Resizing an image in interactive report

Hi all

I got a report showing the number of columns which is image BLOB. Problem is when massive, that the line can take well more than half of the screen.

With firebug, I found that if I change add style IMG attribute, (style = "WIDTH: 200PX;") then I can resize.

But I'm not loss where to insert this. Nothing in the column attribute in the Image column in interactive report that allows me to do this.

Would appreciate if anyone can share a tip on how to resize image showing the interactive report.

Thank you.

    Hello

    I created an interactive report in apex 4.2.6. To customize the image, I added the HTML code in the report interactive HTML Page header

    < style type = "text/css" >

    .apexir_WORKSHEET_DATA td [headers = "IMAGE_CONTENT"]

    IMG {}

    height = "200";

    Width = "80";

    }

    < / style >

    Now the Apex version is upgraded to 5.0... The images in the report have become major... Why this code does not work in apex 5.0? Is it possible to limit the size of an image in the interactive reports page?

    Thank you

    Toddler

    Kiran Pawar says:

    As the interactive is rewritten from the ground-up in the new version 5.0 of the APEX, there is no class 'apexir_WORKSHEET_DATA' in IR in APEX 5.0, change your css to:

    You must also add "IMAGE_CONTENT" as a static ID in the image column, like APEX 5.0 uses internal ID in the ID attributes of the IR instead of alias columns table header cells.

    4.2, page-level CSS should be in CSS Inline (without tags style) property page, and not the Header HTMLpage.

  • Set the size of the image in an interactive report

    Hello

    I'm under APEX 4.1 on Oracle 11 g. I'm trying to resize images in the infrared or a classic report to 100px x 100px. The images are different, but all dimensions bigger than the size I want to display. The images are stored images as.jpg, and I need to access it via a URL. I have this in my select statement: "< img src =https://aaa.bbbbb.edu:10056/inbpics/' |" ' " I00 | substr (spriden_id, 5, 5) | '. JPG > ' pic and it tries to display the image, but it displays the image at its original size. I try to add the values for height and width in the query, as: "< img src =https://rand.wvnet.edu:10056/inbpics/' |" ' " I00 | substr (spriden_id, 5, 5) | '. Height JPG width 100 = 100 = > ' pic but the image is not displayed because it adds height = 100 at the end of the path to the image.

    I know I could create thumbnails of images, but there are thousands of images with more added constantly, and it would be too much work to try to catch up.

    Is there a way to set the height and width of an image in a report?

    Thank you

    Bob

    Hello

    Modify your query to include 'class' for images.

    'https://aaa.bbbbb.edu:10056 / inbpics /' | 'I00 ' | substr (spriden_id, 5, 5) | '. JPG > '

    Now put after the CSS in the HTML Page header or page footer.

    Kind regards

  • All images appear as the same interactive report... APEX 4.2.

    Hi, I have worked with apex oracle 4.2.2 window 7 theme 25

    I met the problem when I create interactive report with the BLOB column, I create the sample report and I used the GET_BLOB_FILE_SRC function to display the image in the report but I face these problems
    1 - the images do not appear when I run the report and all the images are empty
    2-i press should edit on any column and go edit page and then return to report once again and the image appear
    3-all folder have the same image (the image with the id that I pressed on)
    I mean when I pressed the record with ID 1 and go to edit the page, then back to the report the image with ID 1 appear in all records in the report, and when to change the id of the same question appear. I don't know what the problem is.
    pls advice me

    Thank you

    Didn't it occur to you that it is important to understand exactly how you have used the function in the report? What is the report query?

    but I face these problems

    Looks like you pass item values to the edit page for the values of service instead of the report column. See the example of SELECT in apex_file.get_blob_file_src to see how to use in a report. The values of p_v1 (and p_v2 if necessary) must come from columns of the report, not the page elements.

    Why do you need to use the function at all? Declarative using BLOB format is recommended.

  • Adding images to a report interactive

    Hello
    I made an interactive report based on two tables. It has a field 'Contribution '. Depending on the condition, I want to show a smiley face beside the lines that have input = 100. Pls advise how to proceed.

    I checked the syntax, it should work. There is nothing that needs to be done to show images.
    Have you checked the operator as I mentioned in the previous post?
    To check simply set display as "show as text (escape special characters). You should see the '' string...

  • IMAGE Blob of a view in an interactive report.

    From a view, I create an interactive report. Two tables of interest are the view:

    Customers (ID, name, Logo, Mimetype, Filename, Last_Update_Date)
    Projects (ID, title, CustomerID)

    View combines the two in
    QryProjectDashboard (ID, Title, CustomerID, CustomerLogo, LogoMimetype, LogoFilename, LogoLastUpdateDate)

    I hope that the joints and such are obvious.

