Said it hangs whenever I stopped it
When I stopped hearing, I get a notification that the program quit unexpectedly-
Then when I return to use again, I have to reset my preferences of audio material for my Scarlett 2i4 again.
I have the latest update installed, and this didn't happen in the previous version.
Thank you!
Stop unexpectedly = crash, so you need to do, is exactly what it says in this thread:

For this issue, you need not to clear cookies, just put in cache. Certainly, you don't need to erase all the cookies.
If you want to delete cookies for a single site only, you can use the Page Info dialog box.
While displaying a page on the site, try either:
- Right click on the page > View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies".
- (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > 'view the Cookies '.
- Click on the padlock or globe in the address bar > additional information > "View Cookies".
In the dialog that opens, the name of the site should be pre-filled in the search/filter above box. Here you can remove cookies from the site individually.

Vista loses the "Recent items" stories and internet and forget passwords whenever it stops
I am running Vista Ultimate SP2. Everything is great - except that whenever I stop the Vista computer quickly disappears from my list of recent articles and removes my internet browser history. As long as the computer remains turned on, everything works fine: documents are stored and internet history accumulates well (I'm in Chrome and IE8: both have the same symptoms, and the history options are set to 30 days). I don't think it's a problem of browser definition. Automatic filling and automatic passwords do not work either. Vista has a setting somewhere that deletes all temporary files with each end-/ restart?
It is likely to be your anti-virus/internet security suite/system maintenance program. Check the privacy settings herein. If you have CCleaner running at startup, you would see to this effect.

Laptop hangs at startup - (stop classpnp.sys)
I have a laptop of 8943 G old Acer of 10 week who couldn't start about 2 weeks after the purchase, the problem solved startup repair, but he returns a week later. This question is the same as that experienced other users in that, once trying to boot in safe mode, the system stops at classpnp.sys. Now, nothing less than a full factory reset solves the problem, but he returned in a few days to a few weeks.
Here are the repair startup error report:

Locale ID: 1033Here is what I tried already solve the problem, such as recommended by other users with this issue:
Reset factoy - problem returns.
Disable write-behind caching on all drives - runs very slowly and finally does not start.
Pass BIOS sata AHCI mode on IDE - blue screen on startup.
Update all the drivers of devices - no effect.
BIOS update - no effectI am at a loss to know what to do then short it to try to get a new card mother or HARD drive. Any ideas would be appreciated as much info as to whether a new HDD or MB would help or not. The laptop is still under warranty Acer so this isn't a problem.
Thanks in advance.

MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard
If there are 3rd party with their own software and drivers and the other main device drivers
you have. Now, go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restore)

Make sure that it is installed and repeat if necessary.Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW to the device makers DO NOT RUN THEIR
