Reversed icons in a sort of classic report?

Hello
Using version 4.0.1.00.03 of the Apex:
When I create a 'classic' of the former report and allow sorting on a column, the arrow on the icon seems
to point in the opposite direction.
This caused me to pause, consider this and then do a bit of digging on this forum. Nothing
relevant found in my limited research, so everyone knows it?
For example, on a character column, a bottom-up research shows an icon with the arrow pointing down...
The arrow pointing upwards usually in those cases windows Explorer.
Curious to hear comments.

Hello

Yes, it seems that Yes. But you can restore the icons of the report attributes

  • Possible to sort in classic report and stopped by?

    Hello

    In conventional reports, we have the option to enable sorting for a report. However, we are not then allowed to have stopped by in the sql query. Is it possible to have active both by using workaround?

    Thank you!

    Delete the order of your query. Then, you can set a sort order by default for the report on the order_amount column. This default sort order would be used as long as the user does not change the order.

  • Sort a hyperlink column in the classic report

    Hi I have a classic report with a hyperlink column. And I need enable sorting on this. What I did is

    Select '< a href = "somelink" >' | party_name | "< /a > ' party_name party_name table.

    However, I just need to show the hyperlink column in the report. Couple of questions

    1. How can I create party_name-based sorting logic using the updated classic sorting standard? Given that all a hyperlink names begin with < - sorting is random. I added the second party_name column an active by default sort on it, but given that the column can not be shown, is not a good way.

    2. I was wondering if there is another way to sort this classic report hyperlink column as shown in the hyperlink and sorting is enabled on the report?

I use the hyperlinks on query sql rather that the link of the column is because we have about 5 unions in this query from different sources and each of those interviewing him, having a hypertext link and additional formatting like "BOLD", color etc, under certain conditions. Query1 will return only the party_name, the second query United would have hypertext links, the third would fat etc. The union of the request is not made to take into account this feature, but because of the nature of the data.  While the apex feature works very well, the only question I hit is the hyperlink column sorting in a classic report. Where the simplified question. Individual responses, I've had have been very useful and have been applied successfully.

    In this case, the request for a classic report that has column link, how to sort would work it would be on a regular character column.

    Option 1 (deeply inelegant): Generate an HTML comment containing the sort at the beginning of the column value. The value must be sortable using the character comparison semantics, so dates must follow the format YYYYMMDD, numbers padded to the same length with zeros etc: Re: problem with the Date command

    Option 2A: Expand the Expression HTML technique described in your previous thread (marking dynamically of columns in a "BOLD" for the highest value report) to include the tags.

    Option 2b: Use the HTML Expression technique described in the previous thread to include custom data attributes and use these to add links to dynamic actions.

    If this is done on several pages, and then create a view all the necessary logic and the columns which you can keep it in one place.

I have TotPGPV with sorting sequence 1 desc and NewTOTPGPV with sorting sequence 2 desc. I have Count1, Count5 with the sort column. What I'm asking is when the report is run can column sorting to default Count1 and Count5 descending instead of the ascendant. I don't see anywhere to set the default value for the sort column.

    Hi - on the report of the page attributes - that you show in your attached screenshot - you can select the columns to sort on the sort sequence as well as the direction of the sort, i.e. for a given column, you can choose to allow sorting on this column, what position this column must be in the sort sequence and whether to sort Ascending or descending by default (i.e. '1' means sort this column first and bottom-up and "1 desc") sort this column first and downhill). Don't forget that once you click on one of the headings of column during execution, it changes your sort settings and these settings are stored in your preferences, that is, they are used again the next time you log in your application and rerun the report.