    In preparing the report, I add all the columns above the view. In the settings field customer Logo, I tried to put in place the mask Format download BLOB that requires:

    1. the format of the mask = Download
    2 blob Table = QryProjectDashboard
    3 column = CustomerLogo Bob
    4 primary Key CustomerID = 1
    5 Col MimeType = LogoMimeyype
    6 Col Filename = LogoFilename
    7. last Udate pass BLOB = LogoLastUpdateDate
    8. content-disposition = Inline
    9 Download Link Text = DOWNLOAD

    BTW, I use all caps in the views and input fields, and double checked all the spelling.

    By clicking on apply in the format mask window is ok, but when I click on apply in the column definition window, he complains of 'QryProjectDashboard' does not exist. So, it doesn't seem to like the view.

    So the problem by using a view? How to wire to the top of the Blob object if the report is based on a view? All foreign keys are set up, and there is no private known issues.

    Hello

    I have not tested with view.
    But as workaround, if you just write even select in region report that you have in mind. Then use actual table to the BLOB format mask.

    ]]>

    horizontalCenter = red '0' = '0' / >

    Looks like the interaction of Red/horizontalCenter with the add/remove scroll bars causes a loop. Can you please fill a bug report and post the link here? (Or let me know if you prefer that I have put it).

    The workarounds are:

    1. in the fitToWindow() method to subtract enough pixels to consider both sides of the border, for example:

    public function fitToWindow (): void {}
    IMG. Height = borderContainer.height - 2;
    IMG. Width = borderContainer.width - 2;
    }

    2. always keep the scroll bars displayed, for example:

    3. instead of use BorderContainer use SkinnableContainer/group and draw the border outside the container, for example:

    horizontalCenter = red '0' = '0' / >

    Let me know if these solutions of workaround for the case also reduces work for your application.

  • Customize the Action menu in the interactive report

    To change the word 'Action' in the menu of the interactive report.

    Apex 4, we had the 'Image of the Action menu' option, but the Apex 5 this option disappeared.

    This isn't in known issues in the Apex 5!

    Someone knows how to set an image or other text to the menu Action interactive report?

    What you need to do is ask questions properly, providing useful information that allowing the problem can be reproduced, rather than unnecessary screenshots.

    This is the base of SQL. Oracle run internal SQL training courses?

    There is no correlation in your "virtual column" subquery to restrict the number of students for each college. The request must be:

    select
        c.collegename
      , c.collegecode
      , c.coordname
      , c.coordemail
      , (select count(s.student_register_number) as stud_count from qb_student_details s where c.collegecode = s.collegecode) "STUDENT_COUNT"
    from
        qb_college_details c

    However, unless there are a large number of colleges to which no students registered, it is likely that it will be more efficient to use an outer join:

    select
        c.collegename
      , c.collegecode
      , c.coordname
      , c.coordemail
      , count(s.student_register_number) student_count
    from
        qb_college_details c
          left outer join qb_student_details s
            on c.collegecode = s.collegecode
    group by
        c.collegename
      , c.collegecode
      , c.coordname
      , c.coordemail

  • Apex #4.2 interactive report details

    Hi all

    In our application, we had implemented using interactive report, the following clarifications required.

    Version of the apex # 4.2

    THAT IS TO SAY #10

    Theme # Light Blue 100

    Q1. By default under the action button see us option "Download".

    -Can rename us export.

    -can we get outside Actions, i., e download option download can only visible when they choose the Actions button but the user is after button create as shown below.

    Q2. For each heading they can filter data using the order ascending or descending, as shown below

    -Suppose that I had selected in ascending order, but if I want to deselect the option there is no option to do what ever they have selected it will show, how can deselect us this option.

    -Now we are given as "Asia/Europe/region" we show of table d/b, but asks the end user to have the option as 'All' when they select it should show all regions in time?

    Q3. In our application, we have a button as "De-Active" when they click on this button we put active_flag as "N" as shown below, these data in the reports should be visible in color "red" to distinguish between them, at the bottom of the screen shot if we look at we see active_flag "N" this line full interactive report must be included in the color red?

    Q4. Created the form using 'Form on a table with the report' in this case when the button is clicked Create he will refer to the form, and if we do not select the required fields and click on ' submit 'see us error message like', we can remove "1 error has occurred" and see the def only messages.»

    Q5. In our application we use an image for the replica as shown below, but the user has asked to replace it with something of a Clone of the image, where we can get this image to replace this particular image.

    Q6. In our application, we use a 'level' tab and to display messages of success that we are showing to the left, as requested by the user can be messages on the screen as shown in the screen two as on the green color to display messages there.

    Screen 2:

    Kind regards

    Hi all

    Thank you very much to all those who had provided solutions for my request above, now I have some other clarifications that I will raise individual threads.

