Restart the scheduled task when the server is restarted

Hi all

I have a work planned and executed through Service Center control. Then, the server has a regular job of system which restarts every week.

I would like to know what is happening with this scheduled task when the server is restarted. I understand that I must again manually lunch at work.

Anyone know what is the easiest way to automate a task that starts the task OWB?

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Concerning
Victor.

Hi Victor,

I understand that I must again manually lunch at work.

you don't need lunch again job - OWB.
Employment in the Oracle database still in State SCHEDULED after restart of the database.
It is a problem of OWB, she had lost the synchronization status of a task planned with Oracle database

Kind regards
Oleg

  • Disable the scheduled task when the cover is closed

    Hi all

    I'm working on a project using a Panel (with several buttons) and scheduled tasks.

    The problem is that when I close the Panel, scheduled tasks continue to run in the background.

    So, I wanted to know if there is a way to kill these tasks when the cover is closed.

    Thank you for your time!

    Ekibyo

    I don't think you don't need none of that: what you need to do is store the Panel object in a global variable or a property of your script object and then try to access in the task code.

    So let's say that you store the window in a global variable:

    var MyScriptPanel = this;

    Then in the task code, you should be able to test if the Panel object is still valid:

    try
    {
         // Atempt to access a dummy variable:
         // - will return undefined if the Panel is open
         // - should throw an error if the panel is closed
        MyScriptPanel.a;

         // Do your thing and reschedule the task
    }
    catch (err)
    {
        //    Cancel the task
    }

    Tell me if it works.

    After using many scheduleTask I must say don't really like it: I have not tested in CC, but you may notice in CS4 to 6 that it resets the cursor when the mouse is not moving or ignore some shortcuts keyboard, so I would recommend not not to schedule your task too often, or at least give the user a way to select the frequency of execution.

    EDIT: as your line is not fair:

    panel.onClose = Panel_Close();

    It should be...

    panel.onClose = Panel_Close;

    ... with no '()' so that you copy only the body of the function in the callback to onColse. But I wouldn't rely on the events of the UI for something that should work every time.

  • MISSED SCHEDULED TASKS FROM SIMULTANEOUSLY

    I run Windows 7, 64 Bit, Home Basic edition. I have run several tasks planned several based on VB Scripts and Batch files. All my scheduled tasks are sometimes triggered when I'm most likely available on my laptop. To trigger my scheduled tasks, a basic batch file is made and preceded by 'Microsoft Anna' asking me if I want to run a specific scheduled task using Sapi Speak. for example.

    "You want to run Disk Clean up" [Microsoft Anna]

    A VB Script window will appear 'Click on Yes or no'

    If I ignore this window, Microsoft Anna will once again ask me after, say twenty minutes, depending on how many times will be repeated this task as shown in the properties of the scheduled task triggers.  If I click on Yes, the task is run. If I click No., Microsoft Anna will once again ask me, after twenty minutes if I want to run the task.

    While I'm on the computer, it is easy to monitor scheduled tasks.  However, at some point, when some scheduled tasks are supposed to work and my laptop is turned off, all my scheduled tasks are triggered to take place on the 10th minute when I log on next. Microsoft Anna is enough time to simply announce a task and when I click Yes, others have already turned into errors and this is reflected in a separate window Script VB notifying the same.

    I admit that all of my scheduled tasks are well staggered to avoid coming into conflict with each other. However, should there have missed scheduled tasks, they want all start simultaneously on the 10 th minute. It's very annoying at times and I do have to manually perform all scheduled tasks fail once again, defeating the purpose of execution of scheduled tasks.

    Is there a work around to stagger missed scheduled tasks, when they are triggered on my next log on.

    Rajdeep salvation,

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

    I wish you post your query in the TechNet forums and see if you can get a response.

  • Scheduled task hidden

    I created a scheduled task a few weeks back and things were very good.

    Since the implementation of the scheduled task, my guy Server reinstalled CF in order to be able to have mutiple instances. Who installed and was done without any problems. After the proceeding, re - install, there was a problem with the task of schedled, so I removed it. After his withdrawal, the next day I discovered that the scheduled task is always the treatment even though I can find no trace of it is planned more.

    We have since re-installed the bodies again. Did not fix it.

    What can I do to get this schedule completely removed from my server? For now, I just removed all the code of the page as no problem, but this isn't the end solution I'm looking for.

    Thanks for any help.

    You can try to change your file of neo - cron.xml, see link below for more information.  I suspect that this file was not overwritten by your new installation.  Remember to save this file before making changes.

  • restart of the computer from standby when I press start on the system unit, but not when a scheduled task is started

    Windows XP Professional SP3, updates, motherboard Asus P4P800 series (2006). The original system dates back to 2002, but there have been many additions and replacement upgrade. More recently, 2011, two old hard drives have been replaced (XP had destroyed itself requiring a reinstallation), with a much larger and HD, and the cpu has been replaced by a 3 GHz one.

    I've configured the BIOS to enable the use of standby mode (standby). I wanted to be able to run scheduled backup jobs early in the morning, a little before I wake up normally. The goal was to conserve energy. Whenever I leave the computer for more than an hour or two, I put it in sleep mode. In recent years, that it worked well.

    Scheduled tasks are still, in fact, more surely than ever. But now, when I press the Start button on the system unit, the operating system is restarted rather than restore the State of the system at the time of Eve. This happened almost constantly for maybe a week. I was always a guard never enter sleep mode when I'm aware of any application running who has not completed a requested operation (save a file, defragment a disk, etc.).

