S6000 Tab - WiFi Direct

Hello gentlemen,

Could you help me get it someone maybe by the following,

6000 S Lenovo, direct WiFi tab app connects to other devices, however the files or folders you transfer are not met, the transfer fails and the two devices are always connected.

I tried different devices, files, folders, pictures and mp3, nothing works

Any ideas?

Very appreciated

Disiza

Has also had a problem getting direct wifi to work on s6000 - I can see other devices and they can see me but the direct link of the wifi does not appear in my applications when trying to share files.

It seems that Lenovo has messed around with Android that this feature does not work on the S6000.

I found a work around with the Hitchernet app available on Google App store - two devices must have this installed and I could send and receive data through this application. Many other applications works or is suitable only for transfer of data to and from a PC/laptop - I need the Android to Android feature either compressed or mobile phone and vice versa. I also found a few apps would download on a Samsung device, but not for the S6000, clearly, Lenovo too tampered with Android - if the first problem I've had with the Tablet - far has been happy with it but now feel irritated with Lenovo.

With additional software on your Android device as a server or an FTP client (see https://play.google.com/store/search?q=ftp&c=apps), or Google Reader (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.docs), it is quite easy to move data between your PC and the server.  Finding a Bluetooth dongle for your PC (see http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_5_9?url=search-alias%3Dcomputers&field-keywords=bluetooth+dongle&sprefix=bluetooth%2Ccomputers%2C571#/ref=sr_kk_1?rh=i%3Acomputers%2Ck%3Abluetooth+adapter&keywords=bluetooth+adapter&ie=UTF8&qid=1374094444) would be another way to go.  My desktop PC came with WiFi and Bluetooth in it.

I find it easier, however, to connect my device Android on my PC with a USB cable and just drag and drop files between the PC and the device.

  • ENVY 5540 All - In - One Printer: how to change the password want TO 5540 WIFI Direct from HP default to a different password?

I try the functions on my new 5540 ENVY. Everything is set up and working correctly so far. I just printed a document from my iPad using the WIFI Direct function on the printer successfully. However, the default password on the printer for the WIFI Direct is simply "12345678". Surely, it should be replaced by a more secure password. My friend something printed its iPad - so obviously, this password is not exclusive to me, anyone can print stuff on my printer just for fun and I have a lot of students around me, the problem could become expensive for me and very boring. WIFI Direct signal covers a distance. I contacted HP telephone support, but the process is time consuming and I had to hang up because I had to work. Maybe someone here could give me instructions, and I can change the password when I have free time. I use wifi for internet (cable ethernet only) and the printer connected via USB to the computer. Also, when I turn on my computer (BUT NOT THE ROUTER) on the wireless function, the printer is and what I need to do is enter "12345678" and start printing. There is no guarantee either. Can someone tell me how to change the password for WIFI Direct 5540 envy? Thank you.

I'm sure that you can change the EWS web page for your printer.

  • WiFi Direct | Bluetooth THE | NFC - Questions

does not do anything with WiFi Direct even as a developer - only as a user for Miracast.

    have tested the sample application

now have a few questions before I decide to use it

Maybe someone can share some details

    ---

    WIFI DIRECT

Is it possible after the first synchronization of time to connect without user interaction?

If possible it is possible the app without a head?

    ....

    think of this workflow:

    environment:

    * Peripheral BB10

    * W Arduino THE BT / WIFI live support

    UseCase:

User with BB10 device detects via THE BT as its is close to the Arduino

BB10 App connects to the Arduino via WIFI Direct

Data are transferred from Arduino to BB10 via WIFI Direct

better would be if - after the first time synchronization is made - it could be done in the background

    (without head on BES10)

If the background is not possible could also be executed if reduced

    most important:

ANY intervention from the user to connect via THE BT and WIFI Direct

If this cannot be done without - is it possible to be done using NFC tags?

    ----

    more details on the usecase:

    (a) a truck driver already running BB10 business app for managing work orders

    (b) inside of the truck, there is an Arduino by CAN - bus of tracking data and Mongo DB collection

Truck driver going in and out of the truck and if there inside the truck collected data should be transferred to the BB10 device, then BB10 sends the CAN bus data to the server via MQTT if there is network coverage or later via WIFI in the office

The great thing: customer didn't need additional SIM for CAN-bus-transfer of data, the BB10 device is already used for orders and sends data via REST to the server

I modified the sample WiFiDirect-ion, so that half of the application that receives connections ran without head and it worked.  The one catch is that notification of the API is always displayed.  Here's a picture of what it looks like to my blog a WiFi direct connection mode that displays the command prompt.