  • Default sort of the classic report does not seem to work

    4.2.1

    THM 2

    I have a classic report consisting of an underlying sql with 3 unions. The columns include a party_name (varchar) and two numeric fields.

    for example only select total_cost, cost_to_company, party_name, apex_item.checkbox2(1,party_id)

    (

    Select a.party_id, a.party_name party_name, a.cost_to_company, table a.total_cost when certain conditions

    Select a.party_id, a.party_name party_name, a.cost_to_company, table a.total_cost when certain conditions

    Union

    Select a.party_id, a.party_name party_name, a.cost_to_company, table a.total_cost when certain conditions

    )

    In our real-world scenario, these three applications are on different tables and different even if some elements are all the same (including the type of data, etc.), where the union

    Because I need activate sorting using the report attributes. I put the tri reporting attributes such as 1 - total_cost desc, 2 - Party_name growing.

    However, when we run the report, if the total_cost for different parts is 0, the sorting should be based on party_name. That does not seem to happen. It still sorts out randomly. I'm wonderingm if it's because there are trade unions and no order of in the query.

    No idea how to solve this problem?

    Nothing to do with unions.

    It looks like it is connected to your thread previous marking dynamically of columns in a "BOLD" for the highest value report. Is it? If so, where are the links generated to conditionally and other HTML elements? They are more likely to cause sorting problems. Instead of posting question after question about one aspect of the problem after another, you get a solution much faster together by creating an example on apex.oracle.com and specifying the complete requirements.

  • Reset the sort sequence in classic reports.

    I have a classic report with two sortable columns, product number (sequence 1 type) and the name of the product. If the sort order is changed by a user, subsequent executions or the report tracks appear with the last sort order of the report.
    For example;
    The user runs the report and change the descending sort of the product name.
    B the user running the report for the first time and sees the report in the product name descending sort order.

    I gave the name of the product a sort sequence 2, but it made no difference.

    The sort order can be reset or updated?

  • Classic report command SQL ORA-00933 not properly completed when you enable sorting

    Hello

    Oracle 11g r2, APEX 4.1.1.00.23.

    I have a few reports of type SQL Query (PL/SQL, returning the SQL query function body), so the source is as follows:
    begin
      return points_ui.get_points_query(:P0_FILTER_TYPE);
    end;
    Without no sort option, the report is made successfully.

    But I got the following error during a test to enable the sorting option for a column:
    ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended
    I read about this error on the Oracle forums, and I saw it was a bug in an older version, but I thought it was fixed in 4.0.2...

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Yann.

    The Order By clause and the column sort is kind of mutually exclusive.
    If your SQL in the report area has an Order By inside and you apply the sort order on the columns in the report attributes tab, then errors occur during execution.

  • Bug in the classic report based on the function?

    A simple example, suppose I want a classic report in which I can change the sort field by selecting in the P1_SORTFIELD element. Apex 4.2, I was able to implement the report using the PL/SQL function

    return "select ENAME, SAL from EMP by | : P1_SORTFIELD;

    I can't do that in Apex 5 on my workspace apex.oracle.com. I either get a runtime error "SQL command not completed property" if I use generic column names, or 'not all variables' if parse error I do not have.

    My real application use generic column names, so I am more interested in a solution to this.  For example, I tried to create a report with the source

    return "select ENAME from EMP by ENAME;

    If I run using the generic column names I always get the runtime error "command SQL not successfully completed.

    Is this a bug?

    Ed Sciore

    Hi Ed,

    I ran your application in debug mode and displays the following error output.

    show report
    determine column headings

    ...Execute Statement: select ENAME, SAL from EMP order by ename
    order by 1 nulls last

    Logging exception:

    ORA-06512: at "APEX_050000.WWV_FLOW_DYNAMIC_EXEC", line 411

    See the other "order by null 1 last" that is added to your statement. This is what the origin of the problem. The additional order by is caused by the "Sortable" indicator enabled for your columns. If you disable the sort, because will work you who control in your SQL statement in the report well.

    I'll take a look tomorrow, if we had a different behavior in 4.2 to automatically disable these flags and how it is actually easy to determine safe at the time of the design that your pl/sql function returns a SQL statement with an ORDER BY clause.

