RTGetTimestamp.vi

The help of RT is Timestamp.vi says:

Inserts a timestamp value 64 bit from a source of high-precision synchronization in a table preallocated an index value specified by iteration.

What is the source of high-precision synchronization?  I want to know the speed of this source, so I don't know how much time passed by little changed.

I looked at the analysis of Timestamp RT and found the Get Timestamp Frequency.vi RT.  (It is in the rtutility.llb).

I used in a vi on the PXI-8104 RT Get Timestamp Frequency.vi, and the frequency was 1 GHz (confirming the previous message).
