RMAN backup not producing do not backup the files/size

Hi Experts.

I have a shell script at the request of backup the database every day. Every day, it works well, but he was hanged, so we have erased its PID and run the script manually but it doesn't produce any file backup now. I see no error in the backup log file.

Could you please say what could be the reason of it?

Thank you

  • RMAN does not delete obsolete files in a reliable way

    Hello experts RMAN,

    I have 11.2.0.1.0 on Windows Server 2003

This instance IS in ArchiveLog mode. Do NOT use the catalogue

Recently, I noticed inconsistent behavior of RMAN to delete obsolete backup sets.

Let me give you an example: for months, I had the window of recovery set to 12 days.

RMAN > view the retention policy.
    CONFIGURE RETENTION POLICY TO RECOVERY OF 12 DAYS WINDOW;

Yesterday, 3/27 report obsolete showed this file:

    20270 23 March 12 backup set
    Total backup, 20270 F:\ORACLE\FLASH_RECOVERY_AREA\PBS March 23, 12
    \BACKUPSET\2012_03_23\O1_MF_ANNNN_TAG20120323T050002_7PRLFJ36_. BKP

    Today, 3/28, ran my work of simple deletion: delete NOPROMPT obsolete;

Now, 2012_03_23\O1_MF_ANNNN_TAG20120323T050002_7PRLFJ36_. BKP no longer exists.

Not all the files backup for 3/23 have been removed, only a small number.

But why is any file 3/23 get deleted when the recovery window is 12 days?

Of course, I'm afraid that my RMAN backups is perhaps not valid.

Is that what someone did this experiment with RMAN on Windows?

Thanks for all the ideas. John

BACKUP VALIDATE... will not check your backups already taken.
To do this, you need to run VALIDATE BACKUPSET or RESTORE VALIDATE that will search all the backup files needed to do a restore.

Restoration of points must be created manually, so it's ok your results, if you have not created a.

  • Export of pictures not of the same size as file Photos

Try to export files to then import into Photoshop elements 15. I exported "original not modified", but the file size is about 50 GB when my photo file is about 80 GB. What did I miss? Thank you

Your photo library is larger than the handset sizes original in your library pictures because pictures take the edited versions previews and thumbnails as well. There are also masks for brushed settings or thumbnails of scanned faces.

To see if you got all the original ctrl - click on your photo library, use "Show Package Contents", look at the size of the folder "masters".  It is roughly the size of the folder with the exported originals?

  • How to export an edited photo and did not stay the same size?

In iPhoto, I could choose the resolution of the photos I want to export. In the Photos, I see no way to do it. I tried to export a picture which has been published and it went from 5.7 MB to 1.7 MB. Changes should not have shrunk it as it (percentage terms it should be not less than 3.7 MB). 1.7 MB, I won't be able to use the photo as planned.

How many more of these deficiencies of boring I'll have to suffer with photos?

Sorry, but we cannot see you if you actually have to provide us with accurate and complete information

Firstly, you say that you use Mavericks OS X 10.9.5 and also specify that you use Photos - which is not possible if you need to tell us what software you use - the answers are different for different software and versions

In the Photos you have exactly the same quality and size export options that you have in iPhotp if you need to share exactly what you do step by step and tell us what changes you made - for example a large harvest could easily reduce the file size of a picture of 60% or more

Exactly how is that what made you appear the size 'should be '?

  • Can I backup the files before recovery?

    Hello

If you use the recovery disk to load windows (I have Windows Vista 32-bit) is it possible to save files (photos, etc...) before wiping these files on the hard drive?

You can try to start Vista in safe mode. Start your laptop, and then press F8. Choose the option to start the operating system in safe mode. At the start of Vista external HARD drive or memory key USB connection and copy all your data here.

I did it three weeks ago. I wasn't able to boot Vista correctly due to the blue screen.

This is because my main computer use will be for navigation (boat) and I was told that most navigation programs will work better with XP. I have almost nothing on my laptop so far, and the system already seems to be slow and freezing too often.

My question is now on the program of concept maps which I just installed and which does not open. He repeats to me "Eorror: could not open the file attribute.

What does that mean? I uninstall and reinstall the program, and he comes back with this message.
I had a glance at the Device Manager, and the only thing that seems incorrect is the PCI memory controller.
I did a bit of research on this and it seems that this driver is not required for XP? Is this true?

Would this be a cause of C-Maps program does not?

    Thanks in advance.

    > I did a bit of research on this and it seems that this driver is not required for XP? Is this true?
Where did you read this info?
I put t know if the driver is not required, but you get all the drivers on the Toshiba site.

For your problem with concept maps, I think that it is best to contact you that support the conceptual maps. Here, this is a forum for Toshiba laptops.
