• Popup LOV selected the value not in session state

  I have a pop LOV element on a page in my application.  Once the item has been selected in the list presented, I would like to use as part of a select statement.  Select statement failed.  It turns out that the value I want the popup THAT LOV is not being saved in session state, so of course the select statement fails.  I determine this by clicking on the session menu item in the developer bar - the item itself presents itself, but the value is empty.

  What would cause a popup LOV value choice not finish by in session state, and how do I make sure he gets there?

  If you need the value in a SQL report, you can just set "Elements of Page to submit" in your report to your LOV element definition. Otherwise, create a dynamic fire action when your LOV is changed with a set of pl/sql null process action; then set Page elements to send to your LOV element.

  Alternatively you could do it manually with your own function/Manager javascript using the '$s' Apex API by creating a dynamic action that JavaScript is triggered then the loading of the page:

  Changing the value in LOV only updates the HTML code, the element must be submitted to the server so that the value that will be put in session state. The gurus can explain more, but the above methods are what I use depending on the situation.

• Want to change my screen external external screen to the mirrored display option.

  I'm trying to connect my Acer laptop to my Sony with HDMI TV.  When I plugged the the area of the external screen HDMI cable appeared offering me 3 choices; display mirroring, extended or external only.  I took an external display only.  However, instead of showing the screen of the laptop to the TV, two screens were black. The signal wasn't going to the TV. So I thought I could at least change external display only to in reverse, so if nothing shows up on the TV, then at least the screen will become not empty for the laptop. But now when I connected the HDMI cable to the laptop monitor and the TV are empty, so I can't change the settings. I can't return the new display detected, where I could change the setting. When I unplug the HDMI cable to get my rear monitor, the external screen does not give me the 3 options because there is no HDMI cable.  How do I get external display to change the only mirrored external display option?

  whenever you select a value from the pop-up window, the previous value of the textfield object is replaced with the new.
  But what I want is to add values separated by a comma (for several emailadresses, like "[email protected], [email protected],...") »).
  necessarily to do this (or desired), by clicking on the icon for the second time, the search field should not contain the value actually (if it is done, the lov is filtered by this value).

  A standard popup LOV will not give you this functionality. You must create your own custom context menu LOV. If you can, you must use a LOV shuttle instead of popup. This one is more manageable. See this example if it helps:

However, when I try to test it in the Apex, if the user selects this message, null is not returned to the form, instead, the text of the message is returned.   You can put in a position to submit the calculation for your LOV as element that is your LOV = "there is no list" then put it to NULL w/PL/SQL

  Not the condition watch Object Exists, when the query do not return all the lines.

  BTW, it's better to use bind variable: APP_USER function v. APP_USER is also always capitalized

  the title of this discussion may seem strange, but I'll try to explain why I need this:

  A user has the ability to connect on my APEX application. There are several tabs in my application that are visible only if a certain SQL statement returns a value which is not the case by default. The user has also the ability to download a file that is transferred to an external system that analyzes the file and writes the data in the database. During this writing process - which may take several minutes - conditions for some of the tabs to show the will becomes real (-> the query will return a value). When the user refreshes the page manually, the tabs will be displayed. However, I want the tabs will appear automatically when the condition is met.

  Is it possible to refresh the page as soon as the query returns a value? It is perhaps possible to check it on the client side and trigger a refresh of the page when the condition is met. It would be even better if only the tabset has been updated, but refreshing the full page is fine as well.

  Here is an overview of how it can be done

  This is possible thanks to a dynamic action being performed on a timer.

  View default tabs and dynamic action hide them on loading the page if they are not to be considered

  Create a dynamic action that will execute your query every 5 seconds or more

  If the query returns data, you can use the dynamic action to show your tabs using javascript

  There are actually more than 3 SECRETARIES and SALESMEN.  Which does not cause an error; the only first 3 are shown.

  What is your version of the database BTW?
  10.2 and upward, you can use the XMLTable.