  • Conditional expression HTML in a classic report-

    Apex 4.2

    I currently have a column of the report in a classic report that has an attribute of formatting of column as below. It works well, it displays a map icon that when you click on it turns off to google maps and put 2 geo points on a map. However, I need to change this report column so that the HTML expression will be different according to the value that is returned if the column returns the value 1 then the Expression HTML will be slightly different.

    EXPRESSION OF HTML

    < span class = "map_ #BROKE_GEO #_ #VALID_GEO_CODES #" > < a target = _blank href = "f? p = & APP_ID.:323: & SESSION.: P323_PARCEL_ID, P323_SCAN_ID, P323_PROP_ADDR1, P323_PROP_POSTCODE, P323_PROP_LAT, P323_PROP_LONG, P323_SCAN_LAT, P323_SCAN_LONG: & P341_PARCEL_ID, #SCAN_ID #, #LINE_1 #, #POST_CODE #, #PROPERTY_GEO_LAT #, #PROPERTY_GEO_LONG # #SCAN_GEO_LAT #, #SCAN_GEO_LONG #"> < img src =" #WORKSPACE_IMAGES #& P341_IMG_MAP_ #BROKE_GEO #. "alt ="Google Maps"title ="Google Maps"> < / has > < / span >"

    I think I can do this in the source report directly with a case statement and include the HTML code for the column but how do you manage all the quotes in the SQL statement.

    for example

    Original request

    SELECT

    parcel_id

    status

    LOCATION

    scan_date

    scan_id

    driver_comments

    card_id

    , valid_geo_codes - it's my html topic

    property_geo_lat

    property_geo_long

    scan_geo_lat

    scan_geo_long

    broke_geo

    line_1

    post_code

    OF vw_parcel_history_details

    WHERE parcel_id =: p341_parcel_id

    ORDER BY scan_date

    New query

    SELECT

    parcel_id

    status

    LOCATION

    scan_date

    scan_id

    driver_comments

    card_id

    (case

    When valid_geo_codes = 1 then: p341_valid_geo_codes1

    When valid_geo_codes = 2 then: p341_valid_geo_codes2

    When valid_geo_codes = 3 then: p341_valid_geo_codes3

    valid_geo_codes end)

    property_geo_lat

    property_geo_long

    scan_geo_lat

    scan_geo_long

    broke_geo

    line_1

    post_code

    OF vw_parcel_history_details

    WHERE parcel_id =: p341_parcel_id

    ORDER BY scan_date

    I want to put: p341_valid_geo_codes1,: p341_valid_geo_codes2,: p341_valid_geo_codes3,: p341_valid_geo_codes4 be various iterations of this large html string but I do not know how to format because all the quotes off the coast?

    Thank you

    AndyLou wrote:

    With a lot of attention.

    You are on the right track, yes you can do it.  That's all just annoying because the single quotes must be doubled in your SQL to be escaped.

    BUT the good thing is that the double quotes will not affect SQL only single quotes.

    Then. I think that your new query will look like this:

    SELECT
         parcel_id
        ,status
        ,LOCATION
        ,scan_date
        ,scan_id
        ,driver_comments
        ,card_id
        ,(case
          when valid_geo_codes=1 then
          'Google Maps'
          when valid_geo_codes=2 then
          'Google Maps'
          when valid_geo_codes=3 then
          'Google Maps'
          end) valid_geo_codes
        ,property_geo_lat
        ,property_geo_long
        ,scan_geo_lat
        ,scan_geo_long
        ,broke_geo
        ,line_1
        ,post_code
        FROM vw_parcel_history_details
      WHERE parcel_id = :P341_PARCEL_ID
      ORDER BY scan_date

    Baring of typos that probably works.

    I think you know that you need to change the display Standard for the HTML column displays in HTML format and not as text.

