she refused to success.

To do this, I added a button to reset the final quiz to my final quiz.

But when the learner clicks top, it directly accesses the quiz in the middle of the project instead of the final quiz.

Do you know how can I create a button to give the possibility to the learner to replay only the final quiz?

    Thank you in advance,

    Best regards

    Ana.

You mean the recovery button? This behavior is normal, because each Captivate file can have only one questionnaire, even if you have in your mind two of quizzes. Probably did not include the score for the first quiz in the total score?

You will need a conditional action to be triggered on the first slide of the "question of knowledge," which checks the value of the variable of advanced system cpQuizInfoAttempts quiz. If this variable has a value greater than 1, you are at least the second attempt for the quiz at the level of the quiz. In this case, you will need to jump the slides of knowledge and jump to the first slide of the real quiz. Conditional action will look like this:

IF cpQuizInfoAttempts is greater than 1

Jump to slideX slideX is the first slide of the real question

    OTHERWISE, continue

    Hi Ken,

With the help of the PlayBar is not the way to go, I always turn off the PlayBar to quiz slides.

There will be several attempts on Quiz level. See screenshot: here I leave 3 attempts and activated the button back. This recovery button resets the quiz but it appears on the Score slide.

That's why I mentioned in my previous answer on 2 levels. Attempts to a Question slide (in the Panel properties Quiz) will indeed have to be exhausted before leaving this question slide. With attempts to Quiz level, you'll have the workflow that you described. And really, tour of the PlayBar by assigning the value 0 to the cpCmndShowPlaybar of system variables at the entrance to the first slide of the issue and set 1 at the entrance to the first slide after slide of score. Because going back or rewinding with the playback bar does not reset the quiz.

  • Reset the cpInReviewMode?

Is it possible to reset the variable cpInReviewMode to 1-0 for a user could take a quiz after reviewing it? For example, allow a user a quiz, they did not review. Ask them to continue a slide that resets the cpInReviewMode to 0 and providing a button to go back to the quiz and resume.

All quizzes system variables are read-only.

  • How to reset a quiz in Javascript?

I want to be able to return to the quiz questions post reply if they are incorrect, but I can't find a good way to reset the response so that the user can submit.

Does anyone know the way to do it?  I am aware of the restore functionality that already exists, but it does not work for me, the user must take the quiz together before returning to their slides.  I have everything already works with the exception of the fact that the user cannot submit again a question that has already been completed.

Right, Ok then lets return to the infinite attempts, level of failure - None.

Now select each option/answer of your question, go to properties and choose the option early response continues, for once the user gives an incorrect answer, he would return.

You can use the answer Adavnce Option to do a task really interesting to take the user to another point in courses where he can read the response and attempt it.

  • Reset the numbers?

    Hello

I have a project that I built with five simple questions about it.  But the progress indicator is saying, "14 of 5", "15 of 5", etc.... "    Anyway to reset the numbering?  If this isn't the case, I drop in some legends of text and do it manually, but I would like to know if there is a fix.

    Thank you!

Are there other interactive elements in your project who are also reporting for the quiz?

Check in the project framework > screen Interaction advanced to identify the elements other than quiz slides that may be throwing your numbering.

  • reset the cpQuizInfoPointsscored

I'm working on a simple route with a quiz at the end, I installed the path so that the user connects depending on whether they have answered correctly 100% of the questions, if the user gets less than 100% then they are jumped on the first page of the questionnaire.

I use the variables cpQuizInfoPointsscored and cpQuizInfoTotalProjectPoints if they are both equal to 100, then the user navigates to the page "you have completed the course.

Unfortunately, I noticed that the cpQuizInfoPointsscored variable is cumulative, if the user takes the quiz their score is not reset, so they do not have to obtain any time the right to questions they can just get a right but do mulitple.

Is there a way to reset the cpQuizInfoPointsscored variable? I have not found a way to do it using advanced actions, and I don't have enough experience in the use of javascript.

Does anyone have any ideas how I could solve?

You shouldn't need to use variables or advanced Actions to do what you want here.

If you set the parameters of your Quiz > pass fail > percent of pass/fail for 100 and further down on the same screen allow multiple attempts. You can specify which slide into the film to jump on the quality and lack of rank.

One tip that I sometimes use is to check the option to show resume button and then place that button on the Quiz results slide right on top of the button continue.  This means that if the user does not obtain a pass mark, the only option available on the questionnaire results slide must retake the test until they get 100% or performance of attempts allowed.  At this time there the Retake button does not appear.

  • How to reset a Quiz

Anyone know how to reset a? quiz

By clicking "resume" allows me to resume the quiz, but adds his score to the score from the first time the work has been taken.

If I got 50% the first time and get 30% the second time the partition at the end of the second game shows 80%.

    Thank you

    Dave

I'm having a similar problem. I built a complex of "Troubleshooting" for a common question with a process in our software. Therefore, I give the user the possibility to return to the main screen and click on a different 'problem' they have. However, if I have a quiz in there, they can take the quiz once. The second time around, leave the old answer in there and he won't be allowed to go out (I've tried turning on Shuffle answers, but who doesn't either). It is not the end of the world, but it would be nice if I could get this to work.

  • Take the Quiz

I have a project that has a quiz 5 question classified at the end with all the multiple choice questions. If a user does not pass the test, they are transmitted at the beginning of the quiz for a recovery until they pass. In CP4, if the user has failed and was sent at the beginning of the quiz, the quiz seems to be already taken and filled with answers. This was not the case with CP3... it has been reset and ready to be recovered. Is there a way to 'reset' a quiz for a resumption without having to refresh the entire browser to reload the project? Maybe there's another way to go about this?

    TIA,

I have seen this issue before. You MUST go forward after a quiz is done. You can not jump back in case of failure. The solution to go forward to a temporary slide AFTER the quiz. Then add a message and continue a button that jumps at the beginning. If they pass, use GOTO, then a jump to the slide AFTER slide Quiz fail.

    Here's the order:
    Slide 1
    Slide 2
Quiz series - failure Slide, pass go to END
    Slide fail
    End

    Parameters
    Allow 50 attempts
The user MUST take quiz to continue

SCORM requires a movement forward to score. I had a conversation pleasant email on this subject with the developers.

There is a documented bug I have just covered (today) with the developers where the software will only take two jumps. Imagine a quiz, slides, a quiz, slides, slides, a quiz, END. In the Middle, it will not reset. they have my comp this for CP4.

I hope this helps a little.

  • & quot; Present & quot; Is not advancing the Quiz Slide

After answering a question in a quiz, I usually click the "Submit" button to advance to the next question.

But today, I made a minor change to a quiz and was testing to see if it worked.
I answered the question and click on 'submit '. Unlike in the past, a blank screen is displayed. I discovered that if I click on the 'Play' button in the toolbar for playback control, I can go to the next question.

Is this a bug or I accidentally did not alter a control that is making this happen?

Too bad... I realized that I had to just reset the time slip.