So you could do the Wi - Fi Direct connection from an application without a head without requiring the intervention of the user, but the dialog box is displayed.  But you can't have a WiFi connection to Direct a headless application without the user accepts the connection (see this screenshot of the same blog).

So for your case, it should work since you could do your application BlackBerry 10 connection to the Arduino.

  • [Issue] How data is transferred when you use BlackBerry (NFC) Tag? WiFi Direct? Bluetooth 2.1? Bluetooth 3.0?

    Hello

I saw a bunch of videos of demonstration of tag BlackBerry of all the cool things you can do with the NFC, but it wondered, what happens if all my other antenas wireless, WiFi and Bluetooth, are out of?

NFC can be used to transfer data, but it is not good for large quantities. I looked a little further and I found this cool video showing the difference to use Bluetooth 2.1, Bluetooth 3.0 high speed and Wifi Direct to transfer large files, such as videos. BB10 already does support Wifi Direct? Bluetooth 3.0 high speed?

I hope that BB10 supports ALL the performance and maximum compatibility.

I don't know where to post this question so here's. Please move was a better place. I think that the community needs a session of general development for wider issues.

    See you soon!

    Hello

Tag BlackBerry, and the APIs available for developers will automatically perform the best way to transfer the data. NFC supports something called "connect transfer" and are the largest payloads or certain types of data (photos, for example) rather than by peer-to-peer NFC, NFC mode data transfer is just used to negotiate alternative transport. In the case of the BlackBerry smart phones, this alternative will be bluetooth.

For users of touch devices, there is a brief 'conversation' between the devices on the NFC and this translates into a bluetooth connection set up and data transfer initiated through the bluetooth connection faster. This is all without the usual matching process. After reaching the stage of bluetooth devices need closer will be of course.

The same principle applies to both 7 BlackBerry and BlackBerry 10. In fact talk us a bit about this in our latest article on BlackBerry 10 NFC API:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/native-development/BlackBerry-10-sharing-using-NfcShareManage...

    I hope this helps.

  • WIfi Direct (WiDi) on laptop Studio 1749?

If I add an Intel N 6235 card to a laptop Studio 1749 he will support WiFi Direct?  Does rely on the particular spec of the 1749 individual and if so how can I check?

    TIA,

    Mike

Open Device Manager in Control Panel.  If you see a listed card ATI or Intel, you have discreet video that will not support WIDI.  If you see an Intel graphics card, you should have the WIDI support.

  • Windows 8, cellular modem and WiFi direct printing problem.

    • I have a Samsung ATIV Smart tablet PC running windows 8 (not RT). The Tablet contains a cellular radio. We use the tablet in an environment without Wi - Fi access so access to internet via the cell connection.
    • We have a Samsung printer that sets its own Wi - Fi hot spot to printing purposes. (WiFi Direct?).
    • We can browse the internet with Internet Explorer, and we can print to the printer using a wireless connection. However, when it is connected to the printer via Wi - Fi (printer only, not internet), even if the cellular connection stays 'connected', the browser can no longer access the internet.
It seems that there is something in the PC saying: ' hey, I have a Wi - Fi connection, so I'm not going to use cell phone for my Internet "even if there is no available WiFi internet. Is there anything I can do about it? The goal of buying this material was able to complete and print the web according to the forms in the hospital, where we have no access to the hospital network.

    Hi Rick,

There could be conflicts with the Wi - Fi and cellular connection. Based on this situation, I suggest you contact the Samsung Support for assistance on this issue.

I see on wifi alliance tl 938g is certified for direct wifi but I force found how how it works.

    Is there this function?

    Hello

I found in the manual of the user information that the TL938 supports Intel WiDi.
So in this case the LCD is equipped with a WiFi Intel card supporting 802.11 b/g/n standard.

You should be able to configure this in the settings of the TV

  • WiFi Direct in Android runtime

    Hello

Now that BBOS10.2 supports direct WiFi, are there any plans in direct support of Wifi in the Android runtime? What is the timetable for this?

    ~ M Shea.

Thanks for the update. I assumed that it is more likely that direct Wifi is added to execution, that Fuji porting the app to BB10.

If they were to make a non-native port (like Skype) they would have direct access to Wifi?