    I would be remiss in my duty if I did not mention that your values (such as line_1, post_code, etc.) if not controlled can contain the code of script in them, and then you may be susceptible to Cross Site Scripting attacks.  Not a problem for all the world, but it is worth noting.

    Thank you

    -Jorge

    PS. I should add that right now all span three of HTML is the same, if they are going to be the same, then I would refactor this to a single line of HTML and instruction box on the inside for the three sectors of the P341_VALID_GEO_CODES.  in any case, I think you get the idea.

  • onMouseOver displays the ToolTip of hidden column of the classic report

    What: The goal:
    Access more information that fits on a single line of the screen without using multiple fixed lines.

    Background:
    Classic report with 18 data elements (columns) visible. At the search box, and the user can choose the number of rows displayed.
    Some data elements can be long (20 to 30 characters) compared to the width of the screen. The element more right data risk of 100 characters.

    Proposed strategy:
    (1) display the n first characters of the item (s) long in the report.
    (2) display the entire item onMouseOver.

    Proposed approach:
    (1) for each column with the data of type long, contain the integer value in a hidden item.
    (2) value of (hidden) long display in tooltips (bubble? / ball?) on this value onMouseOver.

    Note: It is not framed to help/Help for a column but the display of the value of long type for a particular element in the line of a column.

    Search feature:
    (1) to reduce maintenance, wants to set up for several columns using a single common block of code.

    Question:
    In view of the other approaches, you know, it's a good approach to achieve the goal? Alternative approaches?

    Howard

    Well it took some time, and you really made me work for it. :)

    For flight hover end result on the job column Ln Nm.
    http://Apex.Oracle.com/pls/Apex/f?p=991202:1

    I added some old code, I had laying around. It adds a bubble that will stay for 5 seconds or until you click Next or move to another record.

    What I would do at this point, it is simply truncate the length of the Nm long to something short (with a substr). Use any indicator wished to hover. Like for example these glasses it's really up to you.

    You will see there is a PLSQL AJAX callback where you can retrieve and format the content of the pop-up window to everything you want. You can make it real.

          var get = new htmldb_Get(null,$v('pFlowId'),'APPLICATION_PROCESS=FULL_LONG_NAME',$v('pFlowStepId'));
          this.dGet();
         return;

         function dGet(){
               this.dTimeout = setTimeout("this.dCancel()",6500);
              get.addParam('x01',pId);
               get.GetAsync(dShow);
         }

         function dShow(){
               $x_Hide('rollover');
               if(p.readyState == 1){
               }else if(p.readyState == 2){
               }else if(p.readyState == 3){
               }else if(p.readyState == 4){
                     $x('rollover_content').innerHTML = p.responseText;
                     $x_Show('rollover');

                var l = findPosX(pThis)+pThis.offsetWidth+5;

    4 changed the Nm of Long column to have a link with the onmouseover call that calls the new procedure ShowJob. I made the assumption that with the NUM parameter, you could go the full record of what you need.

  • Classic report - add the column "select box"?

    I have a classic report and you want to add a column with a check box so that the user can select several lines and perform an action on all of the lines (delete selected, for example).  Looks like it should be easy and maybe integrated features, but I don't find it.  Is there a standard way to do this?

    You can access the values checked (for example in a process page)

    declare
    v_deleted_depts number := 0;
    begin
    FOR i in 1..APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01.count
    LOOP
      v_deleted_depts := v_deleted_depts + 1;
      delete from dept where deptno = APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01(i);
    END LOOP;
    :P1_DEPTCOUNT := v_deleted_depts;
    end;

    P1_DEPTCOUNT (hidden) is just for later interaction with this procedure - for example, you want to present your users with a message of success and error custom as "Deleted & P1_DEPTCOUNT. departments. »

    Maybe you would like to add an option to check all checkboxes at once. If so, read this blogpost Blog of Carl Backstrom: September 2007.

    Kind regards
