RH11: Luggage number or size limit of files?

Hello

I have a large WebHelp project that includes more than 2300 pdf as baggage, and I regularly add pdf files to the project. They are in several folders. I'm afraid I hit a limit to the number or size of the files of luggage.

  • Is there a limit to the number of files of luggage that can be included in a project?
  • Is there a limit to the number of files of luggage that can be included in a folder?
  • Is there a limit on the size of individual or cumulative files?

Thanks for the info,

Jeanne

Hello

As far as I know, the only limits are that would be imposed by your creation machine. However, you'll probably notice a slowdown due to the indexing of files all that much baggage. I think that I've seen reported before.

See you soon... Rick

  • Is there a size limit to file for the MP3 files on a Sandiak Clip +?

I bought the Clip + SanDisk so I could download radio 4 comedy programs to be able to listen to them during long car transfers. However, even if I can download files of any size and to see through my computer, I am not able to see the files via the Clip +.

Is there a limitation, and, if so, how can I get around the problem. My files are about 25 MB and I have the 8 GB player with bags of room left.

I know that in the e-mail servers different, there are restrictions on how big attachments can be.

  • Web.Show_Document - is there a file size limit?

It seems that Web.Show_Document has a display issue large .pdfs.
Example: Size a .pdf of * 2505 KB * would not display, however I compressed the .pdf for * 1172 KB * and the report displayed by using web.show_document with success.

I view the PDF in an Oracle forms using web.show_document. The user presses a button (view report) and displays the report. Except, now it does not display reports nearly 2000 KB in size.
The error indicates * "exhausted Resultset."

Is there a limit of size of file with web.show_document?

    Environmental context:
    Forms [32-bit] Version 9.0.4.1.0 (Production)
    Oracle Toolkit Version 9.0.4.1.0 (Production)
    PL/SQL Version 9.0.1.5.1 (Production)

    Generator 9.0.4.1.0
    ORACLE Server Release 9.0.1.5.1

    Oracle Database 10 g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 - Production 64-bit

As already mentioned, WEB. SHOW_DOCUMENT has nothing to do with the size of the file. This command simply sends a url to the system default browser. There is no magic Oracle here.

    The problem, you said:

... The error indicates * "exhausted Resultset."

    Where you see this message?
    Forms generates this message?
    What is a custom message?
What is the full text of the message?
    Is there an error number?

This doesn't seem to be a form generated the error message.

I would suggest to your store a large file in the location where your reports. The file must be in the same format (e.g. pdf). Open a browser and manually enter the url needed to extract the content. I suspect that the same problem recur IF you think that the problem only occurs when the request WEB form. SEE THE PROPERTY. If it happens again, then you have to less simplified the problem to a client browser requesting a document from a server.

  • Limit the size of the File Upload/accessory

    Hi people.

I'm trying to create a problem/bug of my request tracker item.

All work including attach parts supporting the question and e-mail questions and updates to users with attachments to e-mail to support.

What I am struggling with limit the size of the file that users can fix a problem (and therefore attach to emails).

I tried to implement a validation like this...
    if dbms_lob.getlength(:P203_DOCUMENT) > 3 then
       return 'Supporting document too large ('||dbms_lob.getlength(:P203_DOCUMENT)||').';
    else
       return null;
    end if;
I want to limit the size of the file to circa 1or2 Mb. What I found is that I dbms_lob.getlength(:P203_DOCUMENT) wildly different results to try to download files from the same sizes. for example, a test of 1105 KB file gives a performance of 57 and a file 2236 KB Gets a return of 20.

Had a scratch around the documentation, but it is not very clear.

If I run a query like this to the database...
    select dbms_lob.getlength(DOCUMENT)
    from user_issue_tracker
I'm starting to get better results (for example, the number of bytes in the file)

I expected an assessment of similar values in my validation by their SUMMIT, but I don't see the return values that I expect.

    Some popular ideas/comments/experiences.

    Kind regards

    Simon Gadd

    Simon,

    if dbms_lob.getlength(:P203_DOCUMENT) > 3 then

Unless I'm misunderstanding of your code, don't you passing the name file name as opposed to the BLOB real itself, which would certainly explain why you're not given the sizes you expect since this is only counting the size of the string, you pass in, for example.

    jes@TESTDB> select dbms_lob.getlength('foo') from dual;

    DBMS_LOB.GETLENGTH('FOO')
    -------------------------
                            3

    Hope this helps,

    John.

  • For MP3 file size limit?