    I searched on the basis of knowledge, but not found any problems like that. There has been no hardware changes, no new devices; only change of important software (but it is difficult to see how it might be relevant) was the resettlement of Java Runtime Environment 6.x to support the help of OpenOffice. Although I have not checked, I am reasonably sure that all drivers are up-to-date.

    No idea why this should suddenly become a problem or how to fix?

    Hello

    I suggest you follow these methods and check.

    Method 1: View the steps suggested in the following link.

    How to solve the problems of hibernation and standby in Windows XP

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/907477

    Method 2: Use the Powercfg.exe utility to restore the default power mode

    You can use the Powercfg.exe utility to copy the power mode of the user by default to the currently logged user profile. You can do this because eating patterns are only related to individual user accounts. To copy the default user schema using the Powercfg.exe utility, follow these steps:

    1. click on Start, click run, type cmdand then click OK.

    2. at the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:
    powercfg /RestoreDefaultPolicies

    Method 3: How to perform the check and clean boot if the problem persists.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

    NOTE: Once you check the functionality, follow the suggestions under steps to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state.

    I hope this helps!

    Do a clean install (re)-:

    • Uninstall your current version of Firefox and remove the Firefox program folder before installing this copy of the Firefox installer.
    • Do not remove the data of a personal nature if you uninstall the current version.
    • It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.

    Your bookmarks and other profile data is stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a relocation, but make sure that you do not select delete data of a personal nature if you uninstall Firefox.

  • How to set up the database restarts automatically when the server starts?

    Hello

    What is involved if I configure Oracle database starts automatically when the server is started/restarted?

    I guess that change the following entry in/etc/oratab
    DEVDB:/u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1:N
    TO
    DEVDB:/u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1:Y
    is not sufficient - there is more than that. But what is it?

    We can also configure the listener to automatically re / start?

    I guess that everything what is the solution, it will also apply to Oracle 11 GR 2 databases/ASM - right?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

    Below is one example of autostart services database and the listener.

    1 > make/etc/oratab file entry Y as:

  • credentials are not passed to the script that is run as a scheduled task

    I create a new thread since I did not see any action on the existing, where I posted (not sure if anyone saw it because the age of the thread).  For reference, see http://communities.vmware.com/message/1406190.  But the main thing is the execution of a script as a scheduled task is not correctly the credentials of the Windows service account to the cmdlet Connect-VIServer.  When you run this cmdlet, it throws the following error:

    SE connect-VIServer: & lt; SourcePath & gt;\%APPDATA%\VMware\credstore to & lt; SourcePath & gt; \scriptname.ps1:41 tank: 17

    Anyway, the rumor was that it was corrected in PowerCLI 4.0, but this doesn't seem to be the case as Alan Renouf (and now me) have pointed out.  On my original message in this thread...

    My two cents to Rob, Luc and Alan. I had this problem with PowerCLI 4 as well. However, I think it's sort of fixed. Here's my situation:

    (1) I have an account with appropriate permissions vCenter AD service.

    (2) I have run the scheduled task of options with this service AD account while connected to the server and it works of course very well.

    (3) I log off.

    (4) script continues to work fine until the server is restarted (which of course happens every month for Microsoft patches).

    (5) to resolve what I can simply log in with my account service and connect immediately - I have not even interactively run the script to fix.

    So it seems to me that connecting you must create the APPDATA % environment variable and apparently a disconnect is not clear the variable correctly or something.

    My main question, that is why "Connect-VIServer" even trying to make a call to that path? Must not only do that when I call it "Get-VICredentialStoreItem"? My script is done simply:

    [string]$strVCServer = "servername.domain"
    Connect-VIServer -Server $strVCServer

    I'm not trying to save credentials as pass through must work properly and be a bit more secure.

    Hi Allen,.

    Yes, the problem is solved in U1. He is not related to PS 2.

    Kind regards

  • Scheduled tasks run twice after the upgrade to MX7

    I've recently upgraded to CFMX7 and now my scheduled tasks are run twice. I recreated all the tasks, restarted the server and made sure I'm on V 7.0.2 but nothing seems to help. Is there a solution for this out there?

    Thanks for the reply Matt! Actually, you helped solve my problem indirectly. The xml file does not duplicate list, but when I went to check the xml file, I noticed that there are 2 installations of coldfusion, one for MX and one for MX7. I checked the services and of course the CFMX and CFMX7 running at the SAME TIME! What a great feature! All you have to do is anyway for someone else out there with the same problem:

    Click Start/Run, type services.msc and click ok.
    Scroll down the page until you see the coldfusion services.
    right click on all coldfusion MX7 services are not labeled, and go to properties.
    you want to stop the service and set to manual start so that it does not start again to restart.

  • Configure the IDRAC settings without having to restart the server

    We have a dell r610. I put an IP address in its idrac last night and ping it, then powered by the server. Today, I can't ping the IP address of the idrac. Put aside from getting to the site, restart the machine and go into the settings of idrac way, is there a way you can access these settings and make changes while the server is in place?

    Hello Roger

    Yes, as long as you have a way to access the system. If you have the operating system remotely, you can install OpenManage Server Administrator. OMSA has an iDRAC section where you can change the IP address of the iDRAC.

    OMSA installation also installs the RACADM tools, so you will be able to execute RACADM commands as well. You can use the RACADM commands to perform all the tasks that you can do so via the GUI, some which are not available in the GUI.

    When you get OMSA is installed, you can check the status of the components of the system. If you see any problems then I would suggest that your first troubleshooting step be restart iDRAC. You can restart the iDRAC independent of the system, there will be no interruption of service to the server when you restart the iDRAC. The command RACADM to restart the iDRAC is:

    racadm racreset

    The command RACADM to iDRAC default configuration is:

    racadm racresetcfg
