RMAN-06729: no backup of the SPFILE found to restore

Dear all,

I'm doing the database using RMAN backup copy,

Server1 (test BD)

Linux

Oracle 11g R2

At the database

A RMAN backup

Server2 (DBNEW)

Linux

Oracle 11g R2

At the Instance

I did the Setup correctly on both servers and I copied the Server2 RMAN backup and then I run the command duplicate rman

:

DBNEW duplicate target database

SPFile

parameter_value_convert "Test BD", "DBNEW".

Set db_unique_name = "DBNEW".

Set db_file_name_convert = "/ test BD / ', ' / DBNEW / '.

Set log_file_name_convert = "/ test BD / ', ' / DBNEW / '.

Set control_files='/u01/app/oracle/oradata/DBNEW.ctl"

Set log_archive_max_processes = '5'

Set audit_file_dest = ' / u01/app/oracle/admin/DBNEW/adump.

Set db_recovery_file_dest ='/ backup_files'

nofilenamecheck;

When I run it, it gave this error:

    If you issue a DELETE, rman cannot stop or prevent you. It will allow you to delete the backups, even the last backup taken 1 minute ago, even when there is no other backup.

    The retention window only to rman control * auto * deletion of backups - backups obsolete because they are beyond the retention window.

    Copy all the files backup on VM2 for example C:\Backup folder and try

     set DBID ...
     restore controlfile from 'C:\Backup\C-3507808503-20130531-00';
     alter database mount;
     catalog start  with 'C:\bakup';
     restore database;

    If you are using same directories for databases on VM1 and VM2, not catalog must start with command.
    Because RMAN Catalog backup VM1 information in the control of catalog file repository.

    Thank you.

    Yes, you can restore and recover the backup, but not at the moment. You will only be able to restore and recover at the time of your backup.

    For example.

    If you take backup (mount point with no mode of journal archive) at 06:00 and your grave database crashes at 21:00, you will be able to restore and recover until 06:00. You will find all the changes made to the database between 06:00 and 21:00.

    If you want your database to recover until 9 PM or until a point in time, then you must put your database in log mode archive, and then save the archives.

  • ORA-19505 RMAN wants the second to the last backup of the Database 9i

    Thanks to those who answered previous questions about my attempts our 9i database recovering.

    The details are that we had a Database 9i running on Windows XP. The computer has been damaged but we recovered the hard drive where the Oracle database. I also have a very recent RMAN backup. The steps I have taken in the recovery of the database are:

    (1) install 9i
    (2) creation of instance with ORADIM
    (3) tried to restore SPFILE with RMAN, but he said that the backup did not contain the SPFILE
    (4) copied SPFILE old old oracle directory
    4A) RESTORE CONTROLFILE FROM "path to old piece of backup", it seemed to work fine.
    (5) mounted on database
    (6) copied the last backup piece (and capture instant controlfile: sncf [sid] .ora) to the new database folder
    (7) tried to RESTORE the DATABASE, but failed to restore, after the first sale correctly all the data files to restore, with ORA-19505, it is looking for the second to the last backup (that may still be available to another source, I'm looking for it)
    (8) BACKUP of LIST done. It shows all the backup until the second to last, but not the most recent
    (9) CROSSCHECK BACKUP OF DATABASE, it shows that all backups are expired, does not show the newest one
    (10) has tried to RESTORE the DATABASE again, this time it is stopped (without the ORACLE error), saying: there is no backup of the six data files.

    I may be able recover the backup piece that he needs. I suppose that if I move it into the database directory and that you raise OVERLAP that I would be able to RESTORE it (?). However, I'd rather widely to use the most recent backup, which is also in the database directory.

    Any ideas on how to obtain RMAN to recognize this backup piece?

    Thank you!

    Brian

    Once the RECOVERY is completed by RMAN, do not use RMAN to OPEN the database.

    Then use SQLPLUS / AS SYSDBA and
    MIGRATE FROM STARTUP
    ALTER DATABASE OPEN RESETLOGS

  • Fractured block found during the backup of the data file

    Hello

    Version: 10.2.0.3

    I take backups RMAN and export of db every night. The following error is recorded in the file alertlog while taking rman full backup. Also, the backup is very slow and it worked at 18hrs now (200 GB db size). Could someone please explain this to me that this error on and the action to take to solve this problem? Thank you

    The problem may occur when the data being backed up file is simultaneously and widely used. It does not necessarily mean there is really block corruption. And in your case it seems that all is well:

  • RMAN-06023: no backup or copy of datafile 40 found to restore

    I'm using Oracle 10.2.0.3on Linux.

    I have a full backup taken a few months back.

    Database changes are quite small, so I was asked to do a recovery until the time.

    After the last database backup a few spaces have been created, and I do not have a backup of them.

    Now, when I tried to restore from old backup I hit this error

    RMAN > restore database from tag = "TAG20080819T104511";

    From restoration to 17 December 08

    RMAN-06023: no backup or copy of datafile 38 found to restore

    Is it possible to ignore these storage spaces and to make a point in time recovery?

    Hi Ben!

    To exclude a tablespace in backup/restore do the following:

    Find the name of the repository where 40 datafile belongs to 1.).

    SELECT tablespace_name
    FROM dba_tablespaces t, dba_data_files d
    WHERE t.tablespace_name = d.tablespace_name
    AND d.file_id = 40;

    2.) configure an exclusion for this tablespace (allows to name TS1) in rman

    CONFIGURE EXCLUDE FOR TABLESPACE TS1;

    3.) Repeat steps 1 and 2 for datafiles 38 and 39.

    4.) Restore the database

    RESTORE DATABASE;

    5.) Actually you can't recovery your database because of the missing datafiles. Try to recreate them. This will only work, if you've all the archivelogs since your last backup. Do this within SQL*Plus

    startup mount

    ALTER DATABASE
    CREATE DATAFILE 40
    AS 'path/filename of file number 40';

    6.) repeat step 5 for 38 and 39 data files

    I don't exactly know if it works or not but I hope!

  • Backup failed with error 18: the backup drive is not found

    Hello

    My guard time capsule saying "Backup failed" for a few days and I cannot access the old backup files either (when I enter my time machine it shows 'today', which is kind of scary, although I know that my old files is still there). I tried many ways to trouble shoot this problem, but none of this has worked. In my opinion, it's more a network problem and I made sure I connect Wi - Fi even my time capsule created.

    So far I have tried:

    -Delete the files from my internet (com.apple.airport.preferences.plist; preferences.plist and NetworkInterfaces.plist, etc.) and restart my mac

    -Remove TimeMachine.plist and restart my mac

    -Hard reset of my time capsule. Went through all configurations with success but then still backup missed (I hear the running time capsule when it is by train).

    I share this time capsule with my wife and she has no problem with that.

    I can only think of a possible alternation I did which could cause this problem.

    Because of unstable WiFi problem, I had deleted

    com Apple.Airport.Preferences.plist

    com.Apple.Network.identification.plist

    NetworkInterfaces.plist

    Preferences.plist

    or other files and reboot my mac * before * I had this problem with time capsule.

    However, this is not the first time I do it, and it wasn't a problem before...

    This could be the reason? If so, how to restore the network settings?

    Please help me with this problem. Really appreciate!

    Ted

    What model is the TC?

    Try to force the connection to 2.4 ghz using different names for the various bands... or even better to use ethernet.

    (You may need to buy love at first sight for adapter Ethernet... is an investment worth considering how unreliable wireless).

    Also give me some screenshots of the TC installing airport utility.

    Can you get it in the Finder?