I have the Sansa Fuze 8 GB with 16 GB Sandisk microSD, firmware version v02.01.17A card.
Internal memory has 48.1 MB free external card has 4.72 GB free.
    3419 mp3 files, 281 records

I record internet radio directly to MP3 (mp3directcut) for my weekend road trip and usually have a file size of 700 MB (8-10 hours of audio). I had a problem with VBR in that the "rocket" wouldn't report the length correctly, nor fast towards the before or rewind properly.

The files themselves are playing very well, but try to fast forward the commercials would never work properly. Sometimes she would fast 30 seconds, then I would press fast forward but it would in fact 5 minutes earlier. I know it's a problem with VBR then I was recording with CBR. Are all my songs mp3 VBR however and they work very well in all respects.

Recording to the CBR presented a new problem, the player will just lock up and stay insensitive. This occurred after 90 minutes of reading, but as soon as 10 minutes. The "rocket" can cut or just hang. In both cases, it won't power back upward. I finally found a way to place it again by connecting to the PC (the player has no connect or lights in itself), press for 30 seconds, release taken, then lights up normally.

Is there a size limit to the actual file on the "rocket" or anyone has any ideas on how to play these big mp3 files? Did anyone tried larger files with Ogg or WMA?

You must have 90 free MB on memory on your rocket to make it work properly!  Having said that here will tell you to leave 200 MB free on the internal memory precisely for this reason...  George

Is there a file size limit? I have not been able to find info on this subject.

Or is there a way to cut the file into chunks of size who will take care of Windows Movie Maker?  I don't want ot lose any of these images, but in this current state I can't see it at all.

I use Windows Vista and the latest version of Windows Movie Maker, but have the same problem on my XP Pro computer also.

    Thanks John,

I'll look into some of the elements that you suggest, but the video that I have problems with was shot with a camera GoPro Hero and I have serveral shooting more the same day, but shorter than Move Maker opens no problem at all.  That's why I me in question of the limit of file size.  I spoke with a few other people who use the GoPro camera identical to mine and they have no problems, but I don't know how big a folder that they shot and they couldn't remember.

  • My store of data of 16 TB limit of file size of 2 TB

Hello.  We have just received a new Dell PowerEdge R630 server with ten 2 TB drives in what I set up as a RAID5.  It is a server that I use in our new site of DR and will be a replication target site.  In any case, I installed the latest version of ESXi on it and it attached to my new vCenter server and then naturally had the precaution to create a data store.  So, through the process of doing this, I noticed at the end it says that there is a maximum file size limit of 2 TB.  See the attachment for my screenshot of it.  I don't know why this is, and in my research, I read that TB 62 is the maximum now.  I'm completely something misunderstanding?  My main concern is that I must be able to replicate my VMs in my production environment, running on an EMC SAN with NFS storage, my DR site using this new server in the target data store.  Some of my production virtual machines have vmdk files more than 2 TB; which is a matter of concern for this reason.  Any advice would be great! Thank you, Adam

What exactly is this "latest version of ESXi" you are talking about? On ESXi 5.5 and later versions, VMFS5 supports a maximum file size of 62 to

    According to the VMware KB:

Support of the disks of VMS over 2 TB in VMware ESXi 5.5 (2058287) | VMware KB

Block the size of a VMFS data store limitations (1003565) | VMware KB

The limits that apply to VMFS-5 data storage are:

The maximum size of virtual disk (VMDK) is 2 TB minus 512 B to ESXi 5.0 and 5.1. In ESXi 5.5, size is passed to 62TB.

If you are on 5.5 or 6.0, then I think that it is simply a cosmetic display bug in the c# Client. Among other new features, the deprecated c# client limits you to create VMDK up to 2 TB. You must use the Web Client to create and manage a VMDK more 2 TB, so maybe it's an indication that remained from previous versions of Client.

I would like to submit zxp package on the market, but I get 15 MB file size limit reviews.

I created the package which includes Illustrator templates and its size is 114 MB.

If so, you don't think it's limited to models such as Photoshop or Illustrator?

  • Audio decreases with the size limit of the file 2 gig between clips

Filming with a Sony HXR-NX5U, the camera creates a 2 gig file size limit then import the clips into Premiere Pro CS6. There are a few frames between clips where the audio falls and he is also a very slight decline in s in the video, this happens only between clips longer. I saw some references to this in the forum earlier but no answer. Any indeas!

Simple fix - copy of any content from SD card to the new folder on the hard disk, all the files intact. Then first, import using "Media Browser" rather than "file > import". With the media browser, split clips will be correctly handled, import as a single clip, long seedless.

    Hi Tayls450,

It should not happen because there is no maximum file size limit when combining PDF files.

Please let me know if there is some password protected PDF files also?
