[Resolved] find versions and generations of MotoGP

There are (from August 2015) 3 'generations' of MotoGP. How can we distinguish between them, alias "distinguish their"? Note I am not asking "what is the best", or what are their different feature sets. What I'm asking is more like this:

Suppose someone hands you an unlocked phone. He received a score of Motorola on the back, so that you know it's a droid (Android running) or CyanogenMod. However nothing on the phone (physically) said 'MotoGP', much less what generation. You go to settings > phone comments > model number (at least, for Android - don't know what the path is for CM). What you should see for each generation?

Otherwise, there is a better way to determine a given MotoGP belongs to which generation?
