Run full screen automatically?

My Captivate simulation should be run full screen. Rather than having a page with links where the learner can click, links must be integrated into a PowerPoint presentation (I know, I know, but that's what they want). My client wants to avoid having Internet Explorer window open with a "click here... full screen" link. I don't know no way to put this in a PPT file, so I wonder if anyone has done the IE window redirect the version full screen with a code to redirect (or something) to automatically run the simulation mode full-screen. (Phew! That there any sense?)

Thanks in advance!

Hi LJezsik and welcome to the forums!

Full screen in the browser is available by opening a new window (where the "full screen" link) or incorporating it in an ActiveX control custom.

I would exclude the ActiveX option, since it is both technically difficult (I saw it done once, but don't know how) and only works for Internet Explorer in any case.

This leaves the new approach of the window. A redirect is not an option... the "full screen" cannot apply even if a window is first opened, and even in this case only when the window is open in Javascript.

The best you can hope is to open a page that opens another page in full screen, immediately adding some verbiage to the first page that says something like "content has opened in a new window. It's safe to close this window.

An example of the "autolauncher" page is included below as an example. It does not use the 'full screen' setting of the window.open() method because it is open in IE6, which doesn't seem to give the user a way to close the new window once. You can easily change this by setting the parameter to yes in the code below.

Last week, I bought this new Toshiba satellite laptop. It has Windows 7. None of my games will run full-screen. I've never had any problem with them my other computers or XP or Vista systems.

I'm just sick of trying to understand this. The only solution after it is simply to return the new laptop and buy a used one that works on Xp or Vista.

If there is someone who could help me, I would be eternally grateful. I am so angry with this. I am the owner of a gambling site and none of my games 33 will now work with the Windows 7 program.

    Hi Tmiller2008,

What are the games you play?

Are you trying to play the games online in mode full screen?

If you download the games and install them on the computer, you can try to do it in compatibility mode and check if it helps to play games using the full screen.

  • Enabling full screen automatically

    My virtual machine environment:

    OS: Win XP SP3

    Guest OS: Win XP SP3

    VMware Workstation 6.5.4 build-246459

VMware tools are installed in the comments.

Recently I wrote a .bat script that automates a VM using the VMware vix so that it feeds now, runs a few tests, and turns off the virtual machine (I put it back to the snapshot during extinction - VM > Setings > Options > snapshot/Replay). The problem I'm facing is that the tests fail because the option full screen must be selected - view > full screen (which defines the resolution of 1280 x 1024) and that this option can be selected manually because the .bat script is run after hours.

Is it possible to configure the virtual machine to automatically display in full screen, whenever it is eaten on? Perhaps by an order in the vmx file or vmware vix?

    MAZ

You can run a virtual machine with:

    VMware x C:\path\to\file.vmx

who will turn on and switch to full screen mode.

There is also a setting that does the same thing in the settings of the virtual machine-> options-> power-> enter mode full screen after power on.

  • My msdos program used to run full screen in Windows XP. Now, it occupies the upper third of the screen complete with the rest with scrolling and black.

My old program MS - Dos ran full-screen in earlier versions of Windows, including earlier versions of Windows XP. Because of something in one of the updates is now the top third only in mode full screen, with the rest of the screen black, white and scrollable (as the Windows XP version of the command prompt has always been). How to return to a usable full-screen version (that is, the previous version of MS-DOS)?

  • IPAs run full screen on an iphone6 +.

Tried everything but so far without success. Get the black borders on the sides. Tried all the @x 2, @x 3 stuff I guess. Change the settings of launchScreen, added depentent of files, no luck. Otherwise, everything is correct, functioning on the iphone 6 +.

For applications to be full screen you must include the right splash screens. This article, while aiming at AIR apps, should help to understand which ones you need:

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that when you open a movie and play full-screen, after about 5 minutes it stops. This is usually caused by a process running in the background.

    If you try this.

In the search bar (run) type msconfig and press enter
    Click on the Services tab
Check hide all Microsoft services (lower-left)
    Disable all
Now select 50% or 1/2 on services and click on apply

This will remove 1/2 of the processes that are running normally. Now try to open your movie.  If it always comes out full screen, repeat the above process and eliminating 1/2 again running services, if it worked properly uncheck the first set of services and check out the other 50% and try again. You try to locate the process which is causing the problem by eliminating the process running until you are able to locate one that is the cause.

