  source files are not compatible with Movie Maker.

  There is no problem at all. I can confirm that on older models of computers laptops info has been shown as a percentage and the remaining time.
  When you use your laptop on battery power and when the battery capacity drops below the 90 or 80% you still see percent of the life of the battery only?

  I noticed that the percentage is displayed only if the battery is 100% charged and disconnected. Wait a bit and re-check.

  If you have the power adapter attached it won't show the level of age %; remaining time is not a factor when the AC is attached.

  When running on battery, you can click with the right button on the battery meter and choose between time and % age level, just left click to view.

  Please follow the steps below
  Step 1: We will try everything first uninstall and reinstall the software of battery.
  Step 2: Click on Start and type device in the search for field, and then select Device Manager.
  Step 3: In the batteries category, right-click in the list of Microsoft ACPI compatible with battery control method and choose Uninstall.
  Step 4: WARNING: Do not remove the Microsoft AC adapter driver or any other compatible ACPI driver.
  Step 5: In the taskbar from the Device Manager, click on search for the hardware changes.
  Step 6: Windows will scan your computer for hardware which has not installed the drivers and will install the necessary drivers to manage the battery power.

  I also recommend the battery calibration.

  I had a Satellite A200 on Vista and XP, and I'm NOT able to see the remaining estimated battery time. I see only the percentage left.

  For example, I use my laptop unplugged for over an hour (my comments) and I can only see the percentage left (45%), but I can't see the time remaining.

  My laptop Satellite Pro A200 is a little over 1.5 years (or young: P) and I have a huge problem with the battery - it only lasts for a total of _26 minutes_ under "high performace" mode in Vista - other modes the power increase time to 5-7 minutes.

  If parts of different hardware such as CPU, GPU, HDD, ODD, display perform better performance then dramatically decreases your battery work time
  In addition, if you lose a stronger battery (9 or 12 cells cell) then you should be abele run Notepad a lot more time using the battery power.