    Question #3: User functionality of highlight of interactive report. Citation: Re: change the color of line in an interactive report based on a column-> correct answer value

    Question #5: On Google image search. Download it! Publish the shared components and change the reference to the link column. Here is a picture of the :-> useful sample

    Question 1, you can add a link to the region to perform the action download...: http://www.apexninjas.com/blog/2012/05/create-a-custom-download-link-for-an-interactive-report/ -> correct answer

    Question #4: See the following thread: remove the number of Validation errors-> correct answer

  • Apex 4.2, display image in the report.

    Hi all

    I'm a noob here Apex. I came across some problems with image display in a report. When I tried to have a report on a form of simple image download, it works perfectly with dbms_lob.getlength("IMAGEFILE") 'IMAGEFILE', workaround. Interactive report based on my table structure, already established the appropriate sections in report page for make my life easy.

    Problem when I tried to create the report of a SQL query combining three tables (Image3, CustomerDB, PATMAN2). The report now generates a page where I can not have any selection of BLOB. The textual part, appears perfectly. I think my sql code is fine, but my generation of form Apex is faulty, but I need help to solve the problems.

    -----------------

    Here's the SQL code of the image gallery that works very well.

    ------------------

    Select "PUBLICATION_NO."

    "FILENNAME,"

    DBMS_LOB. GetLength ("IMAGEFILE") "IMAGEFILE",.

    "MIME TYPE"

    'PDFNAME '.

    DBMS_LOB. GetLength ("pdflink") "PDFLINK."

    "LASTUPDATED"

    "ID".

    of ' #OWNER # '. " IMAGE3.

    ---------------------

    And here is the one which does not show correctly the BLOB type.

    ---------------------

    Select PATMAN2.ID as ID,

    PATMAN2.PA as PA,

    PATMAN2. SUCH as TITLE,

    PATMAN2. OTHERS like the OTHERS,

    DBMS_LOB. GetLength (pdflink) as PDFLINK,

    IMAGE3. MIMETYPE as MIMETYPE,

    PATMAN2. CUSTOMER_ID as CUSTOMER_ID

    CUSTOMERDB CUSTOMERDB,

    PATMAN2 PATMAN2

    where PATMAN2. CUSTOMER_ID = CUSTOMERDB. CUSTOMER_ID

    and PATMAN2. PUBLICATION_NO = IMAGE3. PUBLICATION_NO (+)

    Sorry, no idea what you mean by that.

    Problem when I tried to create the report of a SQL query combining three tables (Image3, CustomerDB, PATMAN2). The report now generates a page where I can not have any selection of BLOB.

    Still, it is far from clear what you mean by "that the report now generates a page where I can't have no matter what selection for BLOB".

    PATMAN2 PATMAN2

    where PATMAN2. CUSTOMER_ID = CUSTOMERDB. CUSTOMER_ID

    Did you specify IMAGE DOWNLOAD and BLOB format masks for the IMAGEFILE and PDFLINK columns? Select "BLOB" in the column of the number/Date Format attribute, then fill the section attributes of Blob column as requires it.

    We cannot solve what we cannot see. We do not have your tables or data so we can not replicate this for ourselves. Please reproduce the problem with an example on apex.oracle.com and developer comments login information for the workspace here.

    Welcome to the forum: read the FAQ and the forum threads sticky (if you have not already done so) and update your profile with a real handle instead of '958442 '.

    When you have a problem, you will get an answer faster, more efficient including information as much information as possible from the outset. This should include:

  • Full version of APEX
  • Complete operating system DB, version, edition, host
  • Architecture of Web server (EPG, SST or APEX listener/host operating system)
  • Browser (s) and version (s) used
  • Theme
  • Model (s)
  • Region/section type (s) (particularly as to distinguish if a 'report' is a standard report, an interactive report, or indeed a 'update report' (i.e. a tabular presentation))

    With APEX, we also had the chance to have a great resource in apex.oracle.com where we can reproduce and share problems. Reproduce things is the best way to solve most of the questions, particularly those relating to the layout and Visual formatting. If you expect a detailed response it is appropriate that you take on an important part of the effort by getting as much as possible with an example of the problem on apex.oracle.com before asking for help on specific issues, then we can see firsthand.

    It also helps explain what you tried (even better, Show us what you have tried on apex.oracle.com).

    You can view the IR to the default icon via a dynamic Action: + {: identifier of the thread = 2187972} + (obviously using "ICON" rather than "RETAIL"...)

    However, do you really intend to make use of other interactive report features? It seems that the report display is controlled by custom buttons, rather than shares of IR (filters, control breaks etc.). If this is the case then a standard report based on a custom template may be a better option than to try to work around all that offer interactive reports.