    I hope this helps.

  • Stop menu bar to appear while in an application full screen.

    I am running 10.11.5.

Does anyone know how to stop the menu bar from appearing when, in an application that runs full screen? If I move my mouse to the top of the screen, it raises the bar of drop-down menus and become visible in the application.

This completely defeated the point of run the application in full-screen, as it is impossible to access anything whatsoever to the top of the screen without accidentally trigger it.  Thank you.

No, this is not possible. But if you add a second monitor to your iMac, you can be "menubarless".

  • Mystery P.I. New York will not play in full screen

Just buy Mystery P.I. New York (a game of "PopCap") for my laptop.  The demo was preinstalled on my computer (HP Games) and I found a packed version (disc) cheaper than what it would have cost to activate the demo online.

The demo plays fine in full screen; However, the full version of the game I have installed will not be open in full screen.  I tried to adjust the screen resolution, but that did not work.

Since it is a hidden object game, it is pretty hard to see items with the screen being so small.  Can anyone help?

    Hello

    1. are you able to play any other game mode full screen?

Start the game and then find the setting in the game to run full-screen mode. More for the games will have the opportunity in the game to set the mode to full-screen or reduce video resolution.

  • Runnning BACK full screen in Windows Vista

I try to open and read some of my old school games, but I am unable to get the screen BACK to run full-screen mode.  I have no idea what to do from here.  I think I'm under the 32-bit version of Vista.

    Hello

Welcome to Microsoft Windows 7 answers Forum!

The problem occurs because the Windows device drivers support all video modes BACK running. Windows device drivers are based on the Mode operating system display driver. You must contact the manufacturer of the driver or display adapter to get help.

  • Error Windows XP Mode: "device failed to initialize for mode video full screen.»

When I try to run an old MS-DOS application in Windows XP Mode, I get the following error in the system under MS-DOS 16-bit: "the device video failed to initialize for mode full screen.» I use Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 edition.

The program starts in mode text very well, but when he tries to enter graphics mode, the error message described above results.

It would seem that the emulation of the video driver in Windows XP Mode isn't quite complete as far as emulation goes. The application is an old one that was written in Borland Pascal 7.0 and used the BGI graphics programming interface. There is no equivalent version of Windows, and I would like to be able to run under Windows 7. He ran under a native install of Windows XP Pro, switch mode full-screen graphic as needed without any problem.

Is there something that can be done to make it work under Windows XP Mode in Windows 7? The emulator of map graphics of virtual machines may be adjusted/changed somehow to run full-screen graphic mode?

I had the same problem too, so instead of using the windows mode I downloaded dosbox and the programmaX interface. It's great for running applications in DOS on windows (all versions as far as I know.)

    www.dosbox.com

its pretty easy to install just choose a directory to install to. Then to install the interface you simply point to the directory where you installed dosbox. When you start the interface (programmaX), there will be a button to the top of the upper part called Assistant. Just click on the wizard button and follow the pages. If you want to create an icon for it in windows just goto tools... create a shortcut, and then click ok when the box is in place. ;)

Best of all, its all to is free with the exception of pay for you're internet usage.

  • I lose the point of the mouse with a desktop in full screen with media center.

I am running windows 7 64 bit. I have a graphics card 9800GT running a monitor and a LCD TV. I have the video installation of screens as extended desktop so that media center can run on the TV while I still have access to other functions of windows on the PC monitor. What happens is that when the library is running full screen on the TV I do not get a pointer on the other TV. When I close the Media Center or move it to full screen, the mouse pointer is still visible on both screens. It's really annoying. Does anyone know how to solve?

I tried your suggestion and it did not work to retrieve the pointer of the mouse, BUT I don't have a partial solution. I bought a MCE remote and it allows me to control MCE well without the mouse. However, the downside is that I can't run other applications using the computer screen (the other view runs MCE) since I have no control of the mouse. Maybe you could help me out here. If I could remap a key on the remote control to switch in MCE mode while I run an app as I have everything that I need. Is there a key combination that will increase MCE from full screen to windowed mode?

However, you must put in a bug report as I see quite a few others see mouse problems MCE running in mode full screen display.
